End of Week 22

*blink blink*

Last night, we went to do the monthly check-up. It is the same routine, same feedback from doctor. Let me recall back, see anything is different from the previous visits.

Ah, this time there is the urine test and the result is normal.

Ah, this month I gain 1.8kg! HAHA!! I am 62.3kg now. :) Scary! With this progress, I can reach 70kg before due lo. How long does it take to lose 15kg-20kg?!! I have no experience in losing even 1 kilogram yet. :(

Ah, the scan is blur and can only see Cola's body part by part instead of the whole body now. The head is round, the stomach is also round. Not much to be seen this time.

Ah, the doctor measured Cola's stomach size which later he told me that Cola's slightly overweight and we need to monitor the size of the round tummy. :) Cola's weight is 550g. :) Cola is just like the parents, loves to eat! *giggle*

Ah, overall the doctor only give me a "GOOD".

Ah, the doctor said the gender not yet change, still a boy. That's how we were told. -.-" Anyway, I am not that eager to know it now because I will let Cola to tell me in August.

p/s: I am grateful that I still feel like myself and do not feel the burden yet. :)

12th July 2007, Shenzhen - Guangzhou

Breakfast at KFC.

That morning, we went to Shenzhen Book City, it is the second biggest bookstore in the country according to wikipedia. At first, we did not plan to buy any books when we thought of the trouble to carry the books back. But the attractive prices made us grabbing one book after another, well, we only bought a few traveling handbook in the end.

Lunch at 面点王,a franchise merchant which can be easily found in Shenzhen, and later we found it in Guangzhou too.

We took the train to Guangzhou that afternoon. :) The journey is about an hour.

We stayed at Landmark Canton Hotel, which later we found that it is so near to the bus station to travel to Zhuhai.
The cute mini bar found inside the room.

As we were getting lazier, we decided to dine in the hotel.
The restaurant looks grand and the food they served is not bad too.
The waitress served us with kung fu tea which later on we found out that the tea is expensive. :(

I love the dessert - durian puff. I stuffed myself with 5 of them! Ccw rarely wants to eat durian.
Durian puff! I likey!

At night, we shopped along the Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street (上下九商业步行街).

Kinder Bueno

Yummy~~~
Taken from: http://www.ferrero.co.uk/

This milk chocolate-covered wafer with smooth milk and hazelnut filling is my most favourite chocolate product from Ferrero.

Few months back, you can only find this Kinder bueno at Famous Amos and one or two of the chocolate shops at Kuching International Airport in the whole of Kuching. Now, you can find it in Ta Kiong, tHe Spring and also Famous Amos, Boulevard in Kuching.

Normally, a packet of this 43g milk chocolate wafer with only 2 bars is costed at RM3.30. Most of the times, they are packed 3 in 1, so you have no choice but to spend RM9.90 for it. Well, this does not really matter, one packet is never enough to satisfy me. Sometimes, if there is promotion going on, you can get it around RM8.50 - RM9.00 for 3 packets.

When I was shopping at Ta Kiong few days back, I saw the price for a packet of Kinder Bueno is RM2.50 only! Now, if you can calculate it, 3 x RM2.50 is RM7.50. Meaning to say, buying 3 packets of Kinder Bueno from Ta Kiong can save you RM2.40 and you can buy a bowl of kolo mee for lunch by adding another 10 cents!

If you are chocolate fans, you will definitely love this Kinder Bueno!

**This information is brought to you by Redsponge for free.

p/s: I just looked up for the meaning of bueno. It is actually a spanish word which pronounce as BWEH-noh. It means good, nice.

Updated on April 26th, it is Famous Amos, not Amos Famous. 'x'!!!!

Guess who is Peter?!

Do you still remember my nephew, Bulat?!

He is going to be 2-years-old soon. Gosh, time passes by so fast. I still remember the day he cried "aiyok~ aiyok" at GH after the operation. He was still a newborn that time. Now, he has already grown into a toddler.

He cannot speak sentences yet but he picks up word by word.

He cannot pronounce words start with K correctly. He pronounces it as T.

He calls kong kong as tung tung and ku ku as ah-tu-ah.

Not long ago, he learnt the word "Peter" from a song that his mama sang to him. Since then, he calls me "ah-tu-ah" and followed by "Peter". We always have to remind him that I am his ku ku and not Peter.

Recently, he tends to call kong kong and ku ku as ah-tu-ah.

So, yesterday, he was trying to tell my mama something about ah-tu-ah. My mama was confused and trying to figure out whether he was refering to kong kong or ku ku. He replied: "Peter!"

*faint*

Instead of telling my mama either it is tung tung or ah-tu-ah, he chooses to differentiate us using a more direct way.

So, I am Bulat's dearest Peter. :)

The 21st Week

It is time for me to share my excitement here again.

Guess what? I can feel Cola's movement, or the so-called quickening in the beginning of week 20. I am not sure how to describe the feelings. It is like there are bubbles inside.

Then last week, when I was lying on bed, I felt the bubbles inside again. I put my hand onto my tummy, and to my surprise, Cola was actually giving me a kick. No, I did not tear but it is marvelous. Too bad, ccw missed it. He was in JB that time.

I did not feel any kick for the following days until the night ccw came back. Ccw was so excited when he felt Cola's kick. He pressed his ear against my tummy trying to listen to Cola, and once again Cola kicked right at his ear! LOL!

Are you anxious to meet Cola? I do.

I got his first ultrasound scan printout last Saturday. :)

As expected, the printout is not clear. To those who are interested, please examine the photo below carefully. I will try my best to describe it.

In the printout, Cola is lying on his back. His head is on the right, the body on the left and he is resting one of his hand on his chest. In fact, you can see his heart in this printout too. It is below the alphabet "p" of the url (httP://...). :)

To me, this piece of printout is priceless.

11th July 2007, Shenzhen

Breakfast at the tallest rotating restaurant in China which located on the 49th floor of International Trade Center, Shenzhen.
There is a wide variety of dim sum. While eating dim sum, you can enjoy the views.
Deng Xiaoping was there in 1992, Redsponge was there in 2007 too. :)

We went to shopping after that. Found a coffee house which attracted me very much. I love coffee so much, and you can imagine how much I miss coffee after drinking tea for 2 to 3 days continuously. We headed in and relaxed.

The next destination was Spendid China & Chinese Folk Culture Village.
Well, the 2 parks are linked together.

At Splendid China, you will see the miniature of the famous places in China.

At Chinese Folk Culture Village, you just get to see the culture in China. ;p

Example: You will see lazy cow / buffalo? Oops...cow or buffalo? 傻傻分不清楚! haha

Pretty donkey

Next...

Kekeke...Hercules..;p I urged ccw to try the game with the following reasons:
1. The tiny old uncle (50-60 years old) can score a very high point.
2. I used to think ccw is powerful.

But the results turned out to be: ccw lost to the old uncle. 'x'!

Horse show.
A nice show! You get to see how they played tricks on the horse back.

At night, we had dinner at seafood street.
We chose this restaurant.
We can eat a lot. :)

When walking along the street, we noticed the big lychees (ccw's big palm can only hold up to 3 lychees). We bought some to try and they were juicy and sweet.

投名状 @ The Warlords

27th Hong Kong Film Awards was held on 13th April 2008. The Warlords was the big winner. I actually watched this movie already but haven't post anything after watching as I only managed to watch 40% of it due to the cruelty and bloody scenes that forced me to cover up my eyes most of the time.

Basically, the combination of Andy Lau + Jet Li in a movie is just NOT RIGHT to me. I love Andy Lau, but I hate Jet Li in movie. Movie starred by Jet Li is definitely violent one. However, in life, I support his 1 foundation project. =)

Before watching the movie, ccw told me how much Jet Li got paid in this movie, it is RMB100 million and broke the record as the highest earning actor in a chinese-language film. Indirectly, ccw was trying to hint me that Jet Li would be the main actor but not Andy Lau.

The movie is about wars and war is cruel, cruEL, CRUEL! The cruelest part in the movie that I can remember is when Qing Yun (Jet Li) decided to execute all the captured soldiers in Suzhou after the Suzhou ruler surrended to Er Hu (Andy Lau) with one condition which is to free all the soldiers in the city.

The situation that time was both Qing Yun's troop and Suzhou people were suffering as both had no food supplies as the war last for a year long.

Er Hu thought he should get into Suzhou to negotiate with the ruler While the ruler had already decided to surrender as he was not willing to see his people continued suffering.

Er Hu was moved by the Suzhou ruler and agreed that he would set Suzhou soldiers free.

However, Qing Yun did not agree with Er Hu. Reason 1: they themselves were facing shortage of food supplies. Reason 2: There is always the risk where Suzhou soldiers might attack them one day.

And, the Suzhou soldiers were trapped in an opening area and killed by the arrows shot by tearing Qing's troop. If it were the Qing's troop to surrender, the position of both side soldiers would have changed where Qing's troop would be the one being killed. Cruel or not?!

Lives, why are they so worthless during the war time?

外人乱我兄弟者,视投名状,必杀之。
兄弟乱我兄弟者,视投名状,必杀之。

Because of the promise made, Er Hu lived the remaining days in his life haunted by Suzhou souls.

Heart aches.

Mickey Mouse Standing jibbitz

Mickey Mouse Standing

First purchase:
I bought this Mickey Mouse jibbitz in Hongkong last year but then I lost it before coming back to Kuching. It should be somewhere in Zhuhai.

After that, I tried to look for it at places with the helps from others including:
1. Papercrazy who helped to look out in KL.
2. CCW tried to search for it in Singapore.
3. Sold out at Online shop - http://www1.jibbitz.com/

But the searching was to no avail.

Second purchase:
We went back to the shop in Hongkong this year and bought it. Sadly, it is lost the next day in Shenzhen. Worse of all, I lost another heart shape jibbitz few days later in Macau. As to compare to ccw who had both his Mickey Mouse's face (second purchase too) and glove lost during the trip, I am luckier. HAHA!

Third purchase:
We saw Crocs shop at Gurney Mall, Penang. Surprisingly, we found the Mickey Mouse there! And before I ever lose it again, I told ccw to take photo of it first. I wont make the fourth purchase if I ever lose it again.

My pair of crocs are happy again.

Say bye to the followings:

Hong Kong Flower Show 2008

I happened to visit Hong Kong Flower Show 2008 when I travelled there in March together with pil and ccw. Since I do not know when I will finish posting the honeymoon trip and KK trip last year, I decided to post up the colourful photos from the Flower Show first, before the flowers wither.

My nose...is...well, BIG but cute (ppl used to replace "ugly" with "cute")

This morning, I suddenly decided to compile my photos to see what is the difference in me before and after pregnant.

I have the feeling that my face is very very round which make everyone smiles big when they see me.

After compiling a few photos (including photos taken in July, October, December last year and April this year), I sent it out to 4 persons: pink cotton, 13th panda, or2ng3s and ccw.

So, I got the feedback from them:
pink cotton: Can I laugh? <-- I dont know, she loves to laugh at me. Look at my yoohoo box, she just put there "hehehehe" yesterday.

or2ng3s: So, is there any different? <-- Playing on the safe side.

13th panda: The nose is bigger! <-- She keeps saying my nose is bigger ever since cny this year and with that she believes that I am having a baby boy.

ccw: Your face is rounder. <-- Yeap, he is the first one who notice my face is rounder after pregnant.

While everyone is looking at my bigger nose, pink cotton sent in a hilarious email:
Can I say sth?

The shape like mickey mouse head wo

ROFL!

What a discovery!

Now, let me share my mickey mouse nose with you all.

p/s: Please do not laugh out too loud.

Papa's 71st Birthday Celebration

Last Sunday, we celebrated papa's 71st birthday together with some close relatives.

Papa was already in birthday mood few days before as he received gifts from my aunts and uncles and cousin. He has 6 new shirts now =).

My bro#2 and iamdoryfish flew back on Friday.

Mama, sil, iamdoryfish and I bought him a watch :) He found the receipt outside the toilet and showed it to me! Haha...Duh...dunno who dropped it! He then passed it to mama and told her to buy 4D number. The naughty him then told my eldest bro that he found his watch receipt, my bro was still blur blur, then papa said:"Neh, the watch that cost RMxxx." *faint*

My parents-in-law pre-ordered the longevity peach (shou tau) for me (as a married daughter) to present to my papa.
Kekekee...It is so not ME! 'x'! I wonder what my parents think about it, but first thinking they have must be how to store or keep them! LOL.

On Sunday morning, we had the sweet longevity noodles + egg with soup. Only when I am typing this part that I realise there is no photo taken. ;p

That evening, we had dinner at 悦上海 @ Lok Thian Restaurant. I did not take photos for the food, I was very hungry. Once I reached the restaurant, I was busy feeding myself with peanuts.

Papa got 2 birthday cakes. The birthday cake that we prepared for papa...

The birthday cake bought by cousin Fong.

It is prettier than the one we bought right? lol

Glad that papa enjoyed his 71st birthday. :)

三国之见龙卸甲 @ Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of The Dragon

The official website: http://www.resurrectionofthedragon.com/

Watched it together with kc, cph, winnie and ccw last Friday.

The movie is about the legendary general Zao Zilong (starred by Andy Lau). But there are differences between the movie and the history. You can find them from wikipedia.

In the last scene where Zao Zilong was going to attend the last war in his life:
Zao Zilong:"What we fight for all these years?"
He continued:"I fight for a peaceful home." *paused* "But, I do not have a real home yet."

I saw his sorrow, loneliness and heartbroken. Love that scene the most!

Yes, I am as tired as him after watching the movie.

World Peace!

The 19th week

We delayed a week to visit the doctor as we went travelling with my parents in law during the 17th and 18th weeks.

As usual, doctor checked on my blood pressure and put me onto the scale. Blood pressure is normal which I got a "GOOD" remark from the doctor. I put on 0.8kg which is now 60.5kg, to my surprise that the doctor did not say a word about it. ^_^ That night before I went to the clinic, I actually told ccw that I might have to keep fit again after the visit.

Next, it's the doctor's turn to show us how's Cola doing through the ultrasound scan.

*excited*

This time, Cola is not in the position like what we used to see during the previous scan which made both ccw and I abit worried what had happen. But then when doctor started to explain to us what we saw, we felt more relief.

The first part that doctor showed us is the head, its diameter is about 4cm++, sorry, I did not listen carefully as I was still trying to figure out where is the rest of the body of Cola in the monitor.

Doctor continued scanning and showing us the legs which are stretching quite straight. Doctor measured the length and told us to look at the bones form at the thigh. :)

Amazing, isn't it?

Next, doctor showed us Cola's stomach. He told us where are the lung and liver. I can hardly believe that we can see so many things from the ultrasound.

Then, doctor asked whether we want to know the gender of the baby or not. We kept silence as we thought he is going to show us the genitals. But, the doctor thought that our silence means that we do not want to know. He continued saying:"Well, maybe you guys only want to know after delivery." Then, ccw quickly expressed that we would like to know at this stage. Doctor told us that Cola is a boy. But when ccw asked how he know, he smiled and said he will teach us next time. HMPH~ He showed us Cola's buttock. Cola's too shy, the thighs are closed tightly. So, we did not get to see the birdie. It is ok, because the buttock itself is cute, wahahahaha, feel like to "piak" it already! Oops!

Ccw then told me, maybe the doctor did not find any uterus and thus he knows the gender. I suspected that the doctor saw the birdie when showing us the legs earlier on but did not tell us. Anyway, we decided to treat Cola as a boy until the next scan. LOL.

Lastly, doctor told us that Cola weighs about 317gm and is 15.4cm. With that, doctor awards me with another "GOOD" remark.

The feeling of getting a "GOOD" remark from the doctor is exactly the same like when getting an "A+" in the school works marked by the school teachers.

p/s: The doctor is so cheerful throughout the whole session. I love to visit him so much.

p/p/s: We found that Cola is no more swimming, he is so quiet last night. We searched online and found this from http://www.pregnancy.org/pregnancy/fetaldevelopment2.php#week19: "Your baby has the same awake and sleep patterns of a newborn. He has a favorite position for sleep and recognizable active and rest periods."

p/s: I can hardly believe that I am carrying 317gm inside my tummy. Can you imagine that?
