Another one down! I am so excited to have finished the Twin Cities Marathon. I finished at 4:46. I was hoping for a bit faster, but had a brush with the flu two days before the race. I was happy just to be able to run it. It killed me to think all of the training I did over the summer to go to waste. The race was incredible! I could not believe the course. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! The crowds were amazing. Most marathons are closed to spectators at some point of the race, but not this one. All 26 miles were lined with spectators. It was fantastic! At about mile 20 I always tell myself that this is the stupid thing ever, and I will never do another, but here I am finishing my 7th marathon. Its pretty addicting for me. I hope to do the Chicago marathon next time... anyone want to run it with me??

Finisher medal and shirt.

Mile 23 trying to get Rory to run with me ;P.

Walking back to the truck after the race...I am so happy to be done!!

Rise and Shout the Gophers Are Out!

A couple of weeks ago Rory and I attended the Minnesota Gophers game. It was GREAT! It was their first game in their new stadium. When we arrived on campus it was a sea of gold and maroon. I have never seen anything like it. I tried to take picture but couldn't capture how cool it was, I did my best though. Anyway, I am so glad I got to go with Rory. Every time we would go up to the Cities, while the stadium was being built, we had to swing by the stadium to see the progress. Originally, I bought the tickets for Rory and his Dad to go to the game, but I mixed up the dates and his Dad already had something planned that day. So Rory and I went together. We had a great time. I love going to games with Rory. He makes friends with everyone around him. Anyway, it was so fun and the stadium is beautiful. I can't wait to go to more games with him and maybe next year we will take the kiddies' . ;P

Utah Trip Highlights 2009

Our trip to Utah was amazing. We had such a great time. I love going back to see everyone. While we were there Parker and I attended the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house with Roger and Kelli's family. It was amazing! I am so happy that Parker was able to see the inside of the temple. When we got to the celestial room Parker said "I think angles stay here". I'm so glad that Parker could feel how special this place was, even with thousands of people walking though the temple you could still feel how special this temple is.

While we were there we celebrated Max 2nd birthday. We has a blast! Max is into Blue's Clues (I know it is off the air but we found an old video of Parkers and it had been Blue's Clues ever since). Anyway, while looking on the computer back home, in Minnesota, I found this Blue's Clues birthday cake online. I clicked on it and it took me to this blog Layers of Love. To my surprise she lived in Utah and baked cakes out of her home. I got in touch with her and she made Max's birthday cake. I had to go to Layton to pick it up, but it was totally worth it. When she took the cake out of the car I couldn't believe it! It was beyond pefect... just like Cake Boss! She started talking to me and I literally have no idea what she said to me, I was just so in love with my.... Max's birthday cake :P. I don't have words to describe how much I loved this cake. All I can say is I {heart} this cake. Anyway, the birthday was fun and amazing. Thanks to Manuel my sisters husband for taking all the best birthday pictures ever!

One of the things I miss most about living close to family are all the cousins. Max and Parker have the best cousins ever. They came over almost everyday. They just played and laughed with each other all day. One of my favorite things about my nephews are how protective they are with Max, especially C.J. He followed Max around like it was his job to protect him. When we went over to their house C.J. introduced all his friends to Max and said. "This is my friend Max, he is just a baby." I loved it! When they were going home one night C.J. said to me,"wonder if we growed Max?" I said, "you want to raise him?" he said yes! I thought that was so cute!

On the last day of our trip me and my sister-in- law Kelli ran the Provo half marathon. It was a perfect day! I was so glad Kelli decided to do it. She worked really hard, I think she only decided to run it three weeks before the race, I know....she was amazing!! I'm so glad we were able to run this together.

Well, like I said before, our trip was amazing. We look forward to it every year! Thanks to everyone for making it so fun. I love and miss everyone so much! See you all next year! (Maybe sooner.... who knows). :P

P.S. I forgot about this picture. My little Rock Star!
