Good Times TV fun

This is for Ashyln because she completely inspired me with her clip of Zoobilee Zoo.
These are shows that I totally loved as a child and really wished I could get on DVD for my children, because they just don't make them like they used to!
(Because I am not as Tech savy as others I am just making out the list and if you want to check them out I did find almost all of them on YouTube.)

Today's Special- This is a Canadian program featuring a Mouse, Manequin, sales lady and a puppet security guard.
Strawberry Shortcake (the original)
She-Ra- cool trivia is she was He-man's twin sister, not girlfriend
StarFairies- I actually due have the recording of these wonderful fairies created by HanahBarbara, but as a child i fried my toy landing her on the star, i.e. the living room lamp.
Small Wonder- loved this little robot
Kids Incorporated- never to early to start the love of music.
Popples- brother owned the toy
Captain Kangaroo- This was more my brothers show, but I did watch it alot with him. Same goes for
GI Joes
Rainbow Brite
I am sure there are a million others but this is what I came up with this morning.
Also I just have to point out because I saw the commercial yesterday on my B-day that this is the 25th Anniversary Year for the Cabbage Patch kids, yep that's right they were invented the year I was born. Great toy, as a kid I even got to go the Adoption Hospital in California to get my very own.

Happy B-Day to ME

HAPPY B-DAY to ME!!!
In honor of my Birthday- I know this is very vain, but hey that's what b-days are for- I am dedicating this to me :P

First off I wanna say THANK YOU to all those people who are much better than me and can remember a birthday on it's actual day and called or emailed or sent a card to wish me a great day. I feel very blessed to have you in my life!

Overall a very good day. Ryan and Quinn gave me all the InsideOut albums, I am pretty sure this is to keep me from talking about needing anymore. Then I had a fun visit with my healthy start lady, Erin. For dinner we went out to Blue Tangerine, Mediterrean food, with our great friends Mike, Christa, Nicole and Chad. I am so grateful to have them in my life to keep me semi-sane. Then the girls took me out for a chick-flick (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2) and chocolates.

Visit from Grumpy

Last week my Dad came to visit for a few days on his return trip home from Ohio, where he was helping/ visiting my sister. To the grandkids he is known as Grumpy.
It was so great to have him here and I am REALLY sad to have to had said goodbye.
But while he was here we got to have some really good times, starting every morning with a great breakfast outside.
Wednesday we climb to the top of Multonomah Falls; quite the hike, but we pormised in the spring to make it to the top next time. It was so pretty and we had a great time visiting and sharing ice cream at the end. Okay the truth is Grandpa shared with Quinn while mommy ate hers all by herself (and it was delicious). Unfortuntely all the pics of this are on my dad's camera so I am waiting for copies.
After that we drove up to Camus, WA where my parents are thinking of moving and visited the library and saw the sights.
Thursday it was Berry picking time. We picked around 12 pounds of blackberries that we have frozen or made into jam. Lots of fun, but very hot! Then a great ride to an Indian Restuarant in town. I love riding with my dad on his motorcycle. Coming home my sister-in-law Roopali got to join him.
Friday I finally got to see the Oregon Coast Aquarium. They have a fun exhibit called Oddwater. It is full of the most exotic creatures. Quinn had a gret time seeing all the fish. We ended the night with a meal at Mo's, famous for its chowder, and a trip to the candy store for some salt water taffy.Maybe when my pictures are working I will be able to give a better view. But trust me it was fun.

I can definitely say I am a daddy's girl and it made me so happy to be able to get some time with him and let him get to know my son better. When I see them together I see so many similarties. Bright, mischievious blue eyes, big grin and both love to stick their tongues out. What a great end to the summer.

On the Road Again

So I couldn't let this summer go by without going out and visiting Ryan's Aunt Sandy and Uncle Rod in good ol' Baker City. It is the first time I have actually gotten to go out and spend time with them there; usually they are the break point for our trips UT to OR. I loved it! Truthfully after seeing the great people and fun sites I could diffintely see me living there- unfortunately my Hubby is too much of a city boy for it. Quinn was such a good baby and it was so fun to see these Vets cooing over my little guy. While there we went birdwatching, enjoyed fun visits at the local coffee shop- Mad Maddie's, toured the shops on Main Street, and then went through their very well done Museum built in the old Natatorium (this means the old swimming club- learn a new word all the time).
Thanks Sandy and Rod for everything!

Boy Did Quinn Love his Uncle Rods face hair!

This little stinker had to make his mark on the church pew in the Museum, luckily his Aunt Sandy didn't mind helping out with all his little antics.

He knows where it counts.

This makes it look very fast paced, but it really wasn't. I loved going down every morning and hearing everyone visit and give lots of hugs. I am so glad they have such a great support group of friends there- what great people.

News update

Okay so my sister reminded me what a horrible poster I've been, I get so caught up in my adorable little boy I sometimes forget our stuff.
Ryan- He has been given a job as the Science Dept. for Wilsonville Art/Tech Highschool. I say the Dept. because that's it, just him. It is a charter school within the district that has 85 students. They have to apply to get in and follow a more European route by helping kids who pretty much already know what they want to do and works in a project based curriculum. He is very busy planning 13 different courses, but we are both VERY excited for the opportunity. The district is one of the best and has very good incentives. They do not have sports, so he can't coach, but with as busy as his first year will be we are okay with that. So when he does feel more stable he can always look at coaching league teams.
Me- I am pretty much waiting and watching. Waiting for my dad to come visit, waiting for September for me to go visit family on the East coast, waiting for fall and all the fun that brings (including Ryan's job with some $$), and waiting for my Kit to come in. Yes, that is right, I am now a Distributor for Slumber Parties. After two years of debating about I finally decided it would be a great thing for me to do to bring in extra $$ and help pay bills, but still get to be with my lil'guy. Speaking of whom I totally can't get enough of although he has started figuring out how to make verbal sounds and change his tone, he overall is still a really happy guy.
Now we are off for more adventures and to get the fourth book of the Twilight series "Breaking Dawn", which if you haven't read you definitely need to find the time to.
