Sunday we had a get together at my Dad's (no longer my house) for his birthday.
Early in the week we got a call that my Uncle Steve, my Dad's brother, and his family would be in town. It just happened to be his birthday, too. So I had a friend make a cake. It turned out great and tasted great!
My Dad is always talking about buying a motorcycle. I'm always saying, "No, way" Well he talked the guys into letting him ride their bikes.
I told Steve to follow him and make sure nothing happens.
I think he had a blast riding again.
Well we had a great time visiting with family.
It made for a great day!
What's it like to be "Rayna for a day"? Children, husband, family- Just everyday life! See it through a 20 or 30 somethings' eyes (I'll never tell)! Full-time; wife, mother, homemaker, taxi driver and the list goes on!

From Little League To Big League
Saturday was a very busy and eventful day. It started off early with Mateo's baseball game. If you don't remember he plays for the Giants; they played the Yankees. It was a great game! Mateo had two amazing hits and 2 rbi's. If you ask me, I say one of those hits almost went over the fence! He was made MVP of the game by his coaches and team mates.
To add to the excitement of the day, we headed off to San Francisco to enjoy a Major League Giants baseball game. We usually try to go once a year. This time was probably one of the best games we've been to because Mateo's school band got to play the National Anthem on the field. (that's Barry Zito in corner)
It was so cool to see our son on the field. I mean how many kids/people get the opportunity to be on a Major League Field! Here he is with trumpet in hand talking to his friend right after they played.
We then enjoyed watching the Giants beat the Cardinals. If you've never seen the view from the Giants stadium, it's GORGEOUS!
It was well worth the wait.
The wait! We had made these plans to head out early to try and get on the field for batting practice. We've (kids) really wanted to try and get some signatures from the ball players. Well when we get there, three hours early, we find a line 5-6 blocks long, at each gate!
It was a promotional night, bobblehead night. I couldn't believe how many people stood in line for bobble heads.
Well if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!
All in all it was an amazing and exhausting day!

First Playdate
Christina had a friend over the other day and I just had to take pictures. It was so cute to watch them do their "Girl Things". I couldn't believe how they were staying busy. They started off by playing dress-up and of course you need make-up. Then it was time for a tea party.
I then had to make a tent for them to play in. I forgot to take a pic of that.
They then decided to play in the backyard. They played with chalk, scooters and ball. Next thing I know I hear water. I went out to see what they were doing and they were watering the flowers. Okay, that's fine but then I heard little pitter, patter! This is what I found...little girls in dresses, playing in the water!
I let them play for a little bit but then had them lay out in the sun and dry off.
Aah, fun with your best girlfriend!

Work, Work, Work
With a new house (or any house) there's plenty of work to get done. Today Hubby came home early and went straight to work, yard work that is. We have been in our new house a little over a week and the grass (or should I say weeds) was beginning to take over.
I was a little under the weather and chose to veg on the couch. I decided to see how things were going and this is what I found.
My In-Laws had shown up and were helping with the yard work. How nice! We were sure to thank them and said we'll except them same time next week!
Check out all their hard work. That's over-grown weeds!
It's all coming along nicely! Next will be the work on the garden!

New Outfit For Tina
I almost forgot this cute new outfit my Grandma sent Tina. You wouldn't believe how much she loves it. After two days I had to tell her, "It's time to wash the new outfit"! Thanks, Granny!
Latest Happenings
So much has been going on but I haven't had much time to be on the computer. I also couldn't find my camera cord...found it! So I'll give you some quick updates.
BASEBALL:
Here are some shots from Mateo's last game. This year is starting off great. He's really enjoying himself and that's all that matters!
MOVING:
As soon as we got the keys we headed over to the house and starting cleaning. Here are some shots from that. I told the kids that this was their house, too and we all had to do our part to clean. They were more than happy to help!
This is what every corner in my house looks like, boxes, boxes, BOXES!
EASTER:
We moved in to our house Easter weekend. So Sunday morning Tina went on a egg hunt in our new backyard. Unfortunately, her Easter dress was packed.
So that's the latest, I'll try to do better at keeping up.
