It's ALIIIIVVVVEEEEE!!!!

Mom requested that I resurrect my blog in order to have another media vehicle (FUN FACT: "media vehicle" is actually one of the more complex terms in the ad major. we spent a whole class period on it. it's not a very difficult curriculum.) with which to know what I am up to. And I will tell you what I am up to! Nothing.

Except, as should be surprising to NO ONE, living with roommates stinks. My apartment is way nice this year and I really like it. And, thank goodness, I finally got clean roommates! Or I got one extremely clean roommate which means I'm not fighting an uphill battle all the time. So, anyway, I can't complain too too much. Okay, I can complain. And I will! Right now! All but one roommate is pretty neat, and I brought her with me so I shouldn't complain. But I will! So I clean up the kitchen and straighten up almost every day. And then as soon as I clean up, a one woman tornado comes home and everything is trashed. It was pretty funny, on tuesday I cleaned up and literally as soon as I threw out the last dirty towel, she walked in the door with a kitchenaid mixer and I knew it was all for naught.

Feel my frustration in the following video:

So here is my plan to keep the apartment clean every week.

MONDAY:
Ariel freaks out and scrubs everything in sight before FHE every monday...except the floors. So Monday I will mop the lovely linoleum floors in the kitchen, hallway, and bathroom.

TUESDAY:
Clean toilet and shower. Gross.

WEDNESDAY:
Clean sink, counters, and mirror. Also gross.

THURSDAY:
Vacuum! Living room and bedroom, occasionally do the upstairs and stairs....if I'm not too lazy.... :)

FRIDAY:
Clean kitchen countertops and stovetop, etc. Wipe down furniture.

Now let's see if I can actually do this. I think I can, since I clean up every day anyway. Only thing is that it is pretty much impossible to keep clean when no one picks up their danged crap! I pretty much do the kitchen everyday since apparently no one believes in wiping up their spills or washing dishes. Or maybe their mothers just really loved using chisels.

This year's christmas card picture...this one is for posterity!

So. I was at the Nitro Circus movie shoot yesterday and we had to take some photos. This one required a fan, and I was given the job. I joked that I would do it "only if I can say I fanned Travis Pastrana". They said they would even take a picture of it, and they did. I was laughing, thus the goofy face. But still the greatest picture ever.

That there's sum real gud parkin

I think all people with cars in Condo Row need to watch this video and learn. Condo Row is the home of the crappy parallel park. My favorite is watching people maneuver about 30 times and still end up on the curb. There is a car right now that has both of its right side tires in the huge rain gutters.

**props to my friend Kevin for showing me :) does that make you happy kev? eh?

Dream job realized.

I've decided I want to work for American Girl. Those who know me well know that I have been a HUGE American Girl fan from a young, young age. I was very upset when mom made me cancel my long-standing subscription to the American Girl magazine at age 15. I was still getting magazines addressed to Reba Kan Field. So I signed up for a job/internship alert on the American Girl website. I said that I was interested in Advertising jobs and they send me email alerts from time to time. Today I got an email for the following job opening:

"Intern-Undergraduate - Mattel Brands Barbie Design"

Yes, it means exactly what it says. Barbie doll and fashion design. HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE????!?!?!!!!? I don't know why they sent it to me, considering it has nothing to do with Advertising. maybe it's fate.

Can he also burst into flames?

Rachel, don't you see the resemblance????? But Forrest is WAY cuter. Sorry for posting your picture, Rachel, but I thought it was pretty uncanny.

I have lots of other things that I could post about but I can't remember now slash don't care enough to try to remember. Except for one thing. I went to the SDSU game and it was AWESOME. SO much fun. I've never gotten so into a game. I waited a few hours in the cold just to get in, but it was worth it. Here's a photo of me and my friend Jonathan with Cosmo after the game at the victory bell. My flash didn't go off so it's not a good pic, but still fun.
