It was Parker's birthday last Thursday. I can't believe he is 11! I remember being 11... WOW! We woke up to a terrible snow storm that morning. I sent him off to school only to have them close school an hour after it started. So he had an unexpected gift of being able to stay home on his birthday.
For his birthday gift we got him a drum set. We are still in an apartment so we keep it above the bus garage. Anyway, that was his only gift so I wanted to make it extra special for him, I decided to take him on a treasure hunt. I had him go all around the apartment, then all around the apartment complex and finally out to the car. When we got to the car we blindfolded him and drove him all around town and then took him to the bus garage where we had his drum set all ready to go. I was so busy video typing I never got a still photo of his reaction, but needless to say, he was super excited! After that we braved the storm and drove to Marshall for a birthday dinner at Applebee's. We all had such a good time together. It was really low key, but we sure made some great memories. I am so happy to be Parker's mom. He is a great son! Happy Birthday Parker, we love you!

Parker's B-Day Breakfast (Cinnamon Rolls).

I saw this on my friend Michelle's blog (decorating their door on their b-day) Parker loved it! He wants to make it a birthday tradition, I think that is a GREAT idea.

On his way to see his new drumset.
