Update on Me
On the 23rd my mom, dad, Stephanie, Hutch, Duncan and myself went to a Bees game. I kept calling it a Buzz game but was corrected that they are now called the Bees. The Bees lost but we did have a good time. It got boring for Duncan (and myself a bit too) but he enjoyed watching the bee mascot dance around. After the game was over they shot off fireworks so we all enjoyed that. That night was also "Michael Jackson" night which meant they played clips of his songs through the whole night and the announcer dressed like a circus master version of Michael. Steph's not a fan of Michael Jackson so she was a bit disappointed that I hadn't told her it was Michael Jackson night. Oops!
Friday was a really nice relaxing day. Hutch and I stayed in bed and watched the Days of 47 Parade. After that we got take out from EJo (Korean) and ate at the salon with Tifany, Hutch's sister. She was really bored so we brought lunch and we had fun chatting. After that Hutch and I went home and were lazy the rest of the day. It was fabulous! We were invited to 3 BBQ's that night (thanks for the invites!) but we stayed home and were lazy. We sat around and watched movies. It was really nice to have a relaxing day like that.
Saturday I went to water aerobics and Deb worked us HARD! It was a really good workout. Then Hutch and I went shopping for cheese. A friend was having a cheese party that night and our country was Switzerland so we went to Pirate O's and got some skeegy cheeses. (translated, smelly cheese). That night we ate so much cheese. It was really yummy though. We all tried new cheeses and drinks. After we stuffed ourself with cheese (and we didn't even eat all that was brought - there was a lot) we watched "Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog" but we watched the "Commentary the musical" version. That was A LOT of fun too!
Wednesday my besty, Stephanie, asked me to go to a soccer game at Rio Tinto. It was the All-Star game. The team from England won by one kick. Stephanie and I had a lot of fun "acting" like we didn't know what was going on. We did, however, enjoy the really attractive funny guy sitting behind us. And Steph was excited that a few of the players did take their shirts off after the game. That was the whole reason she went.
My mom had surgery on her foot yesterday and is doing well. She's home but stuck to her bed. She's starting to get pretty bored. My sis and I are going to take lunch to her tomorrow and we'll visit and watch a movie. My mom hasn't seen "Ironman" yet, (I KNOW!! Crazy!!) so we will probably be watching that as well. I figure Becky and I are crazy enough (especially when we're together) that we will be hours of entertainment for my mom.
I had some pictures and video to go with this blog but haven't downloaded them. You'll just have to use your imagination. :)

Why I love Dancing!
This powerful dance is about Breast Cancer. Try to watch it and not tear up. I love that dancing can say so much without using words. This is a very special number. Makes me want to become a better dancer.

Ghostbusters
- "Shh!! Do you smell something?"
- "You're right. No human being would stack books like that."
- "This reminds me of the time you tried to drill a hole in your head." "It would have work if you hadn't tried to stop me."
- "Do you have any hobbies?" "I collect spores, mold and fungus."
- "I was just exercising. I tape 20 minute workouts on my machine and play them back at high speed, so it only took 10 minutes. I got a great workout."
- "There's something very important I forgot to tell you." "What?" "Don't cross the streams." "Why?" "It would be bad." "I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean bad?" "Try to imagine al life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light." "Total plotonic reversal." "That's bad. Ok, importanty safety tip, thanks Egon."
- "Your girlfriend lives right in the center of spook central." "She's not my girlfriend. I find her interesting because she's a client and she sleeps above her covers. Four feet abover her covers. She barks, she drools, she claws..." "It's not the girl, Peter. It's the building."
- "Hey, wait a minute. Hey, hey, hey, hey! Hold it! Now, are we actually gonna go before a federal judge and tell him that some moldy Babylonian god is going to drop in on Centeral Park West, and start tearing up the city?" "Sumerian, not Babylonian." "Yeah, big difference. No offence guys, but I've gotta get my own lawyer."
- "Hey, were do these stairs go?" "They go up."
- "Gozer the Gozerian...good evening. As a duly designated representative of the City, County and State of New York, I order you to cease any and all supernatural activity and return forthwith to your place of origin or to the nearest convenient parrallel dimension." "That oughta do it. Thanks very much, Ray."
- "What about the nice lady who paid us in advance before she turned into a dog."
- "Oh! The superintendant is going to be pissed."
- "I love this town!!"

Harry Potter 6
Also, Tom Felton is a great actor. He plays Draco Malfoy. He doesn't have very many lines in this film but you can visually see his distress and the decisions he's trying to make. I really feel bad for Draco. Kudos to Tom!! I'll wait to say more until more of you have seen it.

My Weekend
After that Hutch and I went to our hotel. We decided to spend the weekend at the Hilton downtown. We were on the 11th floor with a great view west. On Friday we slept in. It was nice. We got ready for the day and around noon we walked down to the Church History Museum. Hutch hadn't been there since he was a little kid so he enjoyed seeing everything they had.
After the museum we walked to the Gateway. I bought us tickets to a movie that afternoon. We arrived to the Gateway a bit early so we got an Orange Julius and walked around. We went to Game Stop and looked around then we went to Bath and Body Works where I bought some soap. Then we bought some popcorn and water and went to the theater. We saw "Public Enemies". Johnny Depp can do no wrong. We both really enjoyed the movie. The atmosphere...well, that's a different story. The people who sat around us smelled like they hadn't showered in years. They also smelled like they each smoked 20 packs of cigarettes before they walked in. The smell of the cigarettes was so bad, that I coughed throughout the movie. I tried to be quiet about it. Then the guy sitting a person away from me, farted (loudly) about every 10-15 minutes through the movie. There was a guy sitting near Hutch that talked to the screen the whole time. He'd comment on what is going on and talk back to the actors. It was really annoying. I've decided that the number one reason I want to be famous is so I can have private screenings of movies. Or if I was at least rich, I'd buy out an entire theater so I can enjoy the movie.
After the movie experience, we went back to the hotel to change our clothes for dinner. We walked to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and had dinner at The Roof. It was really yummy. When I made the reservation I said that we were celebrating our anniversary so they gave us a table next to the window with a perfect view of the temple. I didn't take really any pictures this weekend but this picture I took with my cell phone of our view. There was a screen down so we didn't get too hot.
It's not the best picture but it shows our view a bit. They also put a sign on the table that said "Happy Anniversary". We, of course, overate. But we enjoyed it. We then headed back to our hotel. We ordered a movie to our room which was "Sunshine Cleaners" it's a dark comedy. I enjoyed it.
The next morning we had to check out of our room at 6 a.m. Yes, 6 a.m.! Reason being, Hutch had a tee-time with my dad, brother, uncles and cousins at 7 a.m. in Bountiful and I was meeting my mom and sister at 7 a.m. to go the Murray parade. I was tired. Duncan was in the parade with his karate group so we had to get there early to drop him off at the start point. We then parked near the Murray park and found a spot to watch the parade. We sat in front of Mimi's. It was a nice shady spot with not too many people there. There was a family sitting in front of us. The parade started and we enjoyed ourself...for a few minutes. Then the rudest people I have ever seen joined us. They had put some chairs out early next to the family who was in front of us. But instead of staying at those chairs, they crowded around us. They talked really loud the entire time. It was like they didn't notice we existed. Their kids were running in the road trying to get all of the candy (bytheway, I'm against candy in parades. But that's for another blog). Their kids were standing infront of the family that was in front of us and getting the candy so that family's kids couldn't get very much. They would yell for their kids to stay out of the middle. They sit where they were (around us) and yell "Jack! Jack! Jack! Jack Jack Jack!" over and over again. I wanted to turn to them and say "Get off your butt and move your kid" but I didn't. The way my family was sitting was my sister, my mom, the twins' chairs then me. One of the ladies in the group kept stepping over the twins chairs. I couldn't believe it. Is it really that hard to walk two steps around us? Then one of the little girls (who wasn't being watched by any parent) was walking around and taking candy from everyone else. The family that was sitting in front of us put their candy in a pile on their blanket. This little girl kept walking all over their blanket and then would take their candy. (this family was also annoyed because one of these rude people balled up one of their (the nice family) blankets and tossed it on their other blankets so the rude people could have more room). We put the twin's candy in my purse to keep it safe and this little girl kept trying to get her hand in my purse to get the candy. AND NO PARENT WAS WATCHING HER. The group finally decided to leave the party early, much to the loud dismay of the kids. But while they were gathering up their kids, they decided to strap them into their strollers right in front of us and block the parade from our view. I don't know how people that rude can exist. I would have thought someone would have beaten them long ago. So thank you rude people for ruining what could have been a nice parade experience. Duncan still looked cute in the parade and he had a lot of fun.
After the parade we met up with the guys and went to brunch at Golden Corral. The rest of the afternoon is a bit of a blur because I napped for the majority of it. That evening we went to my aunt and uncles house for a bbq. It was a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed visiting with my cousin Justin for awhile. We haven't seen each other in a while so it was fun to laugh with him. I talked him into auditioning for "Curtains" at Hale Theater too. (Casey and I are auditioning too).
So on the whole it was a nice, enjoyable, fun weekend. There were two times of rude people but I didn't want to let it ruin my whole weekend.
