Girls Weekend in San Diego...

Girls Weekend in San Diego+Keith Urban!

Brittney met me in San Diego and we had a fabulous weekend. No way better to start our weekend then by getting pedicures and shopping!
Saturday was layed back..shopping, laying by the pool...and then we went to see the  KEITH URBAN CONCERT!!!!
Man does he put on an amazing concert. We had PIT tickets again and LOVED it!
He makes me want to learn how to play the guitar...he is so talented.

We met some new friends, I guess...we got photo bombed...they did a pretty good job...they make it look they are with us...but we are happily married and didn't know they even did it until we looked at our camera.

Keith made our night...we walked out the wrong gate and had to walk around the whole complex to find our car. The road was kind of dark and no cars were going on it. As we walked we saw some employees tell them to open the gate because he was coming and to make sure the road was clear...so I told Brittney to hold on and we waited for like 10 seconds and a Black SUV comes rolling out and guess who has the window down and is waving at us...KEITH!!! He actually gave us the peace sign...he then rolled up the window...we were the last people he said bye too! Made our night! I know it sounds high schoolish..but whatever brings a smile to our faces! (and let me add we left the concert during his last song...he was in the car and out of there in less then 5 minutes...I am sure he didn't want to get stuck in the traffic...off to his private jet he went)

We spent the next day at the beach, relaxing, watching some surfing, seeing the temple, some famous sites, and the Mormon Battalion (Which was really cool...its interactive and very cool).

We were sad to see the weekend end so soon...until next time!

September moments...

September...lots of pictures of Ryder and Cooper...they are the ones who are doing naughty, funny and cute things. Brooklyn and Easton have started soccer so I will post pictures soon.

Poor Cooper got really sick...he slept next to the bathroom for a couple of nights...which also meant that mommy slept on the floor next to him.  (Update- We figured out that he had ecoli..poor kid) Diarrhea and stomach cramps for a week...it was rough.
Eric brought home the tractor...enough said.

I learned something...

Fillet Mignon...
Eric's boss gives us a big chunk of meat for Christmas...for the first 5 years Eric just cut it up and grilled it like steak. It was ok...but a couple of years ago I decided to cook it and I googled Fillet Mignon to see how to cook it. I discovered we were doing it ALL wrong. We were even cutting it wrong.  And it was the easiest thing to do...

There are many how to YouTube videos on how to trim them correctly. You actually cut off a lot of the chunk...some fat, some skin like stuff and then some meat...which you can save and make yummy stew with.

So if you ever buy Fillet Mignon in the big chunk like this...google it and learn how to cut it right...it makes such a huge difference. And you don't grill it. You cook it in the oven and for only a few minutes..it is so tender, yummy and so good!

Great Weekend With Family...

My parents came for Labor Day Weekend.  Bryce and Camie came as well. It will be a fun weekend.  Eric went to the airport to pick up my parents...such cute pictures.

Papa loves to golf...and these two are his golfing partners.
Cooper was all ready with his golf set...he loved going golfing with papa.
He had to put the tee down and then the ball on top. He picked it up so quickly.

Eric found a new toy to buy...oh man really? Yep...Papa encouraged him to buy it.

Bryce and Camie met up with us and we drove to the bay area to see the Redwoods, but after driving there it was too busy and no parking within miles, so we headed to the beach. We wanted to spend our first day at the beach (after living here for 8 years). The beaches in Northern California aren't sunny Southern California beaches...they are windy, foggy and cold. We checked the weather multiple times and it showed 60s and sunny. Well... we got to the coast and it was cold, windy and eventually started to rain.

We had to haul our stuff and wood pretty far from the car to the beach...that was a lot of work. We built a fire, had hot dogs and smores, kids played in the freezing water, and Ryder loved the sand. And we even flew kites...that was fun!

Clean-up was a lot of fun!!!!

Sunday we got to celebrate my parents birthdays and also Bryce's.
I made a yummy dinner and then two pies. It was a fun night.
