move to new blog

So this will officially mark my last post on this blog. Apparently we have used all the free space we are allowed for pictures without paying a monthly fee, so I have decided to just start a new blog. From here on out you will find us at redhottacos.blogspot.com. Hopefully this makes the move easy, just a slight change in the address. This format tends to be more of a journaling thing for our life anyway and I know there aren't too many of you who follow us regularly, but we welcome you to join us on our new site!

Prom 2012

Last year we had a DI/1980s Prom. This year we decided to do a 1945 "The War is Over" theme. We had a BLAST! We did a murder mystery dinner before hand and then the dance at the church afterward. And yes, I put my hair in curlers and it was awesome! Can't wait till next year!

FYI

The pictures from the first post should be working now! And as per a question in our comments...my personal favorite place was Cozumel. The ATV ride along the deserted beach and in the jungle was my absolute favorite, however, the other two places were both amazing and fun. I think Scott's answer would be snorkeling in Belize.

Best vacation EVER! Part 2

 Cool Cemetery in Roatan
A scene that reminded Scott of his mission. The dogs everywhere and the little boy running around.

 Sunset in Roatan
BELIZE

This gorgeous little island is Goff's Caye (pronounce key by the natives). We went snorkeling here.
Scott trying to be artistic with his pictures.

COZUMEL   We gave a Spanish Book of Mormon to this lady from whom we bought a few things.
Picking up the ATVs for our ride through the jungle and along the deserted beach!

A mayan ruin that stood until hurricane Rita in 2005. It was used as a cleansing place for those coming to worship some godess whose name I don't remember. It was also used as a warning signal for hurricanes. There were conch shells built into the ceiling and when the wind blew hard enough they would blow. It blew its last signal in 2005.
 Lavanda del mar. Sea Lavender.
Sunset off the coast of Mexico.

Hanukkah celebration with some friends we made on the ship. We had dinner with them every night. They were great. In exchange for sharing their faith with us we shared a Book of Mormon with them. Good people.

Our table of friends.

Best Vacation EVER! Part 1

So for our 10th Anniversary we thought we'd celebrate with a cruise. Yes, it was back in August but we got a great deal for one in December. We went out of Galveston, TX and hit Roatan Honduras, Belize City Belize, and Cozumel Mexico. It was amazing and incredibly relaxing! Thanks again to my mom and brother and his family for coming to stay with the kids. I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.

Dinner the first night.
rock climbing on the boat
Free throw tourney...with some strong winds and a rocky boat.
Scott took third place. An old man in a wheel chair who got out just to shoot free throws beat him...Ha ha!
Sunrise on the second full day.

ROATAN!

Zipline in Roatan.

Baptism

December 1st. What a great way to start the Christmas season!

What a beautiful girl! I don't know what else to say, besides that we are so proud of her! She is a good example to her little brothers, and we love her for it! All I can ask is that she continue to learn and grow and do her best to follow the Savior.

Happy Birthday Park!

Can you believe this kid is 6!?! We can't, and yet he is! Park chose to go to "Jump On It" as a family and then he got McDonalds for dinner, top that off with an icecream cake and a Halo lego set. No he hasn't ever played it, doesn't even know what it is, but I got a good deal on it and it's legos! What more could a six-year-old want?
Park, what a sweet and fun loving boy you are! We love you so much and are so glad you are part of our family!
