Do Small Things with Great Love Fall Card by Cherry Nelson

Hello RRR peeps, Cherry here today on the RRR blog. Have you been getting some crafty time in with everything going on?  I hope so!  It has been so hot lately, over 100 today and it has me thinking of cooler September days.

I love this color combination.

I created this card using the August Monthly Ribbon Club assortment, which I kinda have almost completely used up.  I love it so!  I also used flowers from the store along with some twine for a rustic touch.  I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

A Bucket Full of Sunshine

Hello, Friends!  Happy Friday! How about we start the weekend off with a bucket full of sunshine?  This 6x6 shaker card features the gorgeous Sunflower Satin Ribbon from the August ribbon Club Assortment.  I've paired it up with my "go to" Natural Burlap String.

Here's a great tip for using up those little "snippets" of ribbon: fold them in half, cut a banner end and tuck them under an element in your card design.  That's what I did under the little tag sentiment on this card.  It draws the eye to an element that might otherwise be overlooked!  I love finding ways to use bits and pieces, don't you?

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.

I can't think of a cheerier way to start the weekend, can you?  Wishing each of you a wonderful weekend with a little crafty time to play with ribbon.

Put a Spell on You

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today's card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon and My Makers Movement. I love designing Halloween cards, as they are so much fun.  I chose some super sweet flowers and ribbons from the RRR shop to use on my card for today. I will list all items below for easy finding, hope you enjoy!

So for my card today I chose to make a 6" x 6" card. Love this size as it s easy to do lots of layers, and if you know me, I LOVE layers. The design papers are from Pebbles " Tricks or Treats" paper stack. I just picked a few of my favorite designs, and layered them up, added sewing, and of course white gel dots. The darling Cauldron is from My Makers Movement, and is a shaker, love this! Its called "Witch , Please" stamp and Die set. Super cute! Next I chose my flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and added them using a hot glue gun. The large Carnation is from the Mixed Purple/Lilac set, and then the Lilac is Apple Blossoms, I also added Rose Buds using Mixed Peach/Orange, and then the Mixed Earth Tones.

Stitched Summer Tag

Hello, everyone, and thanks so much for stopping by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Today I'm sharing a sweet Summer tag that I created using a few FABULOUS products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  No matter what the project, Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trims.  And, they carry so much more than just ribbons.  Although, I will say that when it comes to ribbons and trims, they really have it ALL.

I started with cream cardstock and used a cross-stitch die to cut my tag.  I hand cross-stitched the cute little popsicle using various shades of pink and purple DMC floss.  I water colored (painted) some of the background using a pale pink paint, and I splattered (what a mess) some deep purple paint on that.  The reason why I added the paint is because the tag was just too plain without it.

Next, I added some lovely Miniature Pink Sweetheart Blossoms and some Miniature Mixed Purple and Lilac Sweetheart Blossoms to give the tag some texture and beauty.  I also cut a smaller tag, again using the cream cardstock; and I stamped the word HUGS on that in purple ink.  I touched the edges of that tag with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and added another Miniature Purple Sweetheart Blossom to the top of that smaller tag.

At the very top of my tag, I added a bow.  Why not, right?  Bows are SO pretty, and Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trim.  For this sweet bow, I used three different trims including a length of Baby Pink Seam Binding, Dusty Rose Wrinkle Ribbon and Sweet Grape Seam Binding.  There are also lots of great AdhesivesMulberry Flowers, Embellishments and SO much more.  Why not take a moment to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon and treat yourself to something pretty?  You'll be SO glad you did.

Thanks for visiting, and have a blessed week!

Halloween Memorydex Card

Hello friends and crafty Peeps! Ginny here to share my very first Memorydex card.  Yes I know all the cool kids have been making them for ages!  I'm not really one to get into all the crafty things but this one got me even after years of avoiding it lol.

I decided to start out with a Halloween theme as I knew I had plenty of ready made ephemera to pile on to make getting to the fun faster and easier.

I created a fabulous ruffle for this card with pretty sheer organza to add texture and dimension. I'm not the most expert seamstress but it really wasn't hard to add a running stitch to the ribbon and gather it up for fullness.

Being only 4 inches wide this card came together in a snap. I'll be making these all the time now and creating a great place to store my pictures and memories!

Please enjoy this process video.....

Bumblebee Upcycled Gift Box and Card

Hello RRR peeps!  Cherry here today to show a fun upcycle project.  I have always had a thing for bumblebees....and I adore yellow so I never tire of the combination of the two.  I had this Bert's Bees soap box that had cute embossed bees on it and decided to create a gift box with it.  Of course I had to create a matching card.

I used this month's RRR Ribbon Club Assortment, which was a perfect combination of ribbon for this project.

I added some pretty paper handmade flowers that I diecut and shaped.  I used stamens from the RRR store.

As always, thanks for visiting!   xoxo, cherry

Summer has been quiet - we have enjoyed the time together and a less hectic pace. Planted a container garden which has provided a lot of happiness. It is unfortunate that we had to cancel the "gathering of our clan for Thanks Giving" (, we do this normally every other year). But we plan to meet for early spring, if things improve. I hope the schools can implement a safe program and amount of students in a room. My husband and his bother are sad that it appears sports will be postponed for the local college - they enjoy the football and basket ball games. No vacation. Paper crafting has made this time more interesting and productive for me. Love the ribbons.

Now if you didn't win, don't worry!! We will be 'hopping' each month so you'll have another chance to win soon! We hope you stop by and visit our blog often.

Botanical Joy Fold Shaker Card Folio

Hello, Friends!  Have you had a chance to play with the Sunflower Assortment of Ribbons from the August Club yet?  These bright and bold ribbons are perfect for botanical themed cards and folios like this Joy Fold Shaker Card Folio.

I chose to use the 5/8" Forest Green Plaid, 3/8" Diamond Satin, 3/8" Yellow and Green Argyle Satin and the Random Lines Satin ribbon (which made me think of bamboo.)  These colors and patterns speak strongly of green grass, sunshine, trees and flowers.  And that's what this little joy fold folio is all about.

Forest Green Plaid Ribbon makes a great ribbon closure!  Simply adhere the ribbon with 1/2" Scor-Tape.

Tuck spots, pockets and flip pages make this folio lots of fun to open.  Nature inspired papers and ribbon make it beautiful to behold.

Top a bookmark with an assortment of 3'8" ribbons from the Club.

Tie a square knot to hold this Argyle print tag topper in place.

Here's a look at the folio fully opened.  Create a hidden pocket by adhering just the sides and bottom of the joy fold card to the base.  (Find a tutorial for this style of fancy fold card HERE.)

Score and fold a large ivory tag to create a unique photo insert for the hidden pocket.

I hope I've inspired you to get out your August Ribbon Club and make something beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday to you all! Cheryl here with a card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons and flowers that RRR carries. Hope you enjoy my post for today,

For this card, I chose to use a 6 x 6 card base, and layered it up using some scraps and card stock from my stash. The ribbon I chose is Satin Checkerboard Pearl Pink  and the White Satin to create my bows. Next I chose to use the 20mm Open Rose in White, and then the 15mm Open Rose in Pink. I also added the beautiful Rose Buds in a white and pink. The dies I used are from My Makers Movement, and it's called waterfall card kit.  I also used the Petite Sentiments stamp and die set.  I'm loving all the pink on this card. Lastly I did add some sewing, and distressing to my sentiment.

Our Hearts Are Huge

Welcome by today, everyone!  I'm glad you've found your way here to take quick peek at a FUN card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I know that I say this a lot, but I always LOVE playing with all the sweet products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Of course, they carry just about every variety of ribbon, lace, twine, and spooled trim; but they also carry SO many other wonderful things.  I think I loaded a lot of them onto today's card.

I used a variety of different patterned papers on my card from scrap pieces (or snippets as some like to call them) and pieced everything together securing them with strips of Scor-Tape to create my paper base.  I used a small chipboard frame and a sticker sentiment that I adorned with a Pale Pink Open Rose and a Royal Blue Open Rose.  I used additional stickers here and there, including the heart-shaped one that's hanging from a Rusty Pear-Shaped Safety Pin.

At the top left, you'll find another floral sticker that's backed with 3-D Foam Squares and has several Double Head Stamens tucked above and below it.  I love how the Double Head Stamens poke out and provide a fun spray of color.  I also tucked some bundled Pink Burlap String underneath that same floral sticker, and there are a few snippets from a Red Berry Bead Cluster tucked into this sweet blossom.
I did some machine stitching, and I added some cute May Arts ribbon tabs to the side of my card including a piece of 1.5" Black Gingham.  I took this flat side view photo because I just adore all those beautiful layers of paper, ribbon and all things pretty.  If there's anything I forgot to mention that you're curious about, just leave me a comment and I'll let you know what I used.
There are SO many great products at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and you're always sure to find something perfect for your next project.  We hope you'll visit us often.

Blessings,
Karen

Let's Celebrate Greeting Card

Hello friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a greeting card I created with beautiful trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

We've just wrapped up Christmas in July at Polly's Paper Studio and I was sooooooo ready to break out some non-holiday colors! I adore navy and peach together don't you?

By using the darker colored cardstock as a border between the busy patterns I was able to break up the busy patterns.  That beautiful stitched satin ribbon coordinates perfectly!
Why not add a garden full of gorgeous flowers to dress up your greeting cards? These are from Really Reasonable Ribbon as well and I just love how much fun they were to layer. A few details like the buttons and metal charm finish this card off in style!
