Fun at the Park

Today was such a warm beautiful day but it's supposed to rain all weekend so we took advantage and went to the park by our house. It was Mason's first time and I think he had fun!

He's laughing on the inside here.

Of course Chase had to torture Boxer!

Mason got a new shirt. It says "Daddy's Caddy in training" so that means he'll be ready to go golfing with Chase next year!

Being silly with dad.

4 Months

He just keeps getting bigger! We went to the doctor yesterday for his check up and shots (boo!) and he weighs 14.8 lbs (50th percentile) and he's 26.5 inches long (95th percentile). He was a champ again with the shots. After the first one, he just scrunched up his face and started grunting but then the second one came making him scream! He didn't need me to comfort him, he was done screaming before I could pick him up. I'm so grateful that he is healthy and doing well!

This last month he has learned a few new things. One is that he blows his lips making a silly noise and making spit bubbles all over his chin! It's funny to me that one day he didn't do it and the next day he did and hasn't stopped since!

He now grabs anything that touches his hands. I was playing with Mason on the floor and Boxer came to join us. Boxer didn't know that he was too close for comfort and he got his ear and fur pulled a few times! Luckily Boxer is really calm and sweet and he didn't mind at all!

The other day I was blowing on Mason's belly while I was changing him and he grabbed my ear with one hand and my bangs with the other one! He also grabbed the doctor's stethoscope and jacket!

This new love of grabbing includes toys. He is more interested in his stuffed animals that make noise when he grabs them so we thought he might like this.

When we first put him in, he was smiling but he just kind of sat there. I thought it would still be fun for him (hey, it's a new view) but that he would probably appreciate it more as he gets older. I pushed one of the buttons that play music and I thought to myself that it would be too hard for him to push and as soon as I turned my back, he was playing music! He's now a pretty good jumper and he likes his new toy!

Mason's Day!

We went to Utah last week for spring break. We had a great visit and while we were there we blessed Mason. It was a wonderful day and I'm so glad our families were there to share it with us. Chase gave him a beautiful blessing. I'm so grateful to have Mason in our family. He has brought such joy and love to our home and I feel so lucky and blessed to be his mom. We had a short meeting singing I Am a Child of God and a talk from the Bishop and then we had a really nice lunch, thanks to everyone's help!

Of course we got some 4 generation pictures.

Mason, cousin Christy and Tara.

My brother Blake and Allison.

Mason was such a good sport all day even when he was hungry and tired! We just love him to pieces! I think he looks so adorable in his blessing/Easter outfit! Thanks Mom!
