Thankful

Today the gratitude goes to. . .

Head, Shoulder, Knees and Toes. I love My Body.
I am so thankful for this amazing thing. Sure there are some curves where I wish there wasn't, and I don't always feel top notch, but man I can say I am sure blessed because I get to be.That's it- just BE. It is so amazing how durable and changeable and totally amazing a body really is. To top it off I get the added benefit of being a woman. How cool is it that I have the amazing gift of being able to carry another little being inside of me until they are developed enough to join this world, and then I get to nourish them even longer after they join us.
It feels pain, joy, comfort, growth, sickness, health, and so much more I can't even describe. What are terrific creation this body really is.

Gratefulness

I am so Thankful for my. . .

Country, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
This is such a great counrty. It is so full of opportunites and blessings everyday. I am so grateful to be in country that allows you to vote and express your views and religious beliefs. You may not always get what you want, but it is a country made up of humans- so imperfections are the only guarantee. But with those imperfections also come so many great and amazing things, like humanity. We are so priviledged to be protected by brave men and women who are choosing to do so. They truly amaze me and I am so very proud to be related to so many honorable Veterans and soldiers.
Thank you to the Red, White and Blue!

Gratitude

Thats what the season is about-
A couple of years ago my sister-in-law did the days of gratitude and I really liked it, so I am going to copy her. But I decided to do 7 days. Not because there is not more that I am grateful for, but because I don't keep up my blog as well (as you can tell because I meant to post this yesterday :P)
So today is a double dipper

I am so grateful for my Faith. There are so many times in my life that I don't know what I would have done if I had not been raised with the knowledge that I am a Child of God. Included in my gratitude for my faith comes my gratitiude for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Many times, even when I wasn't attending regularly, the members have been there for me. In some of my scariest times they were there with only one question "What else can we do to help?" I have gained some of the best friedships in the world through this church and I am so thankful for the blessings it brings to my life. It is so good to know that above all it is the truth that Charity Never Faileth that will be the rule and I have Heavenly parents who love me and want what is best for me, they will let me make my own choices and be there for me no matter what.

Side by side with that comes my gratitude for my Family. I say side by side because I truly do believe that families can be together forever. They can drive you COMPLETELY insane sometimes, but no matter what you are connected. Sometimes I don't know what I would have done without my crazy cousins, siblings, parents, etc. They have been a support, companion, friend, and with my faith a foundation into who I am. A family truly is a living thing; family tree means so much more than a chart with lines. There are layers and roots and connecting branches in so many forms. And I am grateful for each season my family has given me.

Family Tradition

Ryan and I have made it a tradition to go to a corn maze every year since we got married. It was so fun to now have a third mate in on the party.
This last weekend we had an Autumn day all around. First we started off at the Portland Nursery and enjoyed tasting tons of different kinds of apples and even some delicious fresh pressed cider. Then we had a tasty lunch at Nick's Coney Island Dinner- Quinn had his first taste of fries, too bad he loved them so much he tried to eat one whole and was cut off. To end a great day off we headed out to Sauvie Island and breezed though the Corn Maze :) watched the pumpkin slingshot and then toured through the Barn yard to see all the cute animals.
Yum! Give me more Cider!

Becoming Apple Conosseuiers

Quinn's Not so into apple tasting.

Man what is my Mom sticking me in now?

We're Kings of the World!

Starting out in the Maze

Heading out.

Too bad, just one dollar short to give it a try- maybe next time.

Crazy Momma

I have been asked to post some more video of Quinn's adorable little laugh so here ya go. . .
By the way excuse the video, I know it is kind of like watching the Blair Witch Project but when you're dancing around trying to capture lil'guys giggles the camera tends to bobble :)

Okay yeah- only took me a month to figure how to get this up. What a crazy momma

For Julie

Julie here are just some of the videos- I love watching the guys all hanging out together in Virginia. Good cartwheels Sean :)
Also, you can tell Sean still has the touch a little teasing and he can get any baby to spit up. Gavin needs to come out and visit us sometime, I'm sure Quinn would love to teach him some tricks.

Hope you enjoy, sorry it took me awhile to get them downloaded.

Turtle Time Part 2 It is ALL about the tongue!

Ever since he was born I have been wanting him to be either a frog or turtle for Halloween, yep that's right I was planning his costume at birth that is what I am about. I originally I planned on having my very talented sister help me make a frog costume when I was visiting her this summer, but then this was shown to me and I couldn't resist (plus on advice fro my sister I couldn't make one this cute for the price) so I went ahead and splurged. Can't wait for Trick or Treating:)

Fruits, Flowers and Four Years

Today makes FOUR years and traditionally that means a gift of fruits and flowers. Yep that's right we have made it through to four years. I am sure all those who keep tabs on this blog know our story, but sometimes it is even hard for me to believe that such a whirlwind blind date could lead to four years together. Even better we have added our own little fruit to the garden (okay cheesy I know), but what a special way of celebrating our great years together.

My favorite season

I LOVE the Fall!

This is my favorite time of year.

And yesterday we went out with my sister-in-law and her three little ones to the Baggentos Farm and Pumpkin patch.

So much fun, ride the tractor to and from, lose yourself in a hay maze, meet the farm animals and feel the cool breeze move you into this colorful season.

As you can see it was a hit.

These pictures are compliments of Heather's amazing talents, she takes terrific pictures.
