The Bank of Canada have just unveiled its the new hundred dollar bill today to the public and it features a "metallic holographic stripe" for added security. Its also have a "watermarked portrait and a see-through number" on the brown bill. I was at the mall where they had a new sample for showing. No joke, it was real, a brand new crispy $100 smackeroos. I touched it ! The stand (and the money) was watched closely by a security guard. It was quite interesting that they would have a stand in the middle of the mall to promote the new bill, with samples of the real thing ! Too bad that they didn't have any to hand out. ;)
