Weekend

This weekend hasn't been too exciting but I got plenty of time to rest. Earlier this week I thought my allergies were bothering me. But later I learned, it was a cold. Having a cold while your pregnant, isn't fun. (not that having a cold not pregnant is any better). My doctor said that Sudafed was all I could take, so that's what I have been on. I was able to make it to work every day except half a day on Friday. The meds were making me tired and they didn't seem to be working as well as I wanted. So I went home and SLEPT. I slept for a LONG time. When I woke up, I started feeling better. I'm thankful for that nap.

Later that evening I went to my friend Steph's boutique and bought really adorable things for a baby shower. It was so nice to see Steph and her family. I feel like it's been forever since I've seen them. I would have stayed longer but I still had a sniffle and didn't want to give anyone else the sniffles. I went home, ate dinner, then went to bed. (it was awesome).

Saturday I slept in (which was awesome) then went to a Ririe Woodbury concert. Our friends Cherie and Dennis won tickets so they took us with them. It was a cute show. It was directed toward children. It was about Circles. After the show, Hutch and I tried to look at wallpaper. We've learned that we are the only people in the world who are looking for wallpaper. Apparently The Home Depot doesn't sell wallpaper anymore. We tried Wallpaper Warehouse, but they were closed. I guess we'll have to start decorating Perrin's room on another day.

Wednesday and Thursday were nice evenings. I had a bad attitude about it at first because I was tired and starting my cold but the sister missionaries called and asked if I would go visit people with them. I'm not sure why they called me, I had never met them before so who knows. On Wednesday we visited three boys who are going to be baptized. On Thursday we went on splits. One of the sisters and I visited a lady in my ward who is from the Ukraine and is supposed to get baptized on the 6th. She's not completely sure because she's having a hard time with coffee. She really believes the gospel and wants to be baptized but is having that hardship. After talking with her she said she's going to keep trying to give it up. I really hope she accomplishes that.

So I guess this weekend has been pretty good. Plenty of rest time, which I love.

p.s. Oh! And I watched the Miss America pageant and I'm happy for who won. She did a great job!

You're Not Invisible

I've learned time and time again that friends are amazing and they have psychic abilities. Friends seem to know when you need to hear something. When you haven't said anything to anyone about how your feeling or going through, they somehow manage to feel it too and will give you comfort without even meaning to. I'm kind of going through that now and my dear friend Cherie sent this video clip this morning. I really needed it.

Not Bragging But...

I totally kicked Hutch's trash at bowling on Saturday! I don't think I have ever beaten him at a game of bowling or if I have, it hasn't been by this much. I bowled a 146! I'm pretty proud of myself. Yes, I'm bowling for two but it's still awesome! :)
Love you Hutch!!

Something Blue!!

Hutch and I are excited to announce that we are having a
BOY!!
We found out today and couldn't be happier! Hutch says he now has a video game buddy. We've decided to name him Perrin Brent Jorgensen. After picking that name we realized his initials are PBJ...PB&J!! Heehee!!

Heavenly Father has blessed us so much with our little boy and we are excited for everything that comes with it.

Beautiful Song!! I really like Susan Boyle. Her story and courage is very inspirational. I don't have her knew CD yet but this song is on it. It's very beautiful!! It's called "Who I Was Born to Be". I now want the sheet music. :) Hope you enjoy. I hope this performance puts a smile on your face.

Big Love, No Love

Last night watching The Golden Globes I was greatly upset about Jane Lynch losing her deserved Golden Globe for her work on Glee to Chloe (whatever her last name is) for her work on Big Love. It's not the people completely but the shows. I'm sick and tired of Big Love and their "former mormon expert" saying the information they are sharing on the show is true. It's NOT! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a different religion from the FLDS church. Just because you hired someone who is a former LDS member doesn't mean they know anything about the FLDS church (as we have seen in their episodes). The show probably wouldn't bother me as much as it does if they actually were using information about the FLDS church. But instead they are saying that the LDS church beliefs and what they do are the same as the FLDS church, which they are NOT.

If you are watching this show please stop. If you feel the same way I do, please blog about it, write the studio, pass the word around that they are two different religions. I don't mean to offend anyone but my beliefs are very special to me and I don't like to see them exploited and in a negative light.

On a side note, Jane Lynch is a wonderful actress, she deserves to be recognized after all of these years of making us laugh. Here's hoping she gets an Emmy this year!!

Having a Day?

If you are "having a day" may I suggest something to help you through your day and it may put a smile on your face? Yogurt with granola. What a wonderful invention! No, this is not the first time I've tried it but today has been a bit of "a day" and the past few weeks have been crazy and I decided to have some yogurt with granola for my afternoon snack and it was a great decision. Maybe one of the best decisions I've made today. :)

For those of you who are disappointed that yogurt with granola was the suggested idea for putting a smile on your face, here is something else to help.
So if the yogurt doesn't help, here's a great picture for you. If neither help, I'm sorry, I've run out of ideas.

Idiots

Steph, they aren't just at your work. I yelled at one that works in my office and hung up on him too. When do they go into hiding?

Boy or Girl?

My next doctor's appointment is Thursday, January 21. At the appointment we'll be finding out if we're having a boy or a girl. Really Exciting!! I've put a poll in the side of my blog. Please put your guess. You're welcome to reply to this to let me know what you voted for!! (because I'd love to know!)

First Project of the Year

Hutch and I have a list of things we'd like to do to our house over this year. Hutch was able to complete one of those projects on the first day of the year. I think we're off to a good start. Our kitchen faucet has been causing us some problems so we got a new one. Here is the sink after Hutch took out the old faucet. He had some issues getting it out since it was very old. Here is the old faucet. I didn't get a picture before it was taken apart.
Here is Hutch figuring out how to put together the new faucet. And here is the new faucet and the completed project! Isn't it beautiful!!?!! We absolutely love it! Please pardon the dirty dishes in the sink.
Thanks Hutch for your hard work in putting this in. I love you!!

New Favorite

I now have a new favorite thanks to my sister Becky. On Saturday we went out shopping to the mall. After the mall we decided to go grocery shopping. Instead of going to our usual Harmons (which I still love) we went to Winco instead. It's a new grocery store off of 7200 South 700 West. Usually when I go grocery shopping I spend over $100. At Winco I spent just over $50!! I loved it!! There produce wasn't the best, but I still loved the store!! I enjoy getting things at discounted prices.
