Another regular Sunday, with elements of hysteria!
Another normal Sunday it is with Japanese lessons and Math tuition. Feeling a bit tense because of the big day tomorrow, but otherwise it's just another day.
Gundam SEED DESTINY PHASE 18: Fire at the Lohengrin! review
(again, taken from MAHQ.net with my own additions)
For this episode the title is self-explanatory. Indeed, the Minerva is pitted against the Lohengrin Gate and its 'fearsome' Mobile Armour, the Gerzu-Geh.
The Minerva is joined by the land battleships Desmond and Bagley on the journey through the Gulnahan ravine. Talia increases the alert status and orders all the pilots to assemble in the briefing room. A young girl named Coniel Almeta contacts the Minerva and board the ship via an underside hatch. Shinn arrives at the briefing room with Lunamaria and asks if they are going to be working with the local resistance group. Arthur enters the room and is joined by Athrun and Coniel. Shinn is surprised that Coniel is just a kid, and Arthur begins the briefing. He explains that the Radul squadron has been unable to take out the base and hands over the briefing to Athrun. Athrun displays a map on screen and points out the position of the Lohengrin cannon, along with the town behind the base and the power plant. He explains that the mobile armor Gerzu-Geh is equipped with a positron reflector shield similar to the Zamzazar. Shinn jumps in and says that their objective must be to destroy the Gerzu-Geh and Lohengrin cannon. Athrun explains that how they do that is the next part of the briefing, and Shinn says he'll take care of things if he feels like it. Athrun then trips up Shinn by saying that everyone else will just wait for him to do everything. Coniel asks if Shinn is really going to be the pilot and thinks Athrun should do it because he's the commander. Athrun says he thinks Shinn is capable and gives Shinn the mission disk. Shinn refuses and says that maybe Athrun should do it instead if he's such a better pilot. Athrun tells Shinn to stop being such a spoiled brat and says that if he felt Shinn was incapable of carrying out the mission he wouldn't be assigning it to him. Coniel tells Shinn that there was an uprising in town when ZAFT attacked the base. Because the attack failed, the Alliance forces retaliated against the citizens and killed many people. Athrun leaves with Coniel, and Lunamaria tells him he did well in controlling Shinn. She says that even from the academy days Shinn has always had a problem with authority. Athrun says that Shinn isn't a bad person and is just awkward at getting along with people. Athrun says he is also awkward about socializing with people, and Lunamaria thinks he just blew her off.
Joachim announces the start of the operation from the Desmond. Shinn launches in the Core Splendor, followed by the Chest Flyer and Leg Flyer. According to Coniel's data, an extremely narrow and unknown tunnel runs through the ravine and exits right below the base of the Lohengrin cannon. Shinn flies through the ravine and is annoyed when he enters the pitch black tunnel. He thinks about Athrun's briefing and the plan to lure the Gerzu-Geh and the Dagger Ls away from the base to allow Shinn to get near the Lohengrin cannon and destroy it. The Alliance base detects the ZAFT attack force, so the base commanders orders the launch of the Dagger L squad and the Gerzu-Geh. Athrun launches in the Saviour Gundam, followed by Rey in the Blaze ZAKU Phantom and Lunamaria in the Gunner ZAKU Warrior. Shinn continues to fly though the narrow tunnel and thinks that he has to do it because Athrun doesn't want to. The Minerva ascends and fires its Tannhauser at the Dagger L squad, but the Gerzu-Geh places itself in the middle and deflects the blast with its shield. The dispersal of energy pushes back the Minerva and several BuCUEs from the Desmond. The Alliance base commander thinks that the ZAFT strategy is good, but he doesn't think it will work because they don't have a shield. He fires the Lohengrin at the Minerva, and Talia has the ship perform a hard descent and quick landing to evade the blast. The base commander recalls the Gerzu-Geh to protect the Lohengrin while it recharges. On the ground, Lunamaria and Rey fight off the Jet Dagger Ls while Athrun attacks them in the skies. Shinn reaches the end of the tunnels and blasts his way out. He combines with the other flyers to form the Impulse Gundam. He then begins to destroy the Dagger Ls surrounding the Lohengrin. The base commander orders the Lohengrin to be lowered underground. Meanwhile, Athrun takes on the Gerzu-Geh and slices off its two arms. Shinn destroys several Dagger Ls and uses his Folding Razor knives on one unit guarding the Lohengrin. He then fires at it with his vulcans and throws it into the hole. The Dagger L explodes and destroys the Lohengrin, setting off a chain of enormous explosions across the entire base. As more ZAFT reinforcements arrive, the civilians begin to kill all the Alliance soldiers. Shinn is greeted as a hero, and Athrun congratulates him. Shinn playfully complains about the difficulty of navigating the tunnel, and Athrun reminds him that he did it despite the difficulty. Talia recalls Shinn and Athrun now that their mission is over.
The attack on Gulnahan commences and ends on a good note for ZAFT. Shinn displays more childish behavior in the briefing room that really only serves to embarrass him. One thing is to clash with Athrun privately, but Shinn chooses to do it in front of Lunamaria, Rey and a bunch of other pilots. I've always wondered why the Impulse Gundam never launches in combined form, and this episode finally gives a decent excuse as to why. Shinn flies through a pretty treacherous course to get to the Lohengrin. Not surprisingly, the imposing mobile armor Gerzu-Geh isn't very tough and is easily defeated by Athrun. Fukuda seems to love his gory deaths and displays it in this episode. You can see Shinn's combat knife actually cut into the head of a Dagger L pilot. When the base explodes, you can see someone get crushed by falling debris. It's strange then that when Athrun watches the execution of several soldiers in town there's no blood when they're shot in the back of the head. Shinn and Athrun pat each other on the back at the end of the episode, so hopefully Shinn is finally starting to accept Athrun and will put an end to his childish behavior.
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
We actually get to see the Impulse's daggers! Yayness. And yes, the course through that canyon thing was INDEED VERY treacherous. Shinn scraped the walls of it several times!

Gundam SEED DESTINY PHASE 17: A Warrior's Qualifications review
(taken from MAHQ.net because I was too busy and lazy to post one myself)
The Archangel lies submerged in the territorial waters of the Kingdom of Scandinavia. A buoy is sent to the surface to receive news broadcasts from around the world. Although there is much news about the problems with Eurasia, there is almost nothing about the war with ZAFT. Watching the news on the bridge, Andy wishes it was more uplifting, and Murrue tells him that a white dolphin gave birth recently. A video feed comes in of one of Meer's concerts, and Cagalli asks everyone if they're okay with this farce. Andy says he'd like to do something about it, but they can't give away their position without more information. Murrue thinks that Gilbert acted with restraint when the war began and would like to align with ZAFT, but Kira doesn't approve of that. With the assassination attempt on Lacus and the appearance of Meer, he doesn't trust Gilbert. Cagalli says that Athrun believed in him and she wishes he were here. Elsewhere, the Minerva sails into the Arabian peninsula and arrives at ZAFT's Mahamul base. In the mobile suit hangar, Vino and Yolant discuss the latest Lacus concert. They like how she sings now, along with her bigger breasts and more revealing dresses. Athrun appears in the middle of their conversation to get the Saviour Gundam's maintenance log. After Athrun walks away, Yolant says he's lucky to have Lacus as a fiance and asks Vino if he wants to unplug some of the Saviour Gundam's cables, and Athrun shouts out that he heard everything they were talking about. Lunamaria tells Shinn that he should stop staring at Athrun and just talk to him. Athrun, Talia and Arthur disembark and meet with base commander Joachim Radul. Joachim's soldiers all whisper to each other at the mention of Athrun's name, and Joachim offers them coffee. Shinn walks down a corridor with Lunamaria and Rey. Lunamaria says she understands Shinn's anger because Athrun left ZAFT and was now suddenly in FAITH and a superior officer. She tells Shinn he's acting like a child, and he tells her she's annoying and storms off.
In a conference room Radul shows Athrun, Talia and Arthur the current situation on the ground. He explains that they can't recklessly attack the Suez, but the situation is difficult. He says the best way to attack Suez would be an orbital drop operation, but the Council won't approve it. Talia thinks that's because of Gilbert's declaration that ZAFT has no territorial ambitions on Earth. Radul agrees with that, but he thinks that allowing the Alliance to do as they wish now will cause problems later. He explains that the Alliance is currently in the Suez area and would like to be able to attack ZAFT's bases in Mahamul and Gibraltar, but they are unable to because of rebel attacks and a thin supply line to the Suez base. He goes on to say that the Alliance has seized a power plant in the Gulnahan ravine to help supply Suez. Athrun examines the map and says that if they cut off the Suez base they can move in and take it out. Radul agrees with that assessment, but he says the Alliance has considered that as well. He explains that the path to Suez runs through a ravine that is defended by the mobile armor Gerzu-Geh and a Lohengrin cannon. The Mahamul base previously sent out a force consisting of land battleships, BuCUEs, GAZuOOTs and GINN OCHER Types, but they were all destroyed by the Lohengrin cannon. However, he thinks things might progress differently this time if the Minerva joins their forces in the next attack. Lunamaria takes a shower and talks with Meyrin about Shinn and Athrun. Meyrin tries on Lunamaria's skirt and is annoyed that it's too small for her. Shinn stands alone on an observation deck and is joined by Athrun. Shinn asks Athrun if it's okay for him to be outside, and Athrun comments that Shinn can't hold a conversation without starting a fight. Athrun asks Shinn if it bothers him so much that he came back. Athrun says Shinn must view it as unreasonable, and Shinn says it is indeed unreasonable. Athrun asks Shinn about his family, and Shinn says they were murdered by the Athha family. Athrun thinks about the deaths of his mother and Nicol, and he says that everyone who has cried and felt weak wanted power to make a difference. Athrun tells Shinn to remember that when he uses power he becomes the one who makes others cry. He says that if Shinn forgets that he'll just be a reckless destroyer of things. He tells Shinn that if he can remember that he truly is an excellent pilot, but if not he's an idiot.
Well, the Minerva arrives at ZAFT's Mahamul base, but it's not all smiles on the ship. Shinn has ignored Athrun since the end of the last episode, and Athrun attempts to make amends. While Shinn is indeed a good pilot, he needs to let go of the strange ideas he has about Orb and his severe hatred for anyone even slightly related to Orb. Lunamaria continues to fawn over Athrun, and she seems to be in competition with her sister Meyrin. The next episode looks like it will put the Minerva against another giant mobile armor, as well as a Lohengrin cannon just for extra fun. On the Archangel front, everyone finally finds out about Meer and lose trust in Gilbert. I'm surprised that the real Lacus doesn't seem to be bothered by the idea of someone impersonating her. Vino and Yolant are fans of the new and improved Lacus, and it's not surprising given how much breast bouncing the animators crammed into Meer's performance. Their comments about Lacus being Athrun's fiance suggest that it's not public knowledge that Patrick Zala ended their engagement after branding Lacus a traitor.

NTU Open Invitational Shoot 2005 @ Yishun SAFRA Indoor Air Weapons Range
Today was the day of the Open Shoto thing for our team, consisting mostly of Year 2s and Pei Fang, the Year 1 female rifle shooter chosen to participate in this. I arrived in school at 0716 and headed down to the range to find that preparations had already been made. Mai, Jia Ying, Mavis and Yin Cheng were already there. So we helped the team load up their rifles and pistols and jackets and stuff up the bus before we embarked on our journye to Yishun SAFRA.
I've only been there once about 3 years back for rock-wall climbing, during a Scouting activity and this was the first time I had entered an air weapons range, under competition conditions some more. The atmosphere was definitely different from that in VJC, plus the range here was 10m, not the 20m VJC one. Didn't really know anybody, being a newbie and all. And all the other Year 1 (so called) "support crew" left after a while to play pool, while I stayed through the ENTIRE thing, watching the Air Rifle Male, Female, then Air Pistol Male, Female categories, falling asleep around 6 times and listening again and again to my 11-track MP3 Player. Mai and Co. left at 1300 hours, leaving me as the only support crew around.
It was pretty tense I guess, one of my seniors was so jittery that he couldn't put on the jacket (only rifle shooters need it) Saw how people shot and went through their routines, looks like I'll have to do those too, to be good. But being in that one palce for so long was boring, even as I tried to pick up tips. I don't have nothing much to say, but our teams got 4th (AR Male), 6th (AR Female) and 2nd (AP - Air Pistol Male) respectively. I don't know about the AP Female resutls beacuse mos of the team boarded the bus before the results were posted and didn;t go down to see them. And that was if we did not count NTU and NUS (National University of Singapore) teams in, otherwise it would be 5th, 7th and 4th respectively.
Pei Fang did pretty good for her first time at a competiton, she shot 348/400, which is like, 87%. Cool. I must buck up...
So after the whole thing ended at around 1700 hours, I went back home, and later went out for dinner at Waraku again. I don't mind eating Japanese food again though :P. Finished at around 2030, and had my Dad send me to Stephanie's house for an Inante gathering. They played Mahjong and stuff which i desperately tried to learn, but ended up watching Treasure Planet (part of it) with Carey.
And that pretty much ended my day, like, now. Still have so much work to do. And still want to go out. And there's the results shit. And damn those mosquitoes!
Aargh. I'm anti-social. My world is falling apart.

A Friday Unlike No Other.
Why? Because everything ended pretty early, I left school at 1845 (more than 2 hours after Library taskgroup!) because I was like, stoning (didn't know I could stone for so long :P). Dad took me out to one of the Waraku chain restaurants for soem Japanese food, had beef rice and sashimi which I haven't had for a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time! Yayness! Hehe. I don't really like my Dad but oh well... I can be easily bribed over. LOL :P Nah, joking.
Somehow I collapsed on my bed at 2200 hours, only to wake up at 2330 hours. I missed 95% of Episode 4 of Last Exile! Damnit. I better make sure I can catch next Wednesday's episode no matter what, whether I stay in VJC or not. :) It's just so cool. Kiddy Grade was nice too, the plot is really thickening now. :)
Hmm, then there's the Math Common Test results to worry about. All the other classes seem to have gotten it but not mine. My flickmates from Inante all seem to have got good marks, what, 46/55, 47/55 and stuff. And I know I'm going to fail. *sighs* If I stay on, my Maths tutor will probably kill me and squeeze me like a fly or something. Shit.
SHIT!
Oh, and that NTU shoot tomorrow, gotta hit school by 0715 hours. Oh well... maybe I shouldn;t have volunteered to go but... what's done is done.

Good shooting! *pats self on back* :D
I managed to survive through yet another day of lessons. Still "failed" the VJC 2.4 km run standard of 12 minutes and 30 seconds. I hit 12 minutes and 54 seconds, but at least it was better than the 13 minutes and 14 seconds I had last week. Now if I can keep this up...
I say 'failed" because VJC sets its standards at "Silver Award" level, but that is also what I'm aiming for so I need to buck up. And there were things I wanted to blog about yesterday but forgot to do so. I thought of it earlier this morning but I forgot about it again. Anyway, after lessons again was AR training!
We were pretty slack today and some of the Year Ones (I shall not say who, but mostly rifle shooters) decided to leave early, for reasons unknown I guess. I stayed back with another Rifler to finish up (most of) the training regimen, including a unprecendented 40-shot grouping! I did pretty well today, punched a nice hole in the card today which means my shots are getting closer together. But there were still 7 stray shots which probably happened when I was too eager to let off the shot despite reaching my aiming time limit. Hopefully I can maintain at least this standard...
Oh, I remember now. One of the Year One riflers was selected to join the senior team in the NTU (Nanyang Technological University) Shoot on Saturday! Probably because the Year Two females had only two rifle shooters and needed one more, but it proves that she was the best (among the girls) so she was selected. Nice. Which probably also means that the rest of us must buck up if we stay in VJC. I think I'll be going down to Yishun SAFRA (ok, I'm not too sure what SAFRA stands for and I'm too lazy to check it out) on Saturday, accompanying the team, just to take a look at what shooting competitions are like (despite the fact that they say it'll be boring to watch).
Watched PHASE-18 today as well. Quite a cool episode. Reviews up soon if I remember. :) Tag me so I remember! LOL. :). That's all for now though, goodbye!
(And the bloody O's...)
Nice. Gym Day
Lessons came and went, with me feeling the usual left-out and inferior. I am not doing enough but I don't know just what to do. And I seem to be shrinking back from running for House Committee.. No one seems to want to support me or know my intentions despite the fact that I've been hinting at it? And I don't know how to be funky...whatever that is.
Anyway today the Year 2s had to train for a competition this coming Saturday so we Year 1s went to the VJC Gym to do some strength training. This was the first time in my life that I have actually stepped into a gym, and used it! We did all those exercises like what, erm, bench presses and stuff, and I kinda realised that my upper body strength isn't that wonderful (I think I knew it quite a while ago :P) although I CAN do chin-ups...about 7 now (used to be better, shit!) So yeah, and after that we headed to the corridor above the hall to use the exercise bikes (whatever for?), slacking and basically chit-chatting. Somehow it became 1800 hours in the blink of an eye, and then someone suggested we play Captain's Ball (without Mr Chow :P) and that we did. Was on the winning team :) and yes, I know everyone tried their best and enjoyed themselves during "PT". :) (Physical Training)
I was so darned tired that I hit the sack after dinner at 2100 hours, only to be woken up by my father at 2320 hours. That was good, for I caught the last 10 minutes of The Last Exile and did not miss Kiddy Grade! Yay! Feel bad about not watching the whole episode (Last Exile) but luckily I knew the gist of it, ahh I just wanted to see how Mullin Shetland (that his name?) actually saved Lavie and Claus. I thought the art was weird for Last Exile but now I'm beginning to like the characters, based on their values, personalities, and even the artwork! Guess I can appreciate Lavie and Claus more. :) Ooh, and the Silvana... can't wait to see it again.
:) Hmm, and the results of the 'O' Level results seems have been confirmed, on 28th of February, a Monday. *sigh* Oh god, I dread that day...REALLY.

Na-na-na-na-na...
I'm feeling kinda bored here. Yet another boring day of lessons and all. The Maths lecturer Mr. Ho says that the test was supposed to be a MORALE BOOSTER, looks like I'm in deep shit.
Recruitment for House Committee members is on, and I'm wondering whether I should really join it. Jessica (a retainee) says that to be in the HouseCom, you have to be crazy and funky. I can be crazy, but funky? I doubt so...
Anyway my classmates and I visited Nelson, our classmate today who fractured his leg bone (tibia?) during soccer practice. Mr Chow went along with us. We brought fruits and stuff, and went up to visit him, and all of us just like, chatted. He is indeed a man of few words... but he thanked us for coming through SMS (short-messaging service) moments after we left.
That's about it, and I realised that I forgot to review PHASE-17. Remind me to do that and PHASE-18 on Sunday...
Oh, and the release of the 'O' Level results are really drawing near... I seriously hope I don't do badly.

KABOOM!
I bombed the freakin' Math Test. If I can get 20% I'll be praying my thanks. *sighs* It was okay until the middle actually, if only I studied more. But what's the use of worrying? I tell myself and other people that I must change but yet I don't and instead get worse. Oh well.
"If you cannot solve a problem, then don't worry about it."
-quoted from my GP (General Paper) tutor who quoted from the Dalai Lama
My GP tutor knows soooo much! About everything and anything under the sun. Maybe that's why he teachers GP. GP seems to be the onyl lesson I actually pay attention to while the other people are bored by it...
On a happier note, Audrey (Inante-ian!) and I managed to trick Santosh Kumar (President of 21st Students' Council[SC] ) into believing that we were siblings with Kenny (Year 5, 18th SC) !!!! Hehehehehe... It's strange how he fails to realise that we're tricking him, even though i thought we kinda gave the game away through our expressions. Kenny's says he's like that, but gee... he feels dense. LOL. No offense meant, Santosh, if you ever come across this! :D *grins*
But he's pretty knowledgeable and stuff too, perhaps it's his other, better qualities that made him President of SC...

Freakin' hell Math Common Test
I have been playing the whole day and not studied for it. And I don't understand half of what is taught so far. Go me, looks like I will fail with crashing shades tomorrow.
Finally, SLV's over!
The majority of us met in school first before heading to the centre (Henderson Student Care Centre) to paint the mural. It took us approximately 6 hours, from 0830 hours to around 1400 hours to paint the mural, which ended up pretty nice! Nice, colourful, and gay. All of us put in our best efforts and I would like to thank and congratulate every one, especially the people who provided logistics support and stuff. :)
But yes, it's finally over and I've got paint stains on my hands and all. Who cares? I was basically flitting around from place to place, painting, washing brushes, changing the water and avoiding waterbombs from the inconsiderate residents upstairs. Took a lift back to school together with 3 other classmates, in our assistant CT's (Civics tutor, Madam Lau) car after fixing a mistake that we spotted as the 5 of us (as abovementioned) returned to take pictures.
After that, I returned home, only to discover that my flick (some) was meeting at 1700 hours at Tampines MRT Station to go to a Year 5's house (they are 4 years older than us) for dinner. I discovered that at 1650 and promptly rushed down there...reaching the place at 1728 hours. :)
We reached his home, fooled around on his PC, ate some finger food, and got generous lickings from his dog. Dinner was steamboat, which was pretty okay I guess, yes. After dinner some of them played mahjong which I didn't know how to play. We did play some card games too and stuff, while watching Spirited Away (me for the 2nd time). The Year 5s taught Elaine (one of my flickmates) how to play mahjong while anti-social me didn't learn and stuff, so I was fooling around on the PC as usual.
Somehow we managed to stone and do stuff until 0100 hours plus (today, Sunday!) and I reached home at 0130 hours before starting to blog now.
Tomorrow's going to be a hectic day so I'm going to sleep soon...

Kids, oh Kids. And JTS.
(REBLOG sicne the stupid connection broke down) (Will be in point form since I have no patience. :P)
School breezed through easy. Tried to stay awake during lectures and all. Left school at 1430 hours for SLV/CIP at childcare centre in name of Singapore Children's Society. Do mural design and entertain kids. Was part of group that entertained kids. Acted random and crazy and all while we played games and danced (even the VJC mass-dance!) I danced to "Livin' la Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin together with a broom too. :) Invoked childhood memories when we played 'Ice and Water' (modified catching game where catcher 'freezes' targets who can be 'melted' by none catchers). Mural team did good.
Helped kids with homework, watched them play carrom later on. (damned smooth board... *salivates*) Taught a kid about chlorine, hoped he understood. Wish that the children will understand what we (or maybe just me sicne my methods were ineffective?) taught them and not end up always searching for quick answers like me :P And there's the actual mural to paint tomorrow.
Headed to Fish and Co. (opposite Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station) after SLV ended at 1800 hours. Headed in different groups. We were having JTS (Junior Treat Senior) there, and so were 05S46 and 04S46. Ordered grilled salmon, took long time, was pissed, made crude jokes about salmon not being caught yet. One senior got her baked salmon later though...
Took some photos, and at the same time, seniros went to dedicate songs. Fish and Co's resident singer/guitarist came up to the second floor where we were eating, and cajoeld some of our seniors to sing. They were good, and we clapped and cheered, who cares about the rest of the restaurant patrons? :P:P Was basically stoning because no one talked to me. Did not reveal self to mortal, did not give or receive anything. Felt that own preparations fo gifts were inadequate (I did it this morning) so did not give. Perhaps on Monday...
Since there's a great endeavour tomorrow to paint the mural I might then head off to sleep so see you all peeps!

Holy Cow...
For the very first time in history, I actually SLEPT THROUGH A LECTURE. Not those "struggle to stay awake but keeping falling asleep" kind, but I really slept. It was during Math Lecture, and the teacher had finished teacher Sigma Notation. She gave us a break, and I fell asleep...
And asleep...
I woke up to the sound of the lecture theatre being very noisy, and everyone leaving! So I totally missed out on the part of Geometric Progressions, which isn't good. And the thing is, no one actually bothered to wake me up! *sighs* I never woke my sleepy friends up during lectures (only once in a while) but after today, I shall endeavour to wake them up, lest they suffer the same fate as I. Hopefully I get treated the same way...
And the day went by, and on to AR training. I totally screwed up my shots today. TOTALLY. The groupings were wide and I had a few scattered shots (not too far away, thankfully :) ) Felt that my non-existent skills degraded even more, and the last 10+ shots were rushed because everybody was leaving (I was the latest to arrive so I started late). I was like, load, aim, shoot, load, aim, shoot. Didn't really care and fired off all my shots towardst he end which also contributed to my shitty results. Gah. I can't train on Saturday because of CIP/SLV, looks like I'll have to buck up again next Wednesday...
That's all for now, off to play and watch SEED DESTINY 17. To hell with homework! :P

Hmm, hell begins.
Woke up at 0335 hours and realised to my horror that I fell asleep WITHOUT doing the murals. Spent the next three hours rushing, completing 2 by 0630 and a bit more in school before the Student Council Nominee's Q&A session and the Beijing Opera we had to watch.
Finished the rest in between the breaks we had in class. *sighs* Realised that everybody in class is so hardworking, Math Common Test drawing near and I still don't understand some of the topics taught. I'm gonna get a single-digit score for the test (0 is a single digit, yes?)
School kinda breezed through, with yet another entertaining lecture by Mr Chad Goh (I feel asleep during some parts though, too damned tired). And then I rushed for Library duty, and make-up Task Group session. Shifted newspapers here and there, yeahm nothing much.
Didn't get to complete my 30-shot groupings for AR today, only managed one shot which wasn't dead centre. It was skewed towards the right (from blank side, we shoot on blank side to train groupings first), but if viewed from the side with the target rings my shot still lay within the black circle, although it was close to getting out.
We had PT which involved running, where I had stitches AGAIN. What's it with me and stitches? I seem to have them nowadays. Met my friend Liang Hong while running, he told me to "run at a slower pace and control your breathing". Hmmm, I should take note of that. Played captain's ball later on, mixed (seniors, juniors, males, females, all :) ) Even our teacher-in-charge Mr Chow joined in! Although he kinda played rough and cheated, hehehehehe.
Hmm, so I'm pretty beat now and need to cut my toenails...
See ya all, will blog again tomorrow if my energy permits it. :D

Oh no... Oh no no no...
What a busy day today. I actually could go home at 1500 hours today but in the end I had to stay till around 1900 hours because of the discussion about our class CIP (Community Involvement Programme), or SLV (Service Leadership Venture) as they call it.
Ended up having to colour the draft designs for our mural. Oh well, I shouldn't complain since I haven't been contributing much to the discussions. And with each passing day I feel more and more strongly that I should not (perhaps cannot?) stay in VJC. Everybody's just so good, and all, and I'm the slacker who doesn't do homework and stuff. I get lost during all my lectures and tutorials.
And the people around me suddenly harbour dreams that I never dreamt of having. PSC (Public Service Comission) scholarships, going to France, taking Special Papers (higher-level papers that give you more credit and looks better on your resumé) and all. Everybody is scaring me. Should I run for House Committee (or Captain?) if I stay? Should I stay? but I'm not that sociable and good with people, and I'm more crude in my ways of expressiing myself.
I feel so bad all of a sudden...

Yet another (Valentine's) Day...
Another normal day for me. Although after morning assembly they played the Friendship Dance music and encouraged us to do the Friendship Dance. I think 95% of the hall became empty 5 seconds after the song started playing, lol. The remaining 4.9% did the dance, while 0.1% of us Library Councillors had our meeting! :P
And then it was the regular lectures/tutorial shit. I did get Valentine's Day gifts, but from people who probably gave something to everyone in class, so that doesn't count. Still, I wasn;t really expecting anything today. The chocoloates I got melted, and got crushed in my bag. Luckily there weren't any smears or anything, otherwise all my notes, and whatever stuff would become VERY VERY messy...
Then came Math tutorial, where I think the teacher discovered that I copied my assignment from some other person. We had instructions to see her but none of us went to do so. :P Oh well. In any case, I think I'll tell her that I didn't know how to do that question so I copied, and I thought that portion was correct. Hopefully the story sticks.
And I brought a bouquet of flowers home because Jia Ying got it from some guy, and couldn't bring it along for her date with her boyfriend (for obvious reasons) so her bouquet is sitting in my room. I seriously pray that it doesn't wilt so fast...
And that's about it I guess.
EDIT at 2255 hours: Did I mention that I didn't give anything to anybody at all?

Gundam SEED DESTINY PHASE 16: Deathmatch In The Indian Ocean review
Took the SEED-Fansubs fansubbed version this time because AK-AonE's fansub took too long to come out. And I found out that they had the lyrics to the rapping part of PRIDE! *cheers*
Okay, enough trash talk. Lets start the review proper.
PHASE-16 starts with the John Paul Jones issuing a battle alert. We see the three "baddie Gundams" (missing for 10 whole episodes already!) in the hangar, as well as a purple custom Windam being readied for combat.
On the bridge, Neo makes a call to the commander of a still under-construction base (named the Earth Alliance Forces Indian Ocean Frontline Base) asking him to launch all his Windams to deal with the Minerva and the Nyiragongo. Apparently that base was set up to deal with ZAFT's Carpentaria base, so the commander refused to release his Windams. Neo offers to leave the Gaia as base defence, and makes the order official, so the commander had no choice but to launch them in the end, as slave workers look on.
Back on the ship, Stellar is sad that she cannot launch and join in the battle (she looks so cute! :P) because the Gaia cannot launch or swim. Sting consoles her, almost like a big brother and tells her to look at the ocean since she likes to do so. Neo strides into the hangar at this moment and expresses his disappointment at not being able to fight alongside Stellar too. Stellar rushes over to Neo, who tells her that he entrusts the base to her. She reluctantly agrees, and the Chaos and Abyss launch moments later followed by Neo's custom purple Windam.
Another clue here which seems to point to Neo being Mwu: When Neo launches, he says the exact same thing as Mwu did when he sortied in the Strike, i.e. "Neo Lorrnoke, Windam, teruzo!" (teruzo = launching) In SEED, Mwu said "Fraga, Strike, teruzo!" It's a little too coincidental. Anyway, getting on, Abyss transforms into underwater mode while Chaos, Neo's Windam and the rest of the Windams head off towards the ZAFT ships.
Minerva detects them on radar, and Talia proceeds to scramble the Impulse in response. Athrun also launches, and Talia asks him to take command of the mobile suits after launch. Sting decides to take on the new mobile suit and challenges Athrun in his Saviour while Neo went for the "more familiar one", or rather, the Impulse. Shinn isn't too impressed by the Windams he encounters and easily destroys them all until he meets Neo, who dodges his shots by flying and hiding in the clouds. Neo dodges a beam saber attack from Shinn as well.
Sting, on the other hand, is also frustrated because Athrun was simply too good for him. Talia is puzzled as to where the mobile suits came from, and the Nyiragongo reports no ships detected. Athrun also reports that he couldn't see anything from the air. Suddenly, the Abyss is picked up on sonar. The Nyiragongo launches three GOOhNs to intercept, and they horribly fail in their operations. Rey and Lunamaria launch and head underwater, switching their beam rifles for bazookas. The two ZAKUs fight underwater with the Abyss to no avail, and Lunamaria's ZAKU actually gets damaged as well.
As Shinn flies closer to the mainland, he gets flanked and cornered by the Windams, but he manages to get past the cordon. Stellar spots Neo from land, and also the Impulse. She transforms to dog-mode, and heads for the Impulse, knocking him into the water. The Impulse and Gaia draw their beam sabers and begin to fight, even as Athrun flies about in the air attacking and defending himself from Sting's and Neo's attacks. Athrun tells Shinn to retreat but his orders were disregarded. In fact, Shinn actually tells Athrun to shut up.
Underwater, our sidekick duo Rey and Lunamaria are still fighting the Abyss. On land, the base commander decides to deploy tanks and anti-aircraft guns against the Impulse (as if those would work). This leads to the discovery of the base by Shinn, who notices the slave workers escaping from the base. The base guards chase and gun down the slaves, and this makes Shinn angry. He goes on a rampage and attacks the base, even while Neo calls for a retreat.
Auel is displeased with this and insults Neo. Neo returns the jab by saying that Auel did not get any big kills himself. This causes Auel to head for the Nyiragongo. He attacks it, and sinks it, laughing madly. On land, the slave workers are grateful to the Impulse for rescuing them, while Athrun, flying by in the Saviour, orders Shinn to stop since the Earth Alliance there has lost the ability to fight.
Back on the Minerva, Athrun slaps Shinn for disregarding orders. Shinn argues back, saying that the people were rescued and were grateful for his actions, which earns him another slap from Athrun. Athrun tells him that war is not about being a hero, and if one has the power he must understand how to utilise it. Talia scowls to herself on the bridge while everyone else in the hangar is surprised at this transpiration of events.
So, after 10 whole episodes we see the baddies at work again. And retreating once again. I was damned right that the Nyiragongo served as cannon fodder. But why launch GOOhNs when there are better suits like the ZnO and the Ash to use? Strange. And we see that Shinn isn't too friendly with Athrun, although I am wondering if Athrun was right to slap Shinn? I mean, Shinn did good in rescuing the civilians... despite the fact that the civilians could have escaped in the chaos that already ensued but at least he gave them a helping hand. The main point was that he disobeyed orders I think, perhaps he could have asked Athrun if he could destroy the base or something... Hmm. We shall wait for PHASE 17 then.
Gundam SEED DESTINY -EDITED- review
This was aired in Japan on the 29th of January. Basically a clip show, it recaps the events in SEED DESTINY leading up to episode 14-15. I got the fansub from AKingdom-AonE, which added a short portion about the Minerva, Impulse, Chaos, Gaia, Abyss and the ZAKUs used by Rey and Lunamaria.
There's nothing much to review about this since it is a clip show. Only thing was the narrator was the voice actor for Sai Argyle in Gundam SEED (same voice I hear). And that small extra part that AK-AonE added. Oh, and it doesn't count as an episode, so we won't be shortchanged of one episode (like it was in SEED, actually there were only 48 episodes (?) due to two clip shows) which means more action for us! Yay!

Excursion: 1 guy 3 girls
Went out at 1030 hours today to meet Rou Hua, Yujun-chan (:P) and Esther (All I am meeting for the first time other than Rou Hua), supposedly at 1130 hours to catch Constantine. It somehow dragged to 1200 and all of us finally met up and entered the cinema just as the movie started at 1230 hours (We watched it at Lido at Shaw House)
The girls were a little confused by its storyline but I think it was okay. Plotwise, actionwise, pretty okay. I'm not in the mood to review it or anything so there you go. Oh, by the way, if you are a very religious Christian/Catholic I suggest you DO NOT watch Constantine at all. I wasn't being very sociable and didn't really talk to the girls (sorry!) and stuff, yeah. After the movie, they went to Kinokuniya to take a look at (Japanese) books and magazines and stuff. Rou Hua REALLY is a Japan otaku lol, crazy about all things Japanese.
And Esther-san actually went up, and struck up a conversation with a 9 year-old Japanese girl. Interesting. I was just hanging around behind, marveling at comics, Gundam SEED stuff and all, yeah, and still being anti-social. Saw the Hellblazer comics (where the character Constantine came from) being sold, damned cool. *makes mental note to visit Kinokuniya @ Ngee Ann City? again sometime*
After that, went home, and went out again to have dinner with my maternal grandmother and cousins AT THE SAME RESTAURANT WHERE I HAD DINNER WITH MY PATERNAL GRANDMOTHER ON THURSDAY NIGHT! So everything was like, deja vu...
But my cousins were around and we were joking throughout dinner so it was okay. After that we went to (maternal) grandmother's house, sat around for a while before heading off for home. So here I am now blogging. And signing off. *sighs* School's starting AGAIN... darned sick of it ALREADY.
EDIT at 0555 hours: Mos Burger's Ebi Rice Burger tastes pretty good... :)

Cross Country!
We had our annual Cross-Country today! A grand total of I think 5.2 kilometres for us boys. I got in at 555th position (nice number yes?) and I think I took around 35 minutes (forgot to stop the timer). This reflects how lousy my fitness level has become, although I must admit I don't train for runs. :P We were supposed to represent our House, and class and CCA (for some) to run, and prizes were given out. So all of us people from Draco had this red furry thingy one a wire to use as an identity. I got one and another from a senior who was holding some extras, and stuck them on the rim of my spectacles in so-called 'dragon horns'. Only one person actually realised what it was supposed to mean. The others thought I was like, damned gay. :P
As we started running, (we ran after the girls), I heard girls laughing when they saw me. :D Yay! Then the stupid stitch came around halfway into the run. This was better than training where I stitched within a few seconds of running. But still, it hurts, and I struggled till about 4/5 of the route before walking...(it even hurt while walking) before dashing the last 300 metres back to school to be greeted by laughter again. :) Even the prinicipal laughed when she saw me :D
Then we gathered in the hall for prize-giving. There were three lucky draws, with prizes like bags, umbrellas, vouchers, windbreakers + track pants and badminton rackets and movie tickets and stuff. I wasn't really listening until I heard the words "guy" and "5" three times.
LOL. And then I realised I got a $50 Jean Yip voucher. Which was totally useless since I doubt I would go to a beauty salon. Furthermore, there needed to be a minimum purchase of $200 before the 'voucher' could be utilised. So I went up on stage, got the voucher (while wearing my 'horns' still), and then I heard one of the emcees say... "this guy is from... Draco..." So I did this totally random thing, where I borrowed the emcee's microphone, and said "Draco rocks! WOOOOOO!!!!" Didn't get too much response from my housemates as I bounced off the stage, but I think I can consider myself running for House Captain already. Hehe. Or at least, the House Committee.
Jean Yip (Sorry, no offense here) is the total antithesis of her company, a beauty salon. She isn't THAT pretty, neither is she very slim. Yeah, no offense meant though, just a reflection of mine, judging a book by its cover. So they say her daughter studies in VJC too...
After everything ended, we mass-danced (TWICE!) afterwhich I rushed to Dunman High with a friend using SBS (Singapore Bus Services, aka TransitExpress?) Service 31 and switching to Service 158. That route wasn't very fast and IMHO we should have taken CSS (City Shuttle Serivces) Service 608 but my damned friend refused to take it for he thought it was slow.
Oh well, whatever. We reached Dunman High, and I happily joined in mass-dancing, cheering, and singing the DHS and VJC school song with my fellow Dunmanians. Saw some teachers, had lunch, then went home and zonked out. :)
So that's it for today. I thinK VJC will remember me for quite a while now as that 'damned gay dragon'? :P GIMME A HELL YEAH! WOOHOO!

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb (D+1, After Lunar New Year)
Hmm, so the celebrations came and went. I visited my relatives' home, collected ang baos (red packets for the uninitiated), ate some stuff (tried to eat as little as I could) and yeah, met those people whom I only see once a year.
It's kinda becoming routine. Not that I care about how much I collect from my ang baos though, but... hmm... at least I spend time with my cousins and all. :D Yayness.
Just had another dinner with my paternal grandmother, uncles and aunties. Since I was the only kid at the table, the conversation naturally turned onto me. About why I'm so short, so small-sized, must eat more, my bad sleeping habits, why I don't play golf, other people who play golf, yadda yadda yadda. All this happened when my father was present. That's why I hate eating with him around my other relatives. I get discredited.
So darned angry, I felt like exploding on the spot and making a scene at the restaurant. Luckily I didn't. Whew. Go me. Looks like I'll post SEED DESTINY -EDITED- and PHASE 16 reviews soon though. :D Whooppee!

D -1 to Chinese New Year aka Chinese New Year's Eve
Okay, so today we went to school, sat through 1+ hours of performance (not too bad, really, I really liked everything :) and then we mass-danced! Looks like the basic dances (I regard Neutron Dance, Whiney Whiney, and I Want You as basic) I still am not very familiar especially I Want You> Damn, going to embarrass myself back in Dunman High on Friday... As for the Tribal Dance I managed to complete some of the moves.
Then the bunch of us DHS Victorians (or rather, VJCians) went back to Dunman High. I realised I had to buy medicine for my Mom halfway along the trip, and dropped off before walking to Parkway Parade to get it (Bus 608 doesn't drop there, I realised that on the bus :P). And I had to wait 10 minutes for the pharmacist to arrive. She told me that the medicine I requested for could only be bought by persons above 18, but she exempted me from it just that one time. Whew.
I then made my way back to Dunman High, where I saw Mrs Foo and Ms Ng (吴老师), teachers whom I knew and taught me once before (Ms Ng did, too bad she didn't teach me in Secondary 3 and 4 :'( ). Basically all the teachers had left too, and so did the students, since they had a half-day. So I kinda stoned around before returning home at 1213 hours (around there).
And then came the reunion dinner! Woohoo! We had steamboat (home-made... nice) and yeah, food was aplenty. I ran foul of my seafood ban, but my Chinese physician told me I could eat, as long as I took her medicine (Oops... I have been pouring some away :P). Tomorrow's gonna be the start of Chinese New Year... yay! Red Packets (ang pow) and all, whatever. :) I wanna spend time with my cousins, rehehehehe.
And then there's homework to worry about still. :P And I must not eat too much during Chinese New Year lest I suddenly die during Cross Country on Friday (afterwhich I'll return to DHS and embarrass myself when I don't know the dance moves, hehehehehe).
For now I shall just enjoy myself. :D Yes.

Draco! Draco! Draco!
The results of the boys' team finals has finally been revealed. DRACO WON PEGASUS 2-0! *Cheers* Good job guys! I went down there to support the team after Library taskgroup (sorry Shi Qing, couldn't make it to the hospital to visit you because I eneded Library late!! *bows* 御免なさい!!) [gomen nasai, sorry!]
So anyway, we won and I'm happy. Although I messed up Chemistry practical in the morning (has anybody adjusted their readings by 6.00 cubic centimetres before for a titration? :P), but still I'm happy! Plus Chinese New Year's coming, I'm in a holiday mood now. :P
So, like, there's this very enthusiastic class (I think 05S27?) from Draco that did most of the cheering, a few of my classmates and I were just down watchign and cheering too. When the match finished, the team and I scoured the field for one dog-tag which one of them supposedly lost. We didn't find it though.
The House Master (Mr Peter Wee) played as goalkeeper, and treated the team to 100-Plus after the match. They did a 'yam seng' (local Singaporean way of toasting). I joined in without anything. When Mr. Wee noticed that I didn't have any bottle to toast with, he put my hand on his, and all of us toasted together. :) Nice. And then he took a gulp, gave it to me, I took a gulp too, gave it back, he took another gulp and passed the bottle to me. I felt kinda awkward accepting it because I was not really leading the cheers, just doing my part cheering the team on Furthermore, he needed 100-Plus more than me. But oh well... He's a nice teacher anyways. :) All of the House Masters seem very passionate about their Houses (cue Mr Chow too :P)
Then I went home, had dinner, and watched the Monday night movie, Daylight. It's a REALLY old title and I've seen it at least 4 times already. It stars Sylvester Stallone, Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn in Lord Of The Rings trilogy) and some other minor actors whom I've never (and still never) heard of. It's about a group of people who are trapped in a tunnel which collapses, and how they find their way out. This movie rocks because the characters are fleshed out very very vividly. For example, we have this overbearing company executive who at first thinks of only himself, but later warms up and helps everyone else. ("I demand to have a part in every decision-making process!!) The death sequences are all very sad...
The reason why I say it's old is because in the last few minutes of the show, the Twin Towers (aka World Trade Centre) of New York can still be seen. Probably it was such an old tape that it cause transmission problems this time round. At one moment there wasn't sound and the images were pixellated. And they skipped off a good 5-minute chunk of the ending too. It's too old...
So... holiday mood now! Happy Chinese New Year! Bye for now... :)

Another day passes by...
And I once again fear the day that the 'O' Level results are being released. I fear I'll let down my parents, and move away from the friends that I've made so far, especially people from Inante! *sobs*
But yes, I have to move on if it happens...
So today I had Japanese class again, and C-Math tuition again. I started sleeping only in the last half hour! Good improvement, heh. And I came home and started slacking and still am, bloody hell I am not doing my homework.
Heh.
Signing off.

Blog 2 of 2
Okay! I'm back! Had AR training yet again, and I have a feeling my groupings are getting better. Yay! lol. The team went to eat at Burger King today and I rushed home after that to avoid being scolded by my mother. I zonked out from 1500 to 1700 hours, waking up to play computer games. :P
Then came dinner with my (dysfunctional?) family. I was, and still am depressed for no apparent reason. Despite the fact that we went over to Chinatown to see the Chinese New Year lights and to look at the crowds, I am still...not that cheered up. Argh, oh well...
EDIT at 2220 hours: The smell of haze is in the air... must be due to the smoke coming from the bushfires we have in the eastern part of Singapore (there's this dry area and stuff). I hate the stink, it's irritating.

Blog 1 of 2
Missed blogging yesterday so I shall do it now, for yesterday. It's 0601 hours now anyway. :)
Yesterday, I was damned busy with library duties, busy trying to clear up all my make-up sessions since I didn't know there was a need to do shelving till like, Wednesday this week. By my estimations, I can finish doing all my make-up sessions only two weeks from now.
That sucks.
But I found a rare commodity seldom found in VJC. A FELLOW ANIME FAN! Yayness! She's from Malaysia (probably an ASEAN scholar; ASEAN = Association of South-East Asian Nations) and yeah, she's a fellow librarian. We spent a while talking (since both of use were off-duty but still at the counter :P), and I realised that despite being an anime fan, I haven't really watched a lot of titles. Maybe it's because I go for unorthodox ones sometimes. :P Ahh, whatever, I'm a newbie to this scene. :)
Let me try to list down what I have seen so far -> although some of them I only watched a few episodes :P (I have heard of more titles, surely!)
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Bakugaiden B-daMan (aka Bomberman), Gundam Wing, Maison Ikkoku, Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo, Love Hina, Digimon Adventure, Digimon 02, Digimon Tamers, Digimon Frontier, Cyborg Kuro-chan, Beyblade, Captain Tsubasa (? not too sure if it really is), Cardcaptor Sakura, Lupin III, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Prince of Tennis, Akazukin Cha-Cha, Magical Doraemi, Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED DESTINY, Hellsing, The Twelve Kingdoms, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien and Kiddy Grade.
That's as much as I can remember, 27 titles. :)
Oh, then there was the inter-house soccer match. I watched only the first semi-final matches for my house's (Draco's) boys' and girls' team, where we won 1-0 and lost by the same scoreline respectively. But I heard that our girls got third overall, while the finals for the boys were postpoend to Monday! Go Draco! :) :)
Headed off for my Dunman High Secondary Two class gathering (which was why I didn't watch all the matches). They went to this place called The Village (no, not M. Night Shyamalan's horror movie of the same title) where we ate, and celebrated Huiwen's birthday. Okay, so it was good to see some of my old classmates whom we haven't seen for the whole of three months.
And then my friends and I were commenting on the size of the cake (Yao Xu bought it "with her own money") and chastisized us not paying and all. We, or at least myself, weren't too happy with that (I mean, we DO have a right to say things about the cake right?) and so we did not eat our share of the cake (it was a really small slice - not that I minded, but...oh well...) despite having paid for it later. Hmm. We then took a photo nearby (and made a lot of noise) before finally reaching home. :) And watching Kiddy Grade! :D
That's it for now, will post again later. :D Bye!
Yesterday, I was damned busy with library duties, busy trying to clear up all my make-up sessions since I didn't know there was a need to do shelving till like, Wednesday this week. By my estimations, I can finish doing all my make-up sessions only two weeks from now.
That sucks.

*Contemplation*
I might have just wrecked my image in front of some of my teachers (Mr Chow, and everyone else? Who knows?) and perhaps, some of my accquaintances. God knows.
Nothing really interesting happened today, although I must add that yesterday's Physics lecture by Mr Chad Goh was entertaining... he's such a funny person! First time I have seen a teacher who's crappier than Mr Chow. :P
Perhaps pouring acid on rocks and identifying was interesting, that's what we did for Geography tutorial... :D Again had AR training. I think I'm really going to bust the knuckles on my left hand soon lol. And my left hand still stinks even after I have bathed... thanks to the glove we have to wear on our left hand (or the hand supporting the rifle) during shooting.
My grouping was slightly better today, in the sense that I manage to punch a big (albeit oval-shaped hole in my card. Hope that it means that my shots are getting closer. Even so, there was still 7 wild shots which happened because I was running out of aiming stamina and wanted to squeeze off a shot. I shouldn't do that in future. Also hit the metal wall of the range with one shot because I accidentally squeezed the trigger. LOL.
Mr Chow (he's also in charge of AR) said that my shots weren't good. All the more I must try to do better. Oh, and I decided to sign up to represent AR in VJC's Annual Cross Country... despite the fact that I'm a bad runner. They needed people to run anyways, and no one was willing to do it. I'll do my best though, try not to stop. :D
Signing off since I have nothing else to say.

What is this man?
Another day passes. One less day to the dreaded day when the O' Level results are released. God knows whether I can stay in VJC or not. If I can't... and go to some other institution, I... I don't know what I'll do.
Today we have a grand total of 5 periods of break. I tried to do homework, but in the end ended up doing VJC mass-dances in our classroom... evil me. I think I made a little too much noise when I was doing "drumming" though, so, sorry peeps from 05S41!
Doing Library duty, I realised that I had a missed counter-duty session to make up for, and FOUR shelving sessions. That sucks. Totally. Then rushed down for Physics Society metting, only to be told that they went to Jurong Island. Then I realised that the Year 2s had a talk...
If this goes on, and Physics Society (it already clashes with AR training) continues to clash, I think I'll just quit it. Then I officially have two CCAs, while I see people with 6 or 7. Aargh, heck. AR training was pretty okay, I did good but still can't punch a big hole even with approximately 30 shots (I knocked the pellet tray over and lost count of how many pellets I shot :P)
My senior, Jerome, said, "Not so good but okay lah, try to reduce size to *points at circle on target card*." One of my AR mates feels like quitting too. I tried to talk her out of it, hopefully she doesn't quit. I won't quit myself (I hope) but I fear that I will get kicked out. How am I going to find another (few more?) CCAs in VJC if I stay on?
We had static PT (Physical Training) after AR training. Now my abs are spasming once every 30 seconds. Aack.

Crankiness.
Ok, so I went (not really with my AR classmates but okay, I agreed to go with them) for AR training today. It's not a scheduled day but just extra training. All went well, basically, until I got to my shot groupings. The range was going to close so I had limited time. And I let myself be affected by the time constraint. I rushed my shots, and although all hit the card, I didn't punch very big and nice holes, and in fact two shots went wild. Very wild. Damn pissed with myself after that for wasting a valuable training session. *curses* Daniel (IP student with 2 years experience in AR, IP = Integrated Programme so he's two years' younger than me) tells me to relax...
I think I should, although I do feel that I'm the lousiest rifler now. Argh, RELAX DUDE!
*takes deep breath*
And so today, the papers talked about a reduction in the Chinese Language syllabus, our police accquiring Taser stun-guns, and professional gamers.
I feel that the reduction in the Chinese language syllabus has its pros and cons. Students study less, but that means they have to learn more on their own, perhaps this might be interesting to some. But for those who totally hate the language, the independent-learning thingamajig might not work. Furthermore, some lessons on Chinese customs are being cut. These shouldn't...at least they should be included in extra-lesson material. These are our roots, after all. I don't mind cutting poems since I never really liked them myself. :P People who have a passion for this can do their own research anyways. :)
As for the police carrying Tasers, yes, it does give us an additional option in dealing with criminals (who in Singapore are mostly armed with non-firearms, since firearms are banned in Singapore -> only authorised users such as the Police and Army can use them) but doesn't carrying an extra weapon increase the encumberance of the police officer, who already ahs to carrying his revolver, extra bullets, walkie-talkie and baton? I don't know. Maybe police patrol teams can carry a mixed variety of weaponry, I don't know.
Gaming! The next WCG (World Cyber Games, the Olympics of the gaming world) is being held in Singapore (this year I think, someone correct me if I am wrong!) !!! GO SINGAPORE!!! Even gaming as a career earns you money. And during out General Paper lesson today we discussed a little of those, although it was mostly about those Online RPG gamers (Role Playing Game) training accounts to a high level and then selling the accounts on eBay...
Interesting indeed. My random thoughts and rants end here for now. Signing off. :)
