Spring cleaning, blog style!

So I'm attempting to catch up in the blogging world. I'll make a post later about byu and all but I don't have time right now. But here's a post that I never finished from the end of August about my mysterious disappearance to Kentucky. So I finally finished it and posted it because everyone is just so interested in my elusive trip that didn't tell anyone about for fear of being made fun of, haha. So below this are some pictures and stuff about. NOW GO READ IT.

Oh, and one thing I forgot to add in my Kentucky post, KFC is indeed better in Kentucky. IT WAS SO GOOD. They even have buffets. Incredible.

Be patient. Remember, China didn't got build in a day.

Guess where I wasn't this past week! I wasn't in Utah! I wasn't even in the western half of the united states, OR the midwest!! Ahhh...the eastern half of the US is an amazing place. I was in Kentucky visiting this:

Pretty good lookin', eh? Don't be shocked, I didn't really tell anyone I was going. Anyway I was out there from last Tuesday to yesterday (ok, current revision, it was the last week of August) and it was so much fun. I loved Kentucky and I wasn't in JUST Kentucky, I was in the straight up boondocks. For all of you that met Evan, if you think his accent is ridiculous, you should meet some of the other people down there. I finally figured out a lot of their accents after a day or so, ha ha. But anyway, it was so fun to go visit down there, his family was so nice, and it was so pretty. It was definitely a cultural experience, haha. I am sad to be back in utah, because this state is the single most desolate and horribly ugly and brown place ever, especially compared to Kentucky, but alas. So here are some pictures from my trip. OH, and the title of my post is what I got in a fortune cookie in Kentucky. "Be patient. Remember, China didn't got build in a day". Seriously, Kentucky? Could that have been any more grammatically INcorrect? NOW, here are the pictures!

This is in Mammoth Cave, it was a lot like Howe Caverns.

Hog'n The Road Barbeque, there's nothing like a trailer parked on the side of the road with two guys in cut off shirts and mullets grilling! This is one of his brother in law's chicken houses. This is just half of the house. It was crazy, they have 90,000 chickens and they all go to McDonalds haha. And apparently chicken farming makes a lot of money. And couldn't you see dad being a chicken farmer??
Evan's town has this well that spits up nasty sulfur water. It's disgusting. But I drank it anyway. P.S. that's his little sister Kendra in the background.

Just a little fishing! I wouldn't hold the fish so Evan held it and took the picture, ha.

I now understand what is meant by the term "bible belt". Stuff like this was everywhere, it was crazy religious. And I literally mean crazy.

And there we both are. In front of a tractor.

So all in all, it was a really great trip and tons of fun. Boy, I tell you what the truth!!!

p.s. Oh yeah, and if you were wondering, Evan's face is indeed healed and he does indeed currently have a goatee. Also, you may have noticed that he looks completely different in every picture. I don't know why it is but he always looks different in every picture ever, and then he even looks way different in person than in any picture. I can't explain it, but whatever.

SURPRISE!

You know, I always thought that one of the male cheerleaders at the byu football games looked a little familiar, but since I was 40 rows up it was kinda hard to tell. But I saw the BYU cheer roster today and it confirmed my suspicions.

"BYU SPIRIT SQUAD 2009-10

Congratulations to the 2009-10 BYU Spirit Squad!

Coed Men
Skylark Drennan

Dimitri Schumacher
Nate Blackhurst
David Luke
KC Cook
Christopher Welcher
Matthew Field
Eric Heier
Aaron Marsh"

Matthew Field???!! I knew he had a double life! He's right up there after Skylark.

Matthew Field, Capital Community Bank CFO, President and Owner Mountain Peaks Motorsports, and Brigham Young University Cheer Squad Pepboy. I knew they didn't rename Tingey Hall in his honor for nothing. That boy sure can do it all. Go cougs.
