What started off as a short and happy day ended up in disaster. School was short, and Mr Lee our GP tutor decieded to cancel his lessons since "half the class wasn't here." And we ended two periods early for the VJC Annual Track and Field Meet. I changed into the mascot suit (brown dinosaur, kinda had the jaw ripped a little but fixed it with masking tape afterwards) at 1415, and went blind for the rest of the meet since I didn't have space to put on my spectacles. Wasted, couldn't ogle at the girls during the cheerleading routines.
The first event was the mascot race. Draco (my House), Lynx, Ursa and Pegasus' mascots agreed to mob the Aquila (hehe Santosh, who didn't run and walked :P) and Phoenix mascots (Nicholas, track and field captain, he wore only a biker helmet and spiked running shoes while people like me were running barefoot with socks, otherwise the heat from the track would barbecue us) :P But the plan failed because everyone was charging. So I charged too and ended the race 5th... or 4th I can't remember. All I know was that the suit was super-hot and I was sweating all over. My singlet (need to wear less clothes in suit) was totally wet!
So Draco was overall last. From overall champion to overall last. Kinda sucky, but its because no one particiapted in events that could earn us house points. Anyway there's still next year... Heh. And I'm attached to the suit already. I don't mind being the mascot again next year if no one wants to be. :) I even did Whiney Whiney in the mascot suit! :)
When Sports Day ended, I went to Burger King @ Parkway with some of the Pegasus people (I'm from Draco) since Kendrick and Stephanie were around. Felt a little out-of-place, but who cares? Left at 2200 and reached home only to discover to my horror that I had mispalced my Maths File (and some other documents, I don't know what) in school. I took a bus and headed back to school, but couldn't find a single thing. I searched the dustbins, and everywhere I thought possible, but nothing. I then headed to Burger King but did not find anything either. I returned home worried. And that's about it.

Normal day. Still worried about Maths file but cannot do anything about it. Generally OK during training although I made a few strays. Listened to the AR Exco nominees make their speeches, too bad I cannot vote next Wednesday since I won't be around. maybe they'll let me vote externally.
Got the AR Jersey (it was pretty big, maybe I should have taken M) and changed into it. Went with the AR peeps to have lunch at the hawker centre at Marine Parade Central. Returned to Han's (behind NTUC) and saw that the AR people who went there hadn't left. Michelle joined in too (she quit AR... :( ) and then Michelle, Min Ning, Rhesa and myself went to Parkway Parade to stroll. Headed into Swensen's at 1528. The girls wantd to get some food but Rhesa and me didn't have money. In the end, none of us ordered, and just drank some water before leaving Swensen's. :P
Swensen's staff: "Thank you for coming!"
Us: "You're welcome."
LOL. Met some of Joel's friends doing street evangelism. Getting people to join a church huh... Maybe I need something to propel me to reach for what I want to achieve in life. What is that? *shrugs*
Left Parkway at 1630 and returned home to freshen up for dinner with my grandmother and cousins. I forgot to greet my grandmother... luckily she's kind and understanding woman. :) I did greet her in the end though, heh. Then they went to Parkway AGAIN... lol. I might get sick of that place...
Short post for today since I'm too lazy to do anything else. :)

Move on?
28/4/2005
Hmm. Thursday is uaually a long and sleepy day for me but I didn't feel THAT sleepy today. Maybe it's because it rained some bit... hehe. :) So the day went by. I missed copying some Geography notes (damn, I hate this! :( ) but yeah...
Tried on the dragon suit that I am supposed to wear for tomorrow's Sports Day. It's brown, damned hot, and I can't wear my glasses with that thing. Which means I'll probably be blind during the meet. And there's the mascot race, 100 metres... hopefully I don't finish last. MR Chow might just use his sarcasm on me again.
Zhen Iang told me earlier that the shortlist for those who made it into the second round of AR Exco nominations would be up today. And came up it did. 12 people were running for 7 posts, and two were eliminated from Round 1. Zhen Iang and myself. He wasn't too happy about it, neither was I, but I guess it had to happen since I didn't really know how to go about my interview. My bloody soft voice, indecisive answers and all. I guess I have to move on. I wonder if running for Exco in Physics Society is still open? Maybe I should try for Vice Chairman or something. Hehe. But AR takes up most of my time... and yet I'm not in exco. Perhaps I should just stay a happy person like Ali and Jerome, whom I think don't have other CCAs... At least I don't have to make a speech and face everyone's questions on Saturday. Hehe. I really wanted to be a Range Officer though. Let's see who gets that job.
Oh well. It was still sad though, but I know it's my fault and nothing else.
After training I went back to see the Draco cheerleading thing and to offer support and stuff. this girl, Joanna (?) fell while doing stunts (we're like n()()bs [newbies] compared to the other Houses, but I guess we're still cool!) and hit her head. Not good. Hopefully she'll be able to perform tomorrow and stay fine and genki ( -> Japanese for general wellness and fineness :P)and all. I hope I can fully get into the role of mascot tomorrow too (shit, how to act cute?) and drink lots of water and all (I don't wanna dehydrate!)... Wish me luck folks... Hehe.
Still need to think of PI too.
[note to self: water swirling in different directions, teach children about Earth's hemispheres?]
I left school at 2115 hours while the rest of Draco cheerleaders were still practising. Managed to catch half of Inuyasha (still slept through the first part... my body seems to give way at 2250) and Shaman King. But I missed yesterday's great battle between Yoh & Amidamaru and Tokagero... sadness. Hehe.
I guess that's it for now. :)

Simon and Garfunkel
Note that my title has totally nothing to do with my post. Who were those guys anyway? They sound familiar. Anyway, here's me, blogging about well... nothing much. Draggy day, flopped the interview for AR Exco (I basically answered the questions crappily and allowed myself to be shot down each and every time), now I'd be damned lucky if I got my post. Everyone else's interviews went fine, the seniors were laughing and making jokes and all... :( Gah. And I was the first to go on the line...
Flunked the Physics Lecture Test too. Despite not studying everything, I was pretty confident about it. But I took too long to complete the questions in front, and I missed out on the rear half the paper. Bloody freakin' hell. Hopefully I pass... If I fail Chow's probably NOT going to kill me, but it'll further worsen my image I guess. I'm so kiasu huh?
*sighs* So bored and sick of life and stuff. Sometimes it happens. And I shot well...average today. Scattered some shots on my white card (IMO, 7/20 shots were out) and blew a hole on my black one (a bit big for 20 shots, but I started re-sighting my rifle only on the 13th shot) which improved results a little.
That's about it.
News-wise, I am just lazy to comment on stuff even though I do think about them soemtimes. Well, just for kicks, the newspaper (The Straits Times) carried a report today that stated that the Taiwanese navy could hold off a Chinese naval/air attack for two weeks, and made it sound as if it was very important. What, two Kidd-class destroyers being the linchpin of the fleet? One Kidd-class shooting down 19 aircraft and 16 missiles before being sunk? The Americans and Taiwanese must have overestimated their strength. The Kidd-class is a pretty old piece of junk (the US built them 20 years ago according to the report) and I doubt even with modernisation, it could be that powerful. But then again this is a simulation. They probably projected some simulated Chinese battle procedures in. On the battlefield, however, things change. The actions of every individual shape the battlefield and may cause it to flow in a different way from that of the simulation. The report didn't state the parameters under which the simulation was conducted so I cannot comment further.
This concludes today's post. Tata!

Double Post! One of many multiple posts [DUH].
I actually wanted to blog yesterday but was too tired to do so (kinda fell asleep before blogging). There's so much stuff I want to talk about, but I guess they will remain as figments of my memories since I am too busy today to blog much.
Anyway yesterday was just liek a usual Monday, draggy and all. Although I started getting nervous 7 minutes before the Taiwan Immersion Programme interview. It was conducted entirely in Mandarin (I used some English phrases though), even the interviewers werr drinking Chinese tea. I quickly crapped my way through the interrogation. Hoepfully I might be able to get in, despite my not-so-good command of Chinese. I forgot how to write a gazillion words already. And in Taiwan, they use traditional Chinese characters...
Submitted the application form for AR Exco. Met Wee Siong afterwards and truly understood what a Range Officer has to do: Maintain safety, cleanliness, and prevent unauthorised personnel from entering the range. I missed the first two points when asked about my opinion of the job requirements in the form... but, what the hell, what's done is done.
Since Mom didn't cook dinner, I hda to go to the coffee shop nearby my house to eat dinner. Bumped into Miss Tham (Geography teacher) and another male teacher friend while they were eating. We chatted a little before going our separate ways. I had to rush home to attend the Annual General Meeting of my condominium, in place of my parents. This was an important meeting because they were discussing the possibility of en-bloc sale (but I want to live 10 minutes away from VJC! :( ). So I went in, and listened till Mom came home. To summarise it wall, I could tell that there was power play involved with the core of the "for en-bloc" group securing Council positions. As with other civilsied meeting between adults, there were tensions, but no tempers flared and everything was done nicely.
As for today, also another usual Tuesday. Trained and shot better than I did last week. Hopefully the way I'm doing things is correct... my shots are landing a little higher than normal though but that's because I re-zeroed my rifle sight to what it was before I started using it. :) Hopefully Li Zhe gets a weapon soon or something, lol. The settings thing is a little sensitive...
I have to redo the Preliminary Ideas (PI) for Project Work since my proposal was a little... far-fetched. This sucks. Lecture test tomorrow and I haven't studied. Interview for AR Exco tomorrow, I am first on the list too. :( *sniffs* Gotta mug for test now, ciao!
Side Note: A man with Gundam and Tsubasa Chronicle is a happy man! Whoopee!

Day, Another.
I was supposed to mug for Japanese test but I er... fell asleep I guess. As usual. So I woke up at around 0430 to mug a bit, then hurriedly finished the rest at JCS' (Japanese Cultural Society) centre at Midland House (?). I didn't really memorise the counters so I guessed my way through. The test was pretty easy I guess, and I finished it in 20 minutes even while doing it slowly. I checked once, but apparently I still amde some careless mistakes. I also forgot the difference between おおぜい (oozei) and たくさん (takusan), both of which mean "a lot" but, "oozei" is for people whereas "takusan" is for other stuff such as books. I knew she talked about it before but I forgot which was which. Apart from those mistakes I don't think there was any others. Should be able to pass... lol.
Since those who finished could leave at 1140, the 6 of us (Eugene-san, John-san, Alfred-san, Esther-san, myself and this other girl) decided to go out and eat... at Mos Burger (inside Parco Bugis Junction) It was my first time there so I was a little clueless... anyhow I was the youngset in that group since everyone else was either working, waiting for a job, or in the final stages of tertiary education (university). John-san and Alfred-san are funny guys. Very funny and interesting, and John-san watches Gundam too! Whoopee! lol. It's strange how old they look (I think John-san and Alfred-san are at least 30, maybe John-san is in his late 20s?) yet they act like normal teenagers... or maybe I am old? lol. We had a pretty nice time chatting about the test, anime, and stuffs. :) Yayness. Too bad Claudia-san (-chan! :) I should make her my imouto-chan some day... she wore a mid-riff baring shirt today! And she's in Secondary Three... Jesus... *nosebleed* LOL) couldn't join us. Apparently John-san was betting that she wouldn't come for the test today. Heh.
Anyway, I had to go for Math tuition after that, as usual, and was 6 minutes late. :P Whatever. And after that the day went on as per normal. Am downloading SEED DESTINY 27 and Tsubasa Chronicle 3 now. Slow as usual. What the hell. There's homework to be done again, too.
On another note, VJC did pretty well in the CDANS Open Shoot. I heard that they got medals and stuff. Good experience and rewards for those who never participated in a competition like this befoer, I heard Jia Ying got a medal (Rifle Girls, Team erm... 3rd or something we got...). I need my jacket lol. Maybe I should start showing Mr Chow the cards that are good, but those come once in a while and I seem to be having problems on my black card nowadays (I tell you, my white card groupings are much better than my black ones :( ).
And everyone's blog (or at least those around me) seem to have a need to be blogging about current affairs nowadays. Even Fiona has started doing so. Gee, what the...?
Swordfish was weird too. I didn't understand the last part, but, heck.
That's about it... here's Jamal, signing off!

Nothing.
Other than ruining my training today, and scatttering shots still (why?) there's nothing much I can blog about. Japanese test (Grammar) is on tomorrow so I have to mug somehow. :) That's about it.

Best Choice for a Boyfriend, huh?
Right. I don't see girls flocking towards me yet. (Heh... I'm not expecting it either). Had a small talk with Jonathan (from 05S42) (I shall assume it's spelt like that) today and listened to his stories about jio-ing (well, er... "getting", in a way) girlfriends. Hmmm. Seems like the cool Casanova to me, he is (why am I talking like Yoda?)
So school today was okay. Firday has become my favourite day since it's so short. But I woke up with a runny nose (sinusitis?) and it lasted fir most of the day. I slept through the last bit of Supersize Me, the "interview" part which was a bonus feature on the DVD, and woke up with a splitting headache.
Wanted to train but saw Eddie and Wen Ling (Year 2, Draco House Committee -> Eddie's the Captain ; Wen Ling = ? :P) having trouble carrying judo mats so I went to help them. And I stayed around to watch some bit of cheerleading preparations (I didn't have to do anything since I'm the mascot -> Don't tell) and see if they needed my help in one way or another. At the same time I was waiting for Panadol to take effect so I could train.
Mr Chow (Ursa Hosuemaster still! :@) spied on us from the range soon after, and later when I approached the range to train, just as he was walking out, he saw me and shook his head. I wanted to ask him what was wrong, then he said "Don't talk to me. Don't disturb me." Hmm... is he diappointed in me for "slacking" or something? I want my exco position and jacket... Whatever. I will fight on, and live it day by day. :) I need to focus on aiming and triggering, not hitting perfect shots each time though. Otherwise my shots today were still... okay.
And then I stoned around for over an hour (I'mg etting better at wastng time!), met Kendrick, talked, and watched (yes, with envy) as Stephanie came around, and showed concern for him (long story, I shall not elaborate :P) for some... appointment thing. Ah well. Didn't go to the Chinese Drama Night but whatever... And basically that's about it for today.
Oh, and I read in the papers that the Eurofighter Typhoon is no longer in the running to be Singapore's choice of a third-generation fighter aircraft to repalce our ageing A4-SU Super Skyhawks. The reamining contenders are Boeing's F-15T Strike Eagle (Export) and Dassault Aviation's Rafale. Darn it. The Eurofighter has good perfomance, is clean and beautiful, and the British even offered long-range air-to-air missiles as part of the deal! But no... we didn't choose it because of the slow delivery rate. Surprisingly it is still not inf ront-line service in ANY of the countries that have ordered it. Oh well> I hope we don't get the F-15. I'm a little sick of seeing American weapons and stuff pervade the world. They monopolise everything. How evil.
And I shall end with what happened this morning when I met this Chinese teacher (forgot name) who's in charge of the Taiwan Immersion programme in VJC... (she's quite friendly by the way... wait... JC teachers seem more friendly :) )
Me (in Chinese): Hallo teacher.
Teacher: Hi. Are you going to attend the Chinese Drama Night later?
Me: No... I have something on.
Teacher: All of you have something on.
Me (defensive): But it's true! I'm not lying!
Teacher: I didn't say you lied...
Aack. LOL. The TIP interview is on Monday, 25/4/2005, at 0844 hours. Wish me luck! I have to speak in Chinese, for one. :P Not good since mY standard of Chinese is...not too good. God bless. :)
EDIT @ 0016: Arts Central re-ran Inuyasha after Last Exile ended. How dumb. I didn't really want to watch that despite not watching it before... heh. :P

Tomorrow will be a better day.
Nothing much to blog about, except that I fucked up training like shit and shot as if I was using a shotgun. No two shots came close to each other. Yuan Lun (Chairman) told me earlier that there was still time, and I should focus on my training, my technique and stuff, but I still don't have a jacket. Which totally sucks... I'm the last remaining first-intaker to NOT have a jacket since Mr Chow asked Benjamin to start training with it today. I felt so left out and left behind and I guess that affected my shots. I let it get to my head, and let my failures get the better of me.
THIS CANNOT HAPPEN. Grr. Felt like, super-depressed for quite a while until I met Kendrick. Talking abotu Gundam did cheer me up (thanks dude!)
On another note, I finally handed in my GP Comprehension to Mr Lee at 1945 today after he had finished his judo training. I tried 4 times during my breaks today to find him, all of which failed so this happened. Oh well.
I guess I will have to work harder for my jacket... I will get it one day. Apart from that, tomorrow will be a better day!
If not there's always Plan B.... :P
Oh well.

Two falls in a day... am I lucky or what?
Let's see now... I have been busy rushing homework during breaks in school these past few days. Could have completed the GP comprehension today and handed in to Mr Lee, but there was this Project Work (PW) talk that we Year 1s had to attend. I should have completed it and handed it in earlier... shit. Hopefully this doesn't affect my image in Mr Lee (Li?)'s eyes...
I was lucky to get into the final 40 (out of 103) shortlisted for Temasek Seminar, and no doubt part of the reason for this msut have come from his comments (Thank you Mr Lee and Mr Chow! :) ) Other than that, school was boring. Then I had to rush down for the Library Quiz since nobody in my class kinda wanted to join. And they asked general knowledge questions... answeres could be found in the library but having only 1 hour to browse through books trying to LOOK for answers sucks, so all of us there were like discussing and copying answers from one another. Lets see who they choose to be the winners. Hehehe. But you do learn something new everyday, that's what I always say. So here are some of answered questions from the quiz (Please inform if any of the answers are wrong):
1. Changi Airport was opened in 1981.
2. Tan Howe Liang was the first man to win an Olympic Medal in Singapore.
3. Leonardo Da Vinci completed painting The Last Supper in 1495.
4. Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany.
5. There was some Shakespeare stuff which I didn't bother to remember.
6. Harry Potter went out on a date with this Chinese-sounding girl at a pub called The Hog's Head?
7. Pilgrim's place for prayer for the Jews is the Wailing Wall?
8.Tung Chee Hwa stepped down and named David (correct answer was Donald, DAMN!) Tsang as his successor.
9. The Iraqi elections were held on 30th January 2005.
10. Condolezza Rice is the new American Secretary Of State.
11. Basic lava is the least viscous.
12. There are 14 mountains in the world higher than 26000+ feet (there were 3 other digits after 26 but I forgot them :P)
13. Mount Everest is 8850m high. (I checked, it is 29035 feet which makes it 8850m (correct to 4 significant figures, divided by 3.2809 (correct to 4 decimal places, derived from the square root of 10.764 -> no Physics rules applied here)
14. Waves in open water are called... Tidal Waves?
15. Erwin Rommel has the nickname Desert Fox (the only one which I knew the answer to immediately).
16. Julius Caesar said some latin or soemthing after he crossed a river, I forgot what.
17. Britain and France clashed in the Battle of Hastings.
18. Dionsyius9 (?) or Akhenaton tried to change the traditional Egyptian way of religion?
19. Bhagveed Geeta and the Ramayana were two TYPES of ancient Hindu text?
20. Generals Yudenich and Denikin coined the term "a powerful and invisible Russia" during the Russian Civil War?
21. Angle of force to ground for projectile to reach maximum range is 45 degrees.
22. The anterior pituitary gland produces the most number of hormones (60% sure).
23. mRNA stands for Messenger Ribonucleic Acid.
24. Vulcan was the name given to a mistaken "planet" which was said to have existed between Mercury and the Sun (my friend said it was some obscure theory in astronomy and not well-known because debate about this ceased quickly).
And that's about it. There was no mini-competition today since the seniors had to go to CDANS, hopefully I'll maintain my standard. I dry-fired for 35 minutes, then went to have a short break because there were no lanes. Took a 15-minute nap but when I woke up it was time for Physical Training (PT) so I didn't shoot. Anyway PT for us was soccer, than captain's ball (with the girls) then soccer again. lol. I took the application form for Exco 2005-2006 too, hopefully I'll be Range Officer or Armorer at least. :) I fell once before soccer since I was standing on the chair, and I put on foot on the backrest wanting to "ride" the chair down as it fell (you know, that cool-stunt thing) but I lost my balance, tumbled down and landed on my butt together with the chair. And made myself a laughingstock. Hehe. :)
Then I stayed behind with Zhen Iang to chat as he waited for his girl. And reached home. And I fell again! This time in the shower. Was kinda humming music and dancing (I am a bathroom singer :P), then I just slipped, lost balance again and fell (boy, I have a bad sense of balance, Mr. Raja was right :P) noisily, since I hit the walls of the shower thingy. The frame kinda got mangled but Dad fixed it back. Scary... I escaped with a minor cut (swelling has gone down) on the back of my hand, below the thumb (where the thumb joins the wrist area). I'm shaken, but I'll be alright. Whew. Luckily I didn't hit my head or soemthing, or I might have died... (choy, touch wood!) But still it's scary. Heh.

*Flashback*
While I was bathing, I had a flashback to a dream I had somewhere mid last year...
Jiayu finds himself walking down a strange corridor. He pays no attention to his surroundings, all he sees are people. People who are mocking him and laughing at him. Strangers, his friends, even his cousins. He is continually mocked at and laughed at. Anger builds up within him... and he wakes up crying.
That was a vivid dream I had while I was napping last year, around July if I am not wrong. I have no idea why I was thinking about it a few hours ago. Weird.
Other than that, school was a humdrum today. The only intersting thing that actually happened was that we watched part of SuperSize Me during GP lesson. For those who don't know, it's a documentary thing where this guy goes on a MacDonald's Diet (eating MacDonald's every day for 30 days) while at the same time reporting on the sad state of food nutrition and obesity in America. Shocking. And there was this extra scene where they did a test involving some MacDonald's burgers, MacDonald's french fries, and a regular burger and regular fries from some roadside stall. All the food items were left to decompose and after EIGHT weeks, the MacDonald's french fries still looked as good as new!
What does this say? They stuff loads of preservatives down the fries. And the way chicken nugget is made (assuming it's actually true) shocks me. Gee, I think I might be out off MacDonald's for maybe a while... I tend to forget things though.
Trained some bit today and decided not to change the settings of the cheekrest (under Ali's advice). My ten shots weren't together, but split into closely spaced groupings of 4, 4, and 2. I'd have shown the card if I could. Just lazy to interface my camera with the PC and uploading pictures. Mr Chow said they were pretty good though, I must keep this up!
Other than that, I watched Tsubasa Chronicle - 2. It totally rocks! So does Gundam SEED DESTINY-26. Cellphone^2 is looking like a better fansub group now, almost as good as H^2 T^2. :)
...Signing off!

Crimson Tide
I flunked the Lecture Test since I fell asleep while studying (damn, again!) at home. Other than that nothing happened at school. The range closed super-early today for reasons unknown so I could't go down and readjust the cheek-rest settings back to a level comfortable to me (since Li Zhe changed it on Saturday).
3rd period PE was to run 8 rounds around the school track, everybody. Somehow today I didn't feel as tired as I normally do. I didn't even have a stitch! Strange. And not only me, my friends felt the same. So it was not due to me running 8 rounds for 3 weeks already... hmm... Had to do it while Catholic Junior College (CJC) and Raffles Junior College(RJC) were having a soccer match. Kinda embarrassing, but oh well. :) VJC beat Millenia Institute (MI) 4-0 too, and 3 of our goals were scored in the first 15 minutes.
After that the players from MI woke up and gave credible defence even after we put in another goal. :) Mmm... I guess you can call it a good game. Mr Chow was shouting fanatically, maybe to egg our players on? He's so passionate... and funny. :P
Returned home and caught the movie (seems like an old one, nobody does submarine-launching-nuclear-missile movies anymore) Crimson Tide on TV (despite having loads of homework :P). It stars Denzel Washington, an Executive Officer aboard the nuclear submarine USS Alabama. He launches a mutiny to stop his captain (Gene Hackman) from launching nuclear missiles without the proper confirmation of orders. Intrinsically, this movie criticises the failure of the American military system, when two senior officers failed to resolve their differences leading to such a conflict. A footnote at the end of the movie says that as of 1996, the decision to launch nuclear missiles lies with the President, and no longer the submarine commanders. So I guess that's good.
Yet sometimes evil me wishes for the destruction of all mankind. Hmph.
That's for now I guess. Ciao!

My patience is wearing thin.
Ah, another day. Yet another day. Japanese class, then I skipped C-Math tuition on the premise that I had to think of the ideas for Project Work [sadly, no ideas yet :( ] and study for Chemistry lecture test. I wasted the entire afternoon though, since I reverted to the bad habit of studying on my bed and falling asleep. So I did not even cover a single chapter. Damn.
Interestingly, both SEED DESTINY-26 and Tsubasa Chronicle-2 came out today. I tried to download both but apaprently the speeds were too slow (and still slow so I decided to take SEED DESTINY first). Cellphone^2 is proving to be a good and fast substitute for Haro^2 Tori^2 (hence referred to as H^2 T^2), maybe I'll only download H^2 T^2's fansubs if there's a need for it (say, origins of ship names etc.) And that's about it... maybe I should go do work later.
Random note lest I forget: Me have a short fuse. Grrr...
EDIT @ 2126: I wonder if there were fanfics about Kate and Leopold (the movie) after watching it on TV. What would happen to Kate as she adjusts to life in 1876 America? Or will they return to their present time? Hmm... interesting random thought.

RT II: Phase
Ok, so here's what we have for Thursday, Friday and today. I was so damned tired the last few days that I slept early without doing any work at all. Hehe.
Thursday
My life is as mundane as ever so as usual, school was a drag. Mr Goh (current PE teacher, we change teachers each term) who is teaching us tennis, tells me that I have practically no ball sense, and said that I should practice more. Whatever. No wonder I'm so stiff when it comes to racket-based stuff. Then I helped him count the tennis balls after PE on my own initiative (since I was the closest there) and when he debriefed us, he made special mention of me.
"Your classmate here... (*points to me*) has practically no ball sense. Not the best partner to sleect for a tennis game to make you feel good, but he's the best choice for a boyfriend since he has good EQ." -> (quoted and edited with better English :P)
Gee. And when I asked him why he said I had good EQ, he told me that it was because I actually took the initiative to help count the balls. Hmm... I don't see myself as a nice guy or anything, really. Do I have low self-esteem? I have no idea. I don't like to think much.
As with most Thursdays, I felt darned shag for the rest of the day and ended up being sleepy for most of the classes. The worse bouts of sleepiness always strike during Geography tutorial, the damned last two periods of the day. Aack.
After that I actually planned to train but I realised that I left my shirt and towel in Lecture Theatre 3 (LT 3) so I waited till the lecture in it was over before moving in to retrieve it. It was 1700 hours by then and I just decided on the spot to skip training and go watch the VJC vs RJC soccer match, which we won (expected to win) 4-0. :) Evil me... hehe.
I missed Shaman King and Last Exile again because I collapsed on my bed early.
Friday
Short day, nothing much. Got briefed in LT 2 early in the morning since I was one of the 53 (out of over 100) shortlisted for Temasek Seminar. Yay! But only 40 applicants are allowed from each school so it looks like there would be another round of shortlisting. I really want to go to the seminar... even if I am involved in the Taiwan Immersion Programme thing too. *prays hard* Hit the range as usual and did 80 shots. not too bad although I wasn't giving my best all the time so I had some fucked-up shots. Damn! Managed to catch Last Exile and Shaman King. Exciting!
Today
Parents-meet-Principal session was so-so. The speech by Mrs Chan contained information that msot of us students know already (but whose parents don't know) so not a lot of us were listening. Luckily my parents rushed home after that so they didn't get to meet Mr Chow. :P That would mean trouble for me. :D Anyway, during the talk, my Scout friend and I were calculating which year would the DHS Crane Scout Group have it's 50th Anniversary Campfire. Looks like it's next year. I want to go back and attend! (Even though I am not a Venture, but thinking back to my days in Scouting... there were the good times and bad. Mmm. )
Trained again and stuff, bloddy fucking cocked up my first 10 shots, probably because I wasn't too ready to shoot yet. Mr Chow saw that card and scolded me again for not giving my all. Hmm... I must pia each ane every shot from now on. Concentrate, you idiot! I think that's my weakest point. And I'm not that consistent yet I think, plus maybe the seniors and Mr Chow don't think I have the right attitude yet, which is why I haven't started training with the jacket yet. It has to be the reason. No jacket = no competiton. Ah well...
Went to Parkway with Benjamin, Zhen Iang and Shawn after training, and listened to them talk about the girls that they liked. They all are attached, or are on their way to... how nice. Heh. My mom tells me to steer clear of such things though. Accompanied them to shop at the Perlini Silver booth at Parkway, where Shawn bought a necklace for his girl, and immediately went off to take a bus to her house to give it to her. :) Good luck dude!
Dinner at Chinese Swimming Club (CSC) once again. Met Mrs Seng, my Primary Six teacher and whom I'm very indebted to. :) Singapore is so darned small, heh. And that's about it I guess.
All in a day's work for a mudnane, empty fellow like me.
*sighs* Mom and Dad... (I want to rant about it but I can't bring myself to do so about my family problems. Fuck. Please don't read this.)
EDIT @ 2217: Gundam SEED has ended its run on Kids Central. Now I can't catch the episodes that I missed watching in the original Japan broadcast. Aargh. I wonder what life would be without Gundam SEED DESTINY...

Damn, what am I doing?
Waking up early on Thursday morning to blog... crap.
Wednesdays are nice days in general. Gotta love the breaks. I'll probably have to mug during the breaks next time, and with Project Work coming up... I need to get my preliminary ideas done. I thought I had quit Physics Society but apparently not. It's okay... I need that CCA to fall back on anyway. Furthermore, since it's project-based, the timings can be flexible. Looks like I really have to manage my time very well now.
We'll see how things go yes? Running for posts, organising things, and shooting. *sighs* I was never a good manager. Mini-Competition III was held today (as on all Wednesdays) and I did not go to the Taiwan Immersion Programme (TIP) briefing conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE) at National Junior College (NJC) today. Oh well, the teacher-in-charge in VJC said it wasn't necessary anyway, but I have to fill up the form quickly and hand it in. Then all that's left is the interview. Sounds easy, but when you have to pick 80 people out of, say, three-quarters of the students in the top 5 JCs, then that's a problem.
I shot pretty well for myself today, with an average score of 7.27 per shot. I'm still not the best rifle shooter (in fact, the worst -> I won't consider second-intake students in since they might not be used to our training yet) but I think 7.27 is much better than the 6.48 I posted last week. Now all that's left is to maintain this standard... Competition pressure really sucks.
And I hear VJC did pretty okay for the National Cross-Country. Boys got overall 2nd and girls, overall 6th. For me, the ever-slacker (like Asakura Yoh from Shaman King, but I think I'm even slacker than him :P) these results are quite good. We'll have to see what the principal says tomorrow.
I haveno idea why I was so shagged when I reached home though. I collapsed on bed at 2200 after dinner and stuff and a mere 30 minutes on cimputer. Woke up at 0330 and realised that I had missed Last Exile and Shaman King (just when Last Exile is nearing its end, and Shaman King is showing some promise!! -> Anna makes her debut today!). Bah.
Chen Yan did tell me that Tsubasa Chronicle (a new piece of manga/anime that contains characters from all of CLAMP's work) episode 1 was up for downloads, so I went to find it and got it. Interesting stuff we see here, it is similar to the manga (at least the scanlations I read online). Thanks Chen Yan! :) I wondered if there was an animated version when I first read the manga so indeed, it has arrived. Hmm...
Apparently Sakura and Syaoran are now childhood friends, and Sakura actually was going to confess that she loved him, but... then "that" event happens (Go watch it, I don't want to spoil it yet!) and now I think, the journey begins, to test Syaoran's love for Sakura, and his own resolve, tied together with the other characters. I do not know much of CLAMP's work, but already I see Tomoyo (CardCaptor Sakura; CCS), Touya (CCS), Yukito (CCS), Chii (Chobits), Sakura, Syaoran (CCS), Mokona (Magic Knight Rayearth) and others...
Ah well, I shouldn't be slacking so much though. But I don't feel like doing work at 5 in the morning... *sighs*
Bah.

Huh?
Bah. I blogged for last Thursday in my last two posts. Whatever. Anyway yesterday was a drag (as usual), and I was too darned shagged (tired) after 3rd period PE (Woah, Taebo...) so when I went down the range to train I wasn't really concentrating and stuff. And that's about it. Had dinner at Waraku with Dad since Mom didn't cook. Re-watched Gundam SEED DESTINY 25 for a little while and stuff. And that's about it for Monday.
Today was boring (school is boring :P) and I realised that I am getting lazier. Work undone, yadda yadda yadda. I must buck up! I tell myself this but I don't do anything to save my soul. Had the first session of Project Work where we got into groups to brainstorm for ideas... hmm... the questions given are all so difficult, how am I going to churn out an essay on my Preliminary Ideas in two weeks' time? Life really sucks.
I did not realise the range would close at 1700 hours today so I only managed to squeeze off 3 shots before being told to clear my weapon. This was due to the fact that all the seniors plus some juniors had to go to the CDANS range to train. I felt a little lost having to go home so early... but I wasted my time on games anyway. :P
Why do I play them? Perhaps Mr Yeo (C-Math tuition teacher) was right in saying that JC students shouldn't play but mug, mug, mug... but I'll die if I do that. What am I doing? I feel messed up all of a sudden...

Quadruple post!
Shit, I just realised that I didn't blog for 4 whole days. Now that's quite a lot of thigns to sum up in a single post, I'll try to do my best. Memory will limit what goes here though, heh.
Thursday
My handphone could be switched on! I thought everything was working fine until I saw some corruption in the phone data. The words were all over the place! Then the battery died on me. Oh well. (There's nothing more I can remember, the day probably dragged on). Then I hit the range and trained. Then the Exco called me in.. and everybody, including Mr Chow, shit-canned me. I was accused of having the wrong attitude and "not giving a damn about my shots". I queried what that meant afterward, and they told me that I did not reflect on the mistakes I made. Okay... I was pretty affected by the criticism and wasn't too happy for the rest of the day.
Friday
Charged my handphone, and was overjoyed to see it work! But there was a huge increase in battery power consumption. By the end of the day, I had exhausted a full charge. Looks like it needs to be changed. Went for the VJC briefing on the Taiwan Immersion Programme trip. Looks like it's going to be very fun, but taxing too especially during the two weeks that we have to play host. My Mom tells me to try for it. I'll leave it up to fate as to whether I get in, or not. Decided to watch the live telecast of MusicFest in Lecture Theatre 5 (LT 5) since I didn't have tickets, then went down to train till 1800+.
Changed my mind after persuasion from Yan Ho. We were going to sneak into the Performance Theatre (PT) to watch MusicFest for free! Muahahahahaha. We went up to the second floor (lower gallery, upper entrance) to find a way in but security was a little tight. So we went down, and tried it again later. Tried to reason our way through, he said that we were looking for seniors from the Photography Society but the SC guy refused to let us in. Then we tried backstage. When we entered, only three guys stared blankly back at us. Apaprently they didn't know who was supposed to be here and who not. Under cover of darkness we sneaked out adn exited from the curtains to find seats. Infiltration successful! We couldn't get out until the end though since we would not be able to return (the legitimate people had UV-stamps on their hands). Eunice Olsen was there, as was Willy Lau (Yan Fei's son in The Unbeatables III) and Rosalind Pho and this other supposedly famous guy whom I've never heard of :P.
Anyway, MusicFest 2005 simply rocked! The performances were all superlative. The Heineken advertisement is a reality! Songs, dances, bands, all damned freakin' cool. Hell yeah! Almost everyone who won deserved to win. :) Best of all, I got in for free. :P I hope I don't get killed or something after this post. Anyway, Jimmy did make me feel bad about it sicne he branded sneaking in a "despicable act". It's unfair to thsoe who bought tickets, but... oh well. :P The PT wasn't filled anyway...
Too lazy to post results. Oh, but Liang Hong really is a cool guy. I didn't know he was so good at drumming, he could do it blindfolded! I'm sure Yan Ho enjoyed himself too. :)
Saturday
Back to training. The male seniors went to CDANS and stuff so the range was emptier than usual. And the weapons lesser than usual. I waited for weapons and lanes more than I trained, but I think I did pretty okay... (I think, but my seniors may think otherwise. Gotta be wary of them now). Went out for lunch at Parkway Parade's basement food court, and chatted with Mavis, Pei Fang and Min Ning and went over to join Jon, Rhesa and Eng Keat later at their tables.
I want to run for the post of either Range Officer or Armorer. I hope there isn't any competition, but seriously that's a really impossible thing to expect. At least I'm not running for Chairman or something. All depends on the support I get, and the seniors... and Mr Chow. Hmm. Good luck to me.
Had dinner at the revamped Chinese Swimming Club complex. It was noisy there, and there was a bowling competiton going on. The food didn't change much, and then I explored the 4 levels of the complex. Interesting. Spent some time playing Crisis Zone but I died super-quick... Too bad there wasn't enough time to go for VJC's funfair held somewhere in Aljunied (Daniel Ong... please give more details next time! :P). I wanted to be part of the mass dance in front of the Prime Minister and the other ministers. Apparently VJC's mass dances are so famous that even the Cabinet has heard of them. Cool! But alas, such luck was not to befall me... when I finished dinner it was already 2045 (the fair ended at 2100) which was why I had time to explore the complex. Exploring is fun. :) Oh, and I took pictures of my '2100. I will really, truly miss it...
Sunday (Today)
Japanese lessons, C-Math tuition. I didn't know (Uncle) John-san (this Japanese lesson classmate of mine) was a Gundam fan too! Agreed to burn DVDs for him, the episodes he missed. Then I had an argument with Mom over tuition (I was always reluctant to go). In the end, I resigned myself to going and paying the fees for another 8 weeks. Oh well...
Ogled at Maxim, FHM magazines and stuff on my way home (Hey, every man does that... and Shell rocks! :P). Lol. Finally managed to pick up a copy of The New Paper. Interesting stuff they have. But one picture seemed to suggest that Rebecca Lim, the ex-VJC Year Three senior who took part in Miss Singapore Universe 2005 (and got 4th Runner-Up = 5th) that she was one of those who didn't look good. I beg to differ and I'm sure a lot of people agree with me... They didn't show her full picture but it was pretty obvious... At least the articles weren't offending.
My Mom also managed to trade in my '2100 for a spanking new Noka 3120 (had to pay $40, but I think that's pretty cheap :P). Hello, new phone! I hope I don't spoil it through my absent-mindedness again...
And that's about it for 4 days. :)

Twice Unlucky
(This post is for Thursday, 7/4/2005)
This bloody day moved at the pace of a snail. I was damned sleepy during Geography and failed to catch what the teacher was saying. Need to reorganise my notes.
I too watched my handphone die on me today, from being elated that I could turn it on in the morning, to finding out that it couldn't search for a signal, to seeing it get corrupted and lose battery power... I re-charged it for fun. Looks like I'm really going to miss it. If the dealers don't want it, at least I'll keep it for a while while I buy a new handphone (Too bad, the Nokia 2100 only served me for about a year and a half, it could have been longer if not for my absent-mindedness yesterday...)
Learnt tennis for PE. As usual, I have ball sense the size of a rock and cannot serve or return the opponent's volley and stuff. But we were all newbies, and the way we played was probably wrong since the teacher let us guys play while he taught the girls the techniques.
Slightly more activity in the AR Range since quite a few of the shooters (mostly female) were preparing to head to CDANS (where is the range, I wonder?) to train. Some Year 1s were selected to go too (Pei Fang, Paulin and Jia Ying). I got summoned to a meeting between Mr Chow and the Exco, or rather Executive Committee... where I was berated for having the wrong attitude and "not giving a damn about my shots". In essence, I was shit-canned. Was depressd for the rest of training and thus made a few scattered shots far away from my groupings. :(
Unless I produce even better results (have to try harder and review my mistakes?), otherwise I think I might not have a future in the ARC. That thought in itself is worrying, now that I have quit the "safety net" CCA which I had joined earlier, the Library Council. Wonder if they'll want to take me in again if I really get kicked out of VJARC [Victoria Junior (College) Air Rifle Club]. It'll be hard to join a CCA suddenly in the middle of the year, and messing up my CCA record. That'll be when the shit hits the fan... for yet another time.

How Fortunes Can Change Within A Single Day
This morning actually started out well. Apart from the Project Work briefing thing which made me worried and scared and shit (who's not afraid of this big, freaking big project with weird questions that test your interpretative skills and just about any other skill under the Sun, WHICH IS ALSO PART OF YOUR EXAMINATION GRADES?)the day was relatively short (as Wednesdays are supposed to be) :P I stoned much, and got away with not doing homework AGAIN. :P I should sit down and do some, I feel stupid already.
Then the day started to unravel... there came the AR mini-competiton (Every Wednesday is competition day), and this time the jacketeers (as I would refer to the rifle shooters; Year 1s, who are already training with jackets) were participating too. I think I got kinda stressed up over the female shooters' scores, and I made a mistake in announcing the time left (20 minutes) when it is only the last 10 minutes and last 5 that are announced. Jia Ying wanted to know how much there was left and when I got the information she was aiming so I decided to shout it out... Jeffrey gave me a dirty look after that and it was then that I found out my mistake. Stupid move.
I shot with improvement. My average of 6.27 last week went up to 6.48, although I think I could have done better and not messed up my shots especially those in my last series. I even shot a 10.9! (I think, because it was really RIGHT AT THE CENTRE) but I didn't make use of that and fouled that series too. Gah, what's with me?
The heavy rain meant that I had to walk home with a heavy bag since my hands had to hold the umbrella. I felt a sore throat in the wings (didn't drink enough water and STILL went to eat Lay's Potato Chips) but ignored it. Came home, had dinner, and went to bathe at 2100. Bloody hell chewed on a piece of meat which had fish bone? or some bone thingy sticking out, I clamped down on it so the bone stabbed into the roof of my mouth which bled, now it hurts, especially when I eat. And we all know that wounds in the buccal cavity (mouth) are hard to heal (at least for me)...
I came out fater that and took a short nap. Because I changed into PE attire for AR, thus my uniform was in a plastic bag when I came home. My handphone was in the trouser pocket. Since I didn't (I forgot, as usual, I am THAT absent-minded) put my uniform in for washing, thus my mom took it, and dumped everything into the pail of water. Then she found out that my handphone (I share it with her) was inside, and it was totally destroyed. She started nagging and shouting and stuff which woke me up. Then I found out that my sore throat became a full-blown killer. And I had runny nose too. So I sat there getting pissed off and all and not retaliating (I usually would but since I had sore throat...)
Online, Carey kinda counselled me. Everyone commented about my nick: "It's not fair that I get blamed for every single fucking thing that goes wrong. ITS NOT FUCKING FAIR." Thanks Carey! Cooling off for a while has made me feel better but I guess this day sucked in the end. Hopefully tomorrow will be better, as the chinese saying goes “ 明天会更好。”
*sighs* Now to plan on how to watch my anime at night...
EDIT at 2301: I'll miss my pink Nokia 2100...
EDIT 2 at 0017, 7.4.2005: Just found out that my mother threw away some newspaper articles that I kept. Some interesting stuff... Shit. Now if only I put them away in the correct places instead of on my table... lazy me. Argh. No point crying over spilt milk. I also lost the small screwdriver that I got for repairing spectacles (actually I used it more to unscrew other stuff). Gah, I feel sad and at a loss all of a sudden.
EDIT 3 at 0029: I went to the Arts Central website and entered this contest to get a Last Exile cloth poster. The question was tricky, but easy in a way. Hopefully I get it... if not I'll try again next week. :)

What a record.
Blogging at 0500 hours. Hmm, and all for yesterday which wasn't a very good day after all. I seem to still have problems socialising with my classmates, some, yes but I seriously think it is getting better (It'd better, otherwise I think I'll just be a loser in the end).
The day dragged on slowly, with me not understanding things in lectures as usual. I hit the range (will do so everyday, so this phrase I think I will use often) at 1600 hours to start training, doing half of the full 100-shot series. Still not too bad, although my grouping on the white card was better than those on the black. Mr Chow joked that I should shoot on the white card to get better scores, maybe I'll hit a 10 that way. Apart from that, I guess I am not focused enough and my mind is not ready at time hence I still get weird shots all over the place. Hmm.
I reached home, and had a shouting match with my mother over the powerpoints and charging of the shaver. I know I have a short fuse, but... gah. I got scolded for not having a routine in my life, which probably holds true for AR too. I started feeling worthless. Till now, when I do sit down and think, I cannot fidn the reason for my existence yet... But I felt better after cooling down for a while.
*sighs* What is this man...
Its 0503 hours now and I must rest, there is a mini-competition still in a few hours' time!

No more SEED DESTINY reviews
I will not be posting SEED DESTINY reviews, at least for a while because I am too lazy to do them. I type too much :P and its taxing :P:P. Today was again, a drag, with 3rd period PE of running again and again and again. I went down to the range to dry fire for 30 minutes, and got Yong Sheng to adjust my rifle butt settings back to the original settings (done by the coach). Thanks! :D
Apart from that, I was a little pissed when I reached home to discover that the water supply had been cut off temporarily. Apparently somebody's pipe burst... Gah. Had to help Mom get water from the toilet downstairs (separate water piping unit?). Kinda sucks considering that you lug a pail of waterup three storeys. But I should be thankful. If I lived on the 25th storey or something and the lift broke down... Jesus... God knows what will happen.
So I didn't bathe till the water supply was restored at 1935 hours. But things do happen right? So I shouldn't gripe. Then I watched Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace on TV and promptly forgot to watch the variety show on Channel U to see my friend Alan and some other VJC peeps running and stuff. Hehehehe. Oh well...
Then... I think I have nothing else to say already. :P Ciao!

Consolidated Post
I was a little lazy to blog yesterday, so here's what happened:
There was AR training in the morning as usual, and well, I did average. Then some of our seniors, grand-seniors and stuff came down to attend this gathering we organised for them. Wee Siong's batch (the 2001 one, or Year 5s) were probably the oldest of the lot. There was pizza and some other food, but basically the Year 1s mixed among themselves, the Year 2s with the Year 3s and the Year 4s and 5s with Mr Chow and the coach randomly popping around here and there.
Coach left soon after, while the rest of us went back down to the range for the mini-competition organised by Shawn and Pei Fang. It was based on a card game (what's with AR and poker card games?) where the aim is to obtain a "hand" of the highest rank (full houses, flushes, etc). I am too lazy to explain the rules, plus I don't really know how to play cards so there you go. :P I was paired up with a Year 4 by the name of Yao Teng. We tried for 8s but failed horribly (he because he prolly didn't shoot for a long time and me beacuse I'm a bad shot :P) and ended up with a pair of 9s only, thus we didn't make it past the first round. Hehe.
All in all, it was fun. And Tanny came down too! I don't know why but I was kind of wanting her to come. She probably doesn't know me but I recognise her from my DHS days. A pretty one at that, really. :) I think she was the chair(wo)man during her time... hmm. And with that disarming smile... she flashed at me, lol. I gave her one of my stupid grins in return. :P She hung around for a while mainly talking to the seniors and Mr Chow. It was at first arranged that she pair up with Mr Chow for the mini-competition but she left so Yong Sheng took her place. As usual, Mr Chow was acting cocky and all, but he still lost at the semi-finals... hehehehe. :P Everyone was cheering. In the end, Eng Keat and Ee Ray (?) won the competition, with a cute fluffy bunny towel being the prize. Hahaha... interesting :D
Everything ended at 1630+. The rest of the day wasn't too interesting, met this VJC girl (Samantha?) while having dinner at lemongrass restaurant. She probably didn't notice me. Hehe, whatever.
Today:
The same old boring shit, tuition and stuff. As for Japanese, we finally started to learn some serious counting. My so-called clique (the four of us peeps sitting in front) were joking that one to ten was "no kick" and gamely tried out the larger numbers (888,888,888 would be fun... :) -> I took a beginner's course before so I knew what to expect, but at the same time I forgot quite a bit of stuff too). Then it rained as I ran home. Sucky. Couldn't attend the dinner Wee Siong and co. organised for Kenny (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!), oh well...
Back home, Jia Ying told me she read my blog, among other things. :) (Sorry I offended you, dearie! lol :) ) I wonder who else reads my blog... seriously. Do tag please, if you come across my blog. If I don't know you, please leave a line or something so I can contact you and we can know each other okay? :)
And after much digging, I found Tanny's blog, one she shares with two other people. But it has fallen into disuse with the last post being made sometime last year... hmm...
Am too lazy to post reviews and burn CDs for friends so I guess I will stone and stop here.

2 mins after April Fool's Day :)
It's officially Saturday now, but let me blog about Friday. :P It was April Fools' Day and Iforgot all about it. Luckily nothing happened to me. Dropped and broke my bottle while rushing to school, and then a Student Councillor just popped up during assembly and announced that "in the memory of a certain beloved OM, we are switching off allf ans and air-cons from 9am to 3pm!" LOL. I was about to believe it when he later said that it was an April Fools' Day joke thing. Heh. was tricked for that small moment.
Anyway, S41 had its "birthday' today. I was totally lost in the morning when I heard my classmates talk about birthdays and stuff (since you know, I seem to be an anti-social guy nowadays :P) then later I realised that it was April the 1st, or 4/1/2005, so it's a S41 birthday! Lol. They also wanted to celebrate it on 1/4/2005, or rather January the 4th if you read it from here, in the MMDDYYYY format. :P Which I don't use. Had ice-cream and stuff, and someone bought a cake (avoided the cake though, don't ask why). I wonder who...
Caught sight of a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY S41" slide on the plasma screen in the canteen later in the afternoon. There was a picture of Mr Chow on it (I bet it was taken during o2) and it came from "Papa Bear". I'm damned sure that came from Mr Chow lol. :) Even though he denied it when I asked him about it in the AR range, saying that "someone must have used my name". Heh. :) Whatever, but it was nice of him to do that. :)
Went down the range to do some training, looks like I'll be going down every day of the week now. Did so-so, with my arms hurting from the chin-ups and long training I did yesterday I guess. They still hurt now, yeowch. Might have gone on with the full regimen but was a bit bored. Anyway, I had already decided to return to Dunman High for kicks, to see my Scout juniors (even though I am not a Venture Scout) so I headed off at 1630 hours. Received an SMS froma primary school classmate whom I lost contact with after we got posted to different secondary schools. :) I called him back, and had a little chat with him. Hmm... we'll meet some day hmm?
When I reached DHS, most of the Scouts were leaving. But there was Speech Day (where they give out awards and stuff) going on so I decided to wait and see if Jason was around so I could go home with him and rib him about his awards. :) He's such a mugger, but a nice friend to have around too. Really. :) So I stayed around, stoned, said hi to teachers, made small talk with Yue Woon whom I probably last had clsoe contact with during Sec 2 Level Camp and stuff, then crashed the reception for the award recipients and stuff. :) didn't eat the food since I was going home to eat anyway, I just drank some fruit punch. Chatted with Jin Yong and co. who were obviously there to get awards. My results weren't that good, but hey, I must be satisfied yes? Mrs Tan was still a little disappointed with my A-Maths results I can tell, but oh well, what's done is done. Also seeked out Mr Teo, one of the Scout teachers-in-charge during my time (his whole family is into Scouting) who has since retired. :) He took a qhile to remember my name although he recognised my face. :) And my mother, he actually remembers! Lol. Funny. Now that he's retired, he tells me that he has been enjoying life. Reading books, going out, and doing the things he liked and never had time to do due to his busy schedule as a teacher. I wasn't taught by him but he is a nice and caring man, and I guess I respect him too. Kudos to him for making Scouting enjoyable for so many people, and at the same time imparting many lessons to us (Makes me remember that last run-in... heh. I was never good with money). Oh well, take care Mr Teo, may we meet again some day! :D
And so I reached home, albeit late at 1945 after the reception, leaving with Kai Him, Bryan, Liow Wei Quan, and all. Had dinner, stoned around and watched LE. Kiddy Grade ended with a sad/happy ending. Hmm. I want to buy the VCD now, because I want those screenshots of Eclair and Lumiere in action, especially in their final phases which I didn't have time to admire yet. Then I'll pass judgement. Anyway for Friday Kiddy Grade was finally taken over by Shaman King. The first episode... hmm... pretty nice opening by Hayashibara Megumi (I listened to it long ago though :P) but there wasn't really anything that piqued my interest. I'll watch a few more episodes to see if I want to continue watching later on or not... maybe when I get busy... I won't. :( The ending was okay, yes.
Oh, did I mention that thje VJC uniform is quite thick? So I don't have to wear singlets to school anymore, buth they are hot at time! And I felt uncomfortable with the tie too which also smelt and felt really weird, way different from the DHS tie... I'll miss that one. Found out that I had a tendency to dirty the inner sleeve of my pant legs since my walking style causes my shoes to brush against them. Oh well. And they show because the VJC uniform is so light in colour! I prefer dark coloured pants like DHS's... stains and dirty stuff don't show easily in those. Now I can;t wipe my hands on my pants after Chemistry practicals...
And that's about it I guess... :D
