I love The Pioneer Woman!!!

My sister introduced me to this website a few months ago, I didn't think much of it until last week. I needed something different for a Branch party and she had just what I was looking for.... Chile Con Queso, Revved up. It was delicious, and super easy to make. Well, my sister also mention (just causally) that her love story was pretty good and if I had a chance to read it it would be fun. Well, this weekend I clicked on it thinking it would be a page or two long....no way. This was a whole book, I read one page and the next and then the next. I spent most of Saturday and Sunday reading this awesome love story. Anyway, if you get a chance, it is totally worth the read. She also has great recipes. I just tried the twice baked potatoes... super good!

Valentines 2008

We had a great day yesterday. Last Monday for FHE we made Valentine pouches. During the week we put a little love note in each box and read them on Saturday morning. We had heart shaped doughnuts, from the famous Carl's Bakery, and exchanged Valentine gifts.


I made Rory a candy bar tree and a little scrapbook with 10 things that I loved about him.



Rory gave me a dozen purple and white roses. I love purple roses!!! There is just something about purple that makes me so happy! It was funny, when Rory walked into the apartment with the roses Max go so upset, he even threw his sippy cup at Rory. It was pretty funny. We could never figure out why he was so upset.


We also made these butterflies for Max's little friends. They were so simple to make, this is where I found the pattern.

So anyway, we had a great day yesterday. It was fun to have a little Valentines celebration at home.

I'm in Love!

I love these love blocks! I ordered them for Valentines Day from Wonderfully Wordy. I love this site, she always has the best stuff for decorating for holidays or just everyday.
