Lots of fun!

Well, here is the end product of the garden. Not too shabby for our first time around in this EXTREMELY clay ground. Annicka eats all of the peas and every morning she asks to go out and get more. We've gotten 10 or 12 cucumbers so far, with plenty more on the way. And we are waiting for our canteloupes to ripen. The tomatos are smalls but very tasty. Infact I made some fresh tomato and basil bruschetta with our spaghetti dinner we had tonight...I finally figured out what it is about tomatos that I can't stand...it's the skins. I skinned the tomatos that I made the bruschetta with and it was really good. I still can't eat tomatos by themselves though.
Park's favorite thing to do right now is scream. He loves it if you scream back and he'll go forever if you'll keep doing it too.

Well? Which one is which? Annicka was probably about a year old or so when we took this one below. And Park is nine months right now. In fact this pic (above) was taken tonight with our spaghetti dinner. It's not very often that I let him make a mess like this and spaghetti is so much fun. Annicka wouldn't hear of not taking a bath with Park and in consequence Park came out cleaner than he went in, but I think Annie came out dirtier than she went in.

Back to work.

Well, Scott went back to work today. I don't think Annicka remembered that he had to do that anymore. I've started taking my General Ed class for health and PE and so I have to work out four times a week. So I decided that jumping on the trampoline with my daughter counts. After fifteen minutes I was HOT and so we turned on the sprinklers. Man, did we have a blast! That is definitely a workout that I will be repeating.

Apparently Park has found his way into the Tupperware cupboard. I found these on the camera just now. He sure looks awfully small inside there. And yes, his tongue is almost always sticking out.

Vacation?

Well, this week Scott took the whole week off. The main purpose was that it was our 5th anniversary yesterday and he decided, why not just take the whole week? So, here is our mid-vacation update. Monday we took a hike up to Donut falls up Big Cottonwood Canyon.
We didn't realize it until half-way up, but Annicka and Scott were dressed very similarly. Scott even had a butterfly on his shirt too.
Annicka did amazing for her first hike. It was 1 1/2 miles round trip and she walked the whole way there and part of the way back! She is now an official hiker. Later that night we went to my dad's house for dinner and FHE. Annicka had a great time and is still talking about Grandpa being silly, and how playing with Seth was, "really fun, huh!"
Yesterday Scott and I got to go to a Bed & Breakfast for the night...so we obviously won't be posting any pictures from that. THANK YOU Maureen for coming to stay with the kids on a moments notice! Today we have been relaxing and water restrictions out here were finally lifted and so we had the kids outside and Annicka was swimming in the pool.
Park really wanted some cereal, but the plastic baggie was getting in the way.

LAGOON

Well, this last Saturday we went to Lagoon. It was a first for both the kids and Scott.
This is the first ride that Annicka rode. As you can see, she did fine sitting there...until the ride started to move and then she freaked out. The poor kid had to be coaxed onto any other ride the rest of the night and she wouldn't go on one unless Scott or I was with her.
Mmmmmm...yummy icecream sandwiches.
The train was one of two rides that Annie absolutely loved! Her cousin Xidis loved it too. They had animals along the way like tigers and zebras and kangaroos.
The Merry-go-round was Annicka's other favorite ride. She rode it twice in a row. Park enjoyed it too.

Be Nice

Last night we were babysitting our next door neighbor's boys. They all love to play our Wii. Annicka likes to think she is playing too and so we let her play with the extra remote. Well, last night she was swinging it around and it started to bang into things and so I took it away. She got SOOOO upset. She normally does about anything and everything right now, I guess it's just part of her being a girl and two years old. Anyway, she went crying to daddy and said, "Mommy take it away!" Then she looked me straight in the eyes and through her tears and with a very stern voice said, "Mommy, be nice to Annicka!"

This morning Annicka was playing with Park in the living room. Scott and I were getting breakfast ready and we heard that same stern voice, "Park, what are you doing?"

Can you tell what often gets repeated to Annicka?
