"No extremo sul da Ilha vivem 250 pessoas na comunidade isolada constituída de famílias de pescadores do Bonete. Local sem luz elétrica, mas aconchegante para quem curte acampar, tomar banho de cachoeira,nadar e surfar na praia com ondas de mais de 1 metro. Esta trilha foi outrora uma estrada, cujo acesso máximo fica na Ponta da Sepituba, onde há um estacionamento para automóveis. Dali são 15 km até o Bonete, passando por diversas cachoeiras e regatos.Apesar de bem marcada a trilha exige boa forma física para encarar subidas e terreno acidentado durante as quatro a cinco horas de pecurso".ilhabela.com.br

Who else impressed you in the event(Boost Mobile PRo)?


K -I think Joel was probably the main point throughout the whole event, heat to heat. He had nines in almost every heat, same as Japan, and CJ looked consistently good too. He didn’t have any great heats but he was consistent and he looked aggressive. Cory had the move of the event. Big air 360! Raoni Montero impressed me, I think he’s the best Brazilian guy on tour in a long shot and he’s got the real deal. He’s got a really good and strong technique, and he’s fast and really aggressive. I was saying on the web cast he reminded me of Pottz because he just goes for it. He’s not holding back ,so its probably going to cost him a few heats before he figures that out, but he’s gonna start to come back and combo a few people on the way. I think he’s got a good future, and definitely a chance at the top 10 surfers and, if he gets his game plan together, he’s probably a top 5 surfer.


Could he be a world champ?

K I don’t know. That is yet to be seen. He’s really got to step away from the pack to achieve that I think. I think you have to really let the outside influences in. Just bring all that in, and I don’t think he will have any problems. He can get a whole continent’s support behind him, and if he can just keep surfing and keep going…we’ll see.
