Hell if I know where
Probably on a very small island
and I mean very small
Okay, so I promised that I'll update when I set up my livejournal. Yeah. And because I'm the lazy person that you all know and love *cough cough*, I have procrastinated on updating everything. From people to the sites, whatever.
So here they are:
ravenxeve.livejournal.com OR
rxe_lyn.livejournal.comravenxeve: has written stuff, less updated, but no friend-locked entries. (free for all)
rxe_lyn: has friend-locked and private posts which is the point of me moving. because there are some things which I don't want like the entire world to read and stuff like that. Yeah.
moving for no real reason,
evelyn
also on a very small island
[this format was sort of inspired by the shoebox project. don't ask me why. but it sure is a damn old fic.]

☆ BILL'S RECOVERY!
:) That definitely brightens up my day. It can pretty well brighten up my whole freaking week. And I'm pretty sure my happiness and relief can generate enough energy to power a small country. Haha, I exaggerate. But really, he went through the operation today successfully, and the doctor said that he'll be fine. Currently, he's still resting at home. And the sweetest thing is Tomi cooking for him, waiting on him, not exactly hand and foot, but still, joy. It's also seriously funny that Tom's the only one yakking his head off because Bill's in no position to speak. In fact, it was so bad, Tom's yakking, that Bill actually wrote, 'Shut your fuckin' mouth' with eyeliner. D: Dead, Bill, you totally killed me. Seriously man, ILY so much. And yes, I have like become an utter rabid fangirl. My life's complete now.
☆ Tsubasa RESERVoir Chronicles
I know, it's pretty old and all already, but I stumbled onto pretty pretty pretty KuroxFai fanart and icons which are so damn pretty. But still, I don't really like Sakura... But I love Fai, he's the perfect ebil, scheming uke. And Kuro's the grumpiest seme to grace the anime world.
☆ Livejournal
Okay, I got both my accounts at livejournal settled. Yes, it's finalized, I'm shifting to LJ officially on my new account because LJ is fucked in the sense that it has stopped all set up of basic accounts, forcing us to choose between plus and paid accounts. So, ravenxeve which is a basic account will remain untouched, while rxe_lyn is my new plus account. Yeah, I'll need people to relink me and all. More details later. :)
☆ Portfolio
Yay, I got my portfolio done for the CAP thing. :) It feels nice to have a portfolio, like some professional writer which I'm not, haha. Yeah, it's entirely in poems because I frankly have never finished a prose piece on my own. I'm always too ambitious and lazy.
☆ Sweeney Todd soundtrack
Yeah, just downloaded this recently. The songs are just so great, and I don't think I can pick out my favourites due to the awesomeness of this soundtrack.
☆ The Light-Bearer's Daughter by O.R.Melling
Just borrowed it from the library, I haven't exactly read it yet, but I know I'm going to love it. I mean, a story about the Fae folk incorporated in contemporary times, how can't I not love it? Her previous two books were brilliant as well, so I have high hopes for this third story in the series.

Bad Day Indeed
[ 21:59 ]
... Fridays are supposed to be the most enjoyable day out of the working week because tomorrow's the freaking weekend. But really, today was really a shitty day.
Almost all the teachers scolded us today. First, it was Ms Ng for our crappy tutorials, and yes, I'm guilty of not doing my work too and all that. Then she mentioned that many of our teachers are pissed off with our attitude towards homework or something for they have complained to her about us. Yeah, anyway, we got scolded again during econs, by the lecturer though this time it wasn't exactly directed at us specifically. And finally lit, which I failed by just a margin. Well, Ms Chan scolded us too, and all that. Damn, now I have to do a retest for her... which means more work.
Then we had a long and tiring pe in which I just ran and ran and ran some more, losing track of just how many rounds did I exactly run... anyway, the sun was so bloody hot! By the end of my 2 years in AJ, I'll be too tanned to recognize! Damn it.
And unluckily, just as I was heading back for piano lesson, it began to rain. Heavily. So my teacher cancelled my lesson and yeah, I was late already. Why the fuck couldn't it rain earlier so that I didn't need to freaking run in the scorching sun?!

Pish-Posh, Homework.
[ 00:13 ]
I am a total fail at life, or rather school work.
Can you believe that I just started to do my homework that is due tomorrow?
What was I doing all these while? Well, it's a sort of don't ask, don't tell thing because seriously, there should be a limit to how much I can procrastinate except that I just surprised myself with my procrastinating skillz. Yeah. Lack of sleep makes me lame. I am not looking forward to tomorrow or today, since school's in about 6 hours from now.
In other news, my livejournal has gotten a new skin, ohhh, so that was what I spend my time doing... okay, I'm going to search out for my bed now, homework be damned. What's the worst that can happen?
I am so goddamn irresponsible. Yeah. :)

Please Don't Drift Away from Me

How much do you think it costs to send a post card over to Germany?
Th_Cult over at LJ had this suggestion that we all send post cards to Bill, wishing him a speedy recovery. The poor boy! He apparently needs to undergo vocal cord surgery; there was a cyst on his vocal cords. If the surgery fails, he probably won't be able to sing ever again, which is devastating for a singer, I know I would be damn miserable.
Yeah... I want him to get well soon! Not that I'm exactly affected, but all of their concerts were cancelled, which meant that several areas were hit, almost half of North America, and Europe. So, the whole post card thing was like, 'Hey, since you couldn't come over to see us, we'll just sort of go to you then.' but really, I think Bill will be so touched by the post cards, it's just sweet and very well meaning.
Anyway, corny title comes from the English version of 1000 Meere. Yeah, I so prefer the original version.
In other news, I may just be flunking my first Literature test. Hooray, NOT. Blah, I didn't study, I know, my fault, but... seriously it's upon 50, and the passing grade is 40. How the hell am I expected to pass?!

Brief Update
[ 23:56 ]
It's been quite some thing since I blogged properly, but seriously, there isn't much to write about. I mean, it's just school, yeah. And I'm certainly past the age where I should be whining about homework and mean mean meannnnn teachers that give too much homework which I am STILL neglecting to do until the last possible minute.
Math lessons are like... so unchanged. I mean, I sit near the back of the class, the teacher drones on, I do my homework for other subjects in a frenzy because it's the next lesson and only look up from time to time or when my name is called. Familiar scene, no? I practically did this since sec 1 or something, haha. Some things just don't change, I guess.
Apparently, I'm also involved in a Track & Field event and NDP cheerleading stint in which I have to assume temporary insanity when I somehow coerced myself into joining. Seriously, I DIDN'T know just what the heck I was thinking when I signed up for these.
Life's still pretty normal, I get up, go to school, prepare to stay awake in classes and go home and slack before my laptop. Typical day at
Kranji Anderson. See, interchangable.
As for friends, well, that's also pretty normal, my classmates are pretty friendly, and you know me, very... indifferent anyway. I just don't always act the usual way that I am... just more reserved and polite. Yeah. To judge how I feel about someone, it's always easier to see how nicely or rudely I treat them.
Hmm, in other news, I'm sort of interested in taking up a translating post at Hochuuami, translating chinese manga to english. Okay, so I'm not exactly brilliant at chinese, but even at my standard, manga is like... still relatively easy... My main point is to try it out, working with other like minded people, *cough cough*. Never mind.

Week Ending 23 March
☆ The Hush Sound
The first song that I heard from this alternative rock band was Lighthouse from the album Like Vines and I immediately loved that song. It was sort of creepy in a way, the goosebumps rising up and shivers down your spine sort of an afterthought, and I'm glad to say that the rest of the songs on Like Vines are equally lovely. Not spine-chilling, but very mellow for some. It seems that everyone takes turns to sing lead vocals for different songs which is very unique, cos normal bands will only have a frontman to do lead vocals.
Good songs to check out: Wine Red, You are the Moon, Crawling Towards the Sun and Lions Roar
☆ Patrick Wolf
Okay, I may be a liiitle biased, because Patrick Wolf is a redhead and I'm partial to them. Haha, lame reason. Nah, he's good; as in his style is very original, and there's a whimsical, lilting feel to his songs. The fact that he can play like more than 5 instruments just make him even cooler, and his wide forehead is just so endearing when he tries to hide it with a floppy fringe.
☆ Coffee
Haha, so last week's I raved on tea, hence coffee for this week then. Other than Starbucks, I'm pretty fond of Spinelli's Caramel Latte. It's a good mixture of light creamy sweetness and a slight bitter aftertaste. As for Starbucks, I want to try Caramel Hazelnut Frappucinno or Iced Caramel Macchiato. Hmmm. Lol. My mother just bought this Japanese brand of coffee back, it's pretty damn expensive, $15 for just 80g... hmm, I can't wait to try it too.
☆ Darlie Lime Mint flavored toothpaste
Okay, weird, I know. But this toothpaste is tasty! Really! The lime flavor is actually very prominent and you end up having a very cool feeling inside your mouth. Very refreshing indeed. :) And it shows that how sad my life is when I actually blog about toothpastes, haha.
☆
Pirates versus NinjasThe age old question that is so much more important whether an egg or chick appeared first! Yes, who would win if a pirate and a ninja fought each other? Personally, I'm biased towards ninjas winning because they obviously have like 1337 skills and can definitely pwned pirates with their niffy sneak attacks. Haha.
☆ Loveless Volume 8
*starry eyed* Finally! And in English too! The plot thickens and this is really where I hate hate hate Aoyagi Seimei. That damned bastard dared to hurt Soubi, carving that fucking name into his skin. And I really got to hand it to Ritsuka; running into Seimei's arms, defending him when he's the villain. Damn. And we have vulnerable Soubi who dares not fight Seimei because that bastard's words are his law, they're absolutes.
☆ Denkou Sekka Boys
I finally completed the entire series, both the original and the sequels. And damn, could Asami Tohjou sensei draw! Her characters are always so cool and yet still so realistic. I love love love Ritsu and Kodoka. But I love Ritsu more. Anyway, glad to see that in the end, there was a happy ending after all.

Heartbroken
[ 22:34 ]

Please get well soon, Bill. *heart breaks* I can't stand the thought of him all alone in bed and suffering. It's really bad, laryngitis. I mean, I have never gotten it, but even a sore throat is agony, not to imagine something even worse. And bb is a singer after all, losing his voice is so much a harder blow.
Bill is very disheartened: "For a singer the worst thing that could happen is to stand in front of a sold out hall and to know that you can´t sing your songs and that thousands of fans will be disappointed."
It's really sad that he's ill and all, but Tomi, dear, it's not the time to care if the fans get mad for canceling the shows! Isn't Bill's health the more important issue at hand here?! And if there are such unreasonable and bitchy fans out there, they can fuck off. And find some other lame arse band to moon over.

picture taken from
andim Your heartbeat is pulsing at night in your chest
It's gold and it's glowing with all the life you have left
I received your words from hospitals where you felt alone
Your words like smoke, they made me sick but they kept me warm
Run where you'll be safe
Through the garden gates
To the shelter of magnolias
Your eyes are like sea glass, so weathered and worn
From all they've seen of adolescence torn
The lovers who have tainted you, they pulled you into the night
They touched your skin with velvet gloves and made you feel alive
Run where you'll be safe
Through the garden gates
To the shelter of magnolias
There's not much time
The blush in the sky begins to fade
You are weathered and worn
Your petals soft and torn
The fading color
You have bent your shoulders
To hold the weight of the world
You will surely shatter
Run where you'll be safe
Through the garden gates
To the shelter of magnolias
There's not much time
The blush in the sky begins to fade
magnolia; the hush sound
I love the Hush Sound. :) Greta's voice is just so lovely.
