He just keeps getting bigger! We went to the doctor yesterday for his check up and shots (boo!) and he weighs 14.8 lbs (50th percentile) and he's 26.5 inches long (95th percentile). He was a champ again with the shots. After the first one, he just scrunched up his face and started grunting but then the second one came making him scream! He didn't need me to comfort him, he was done screaming before I could pick him up. I'm so grateful that he is healthy and doing well!
This last month he has learned a few new things. One is that he blows his lips making a silly noise and making spit bubbles all over his chin! It's funny to me that one day he didn't do it and the next day he did and hasn't stopped since!
He now grabs anything that touches his hands. I was playing with Mason on the floor and Boxer came to join us. Boxer didn't know that he was too close for comfort and he got his ear and fur pulled a few times! Luckily Boxer is really calm and sweet and he didn't mind at all!
The other day I was blowing on Mason's belly while I was changing him and he grabbed my ear with one hand and my bangs with the other one! He also grabbed the doctor's stethoscope and jacket!
This new love of grabbing includes toys. He is more interested in his stuffed animals that make noise when he grabs them so we thought he might like this.
When we first put him in, he was smiling but he just kind of sat there. I thought it would still be fun for him (hey, it's a new view) but that he would probably appreciate it more as he gets older. I pushed one of the buttons that play music and I thought to myself that it would be too hard for him to push and as soon as I turned my back, he was playing music! He's now a pretty good jumper and he likes his new toy!
