Happy 3rd Birthday to Randal!

In steps, we have watched and walked together with our little Randal for the past 3 years...
A dearest boy who brings sunshine to everyone in his heart…

Each passing day, watching you grow and play,
These are the love that Daddy and Mommy share...
Every peep and every twinkle in your eyes,
How charming and exciting you have make our big world becomes…

Comes morning, you will greet us with your happy smile
And wrap your little arms around us with your loving touch
Comes evening, you will welcome us home with your chatters and cheers,
And make our life more than just a peaceful bliss

Comes Saturday, you will request to go to your cousins’ house
Zavier and Zachary are both your favorite playmates in the house
Comes Sunday, you will demand to go to Uncle Desmond’s house
Cooking Ma-Ma and Shooting birds are your favorite Wii games in the house

Mom and Dad, I want you to play...you would say
And drag us off the chairs and demand our attention at play
You would test our patience with your little menace acts
And drive us insane with your monkey plays and crying pains

Your curiosity and questions will never end
Just like we don’t have answer to your every whys and thens
You amaze and amuse us each and every day
With your unpredictable actions and cute little thing we hear you say

The warmth in our hearts that you keep so alive,
Are the memories you are engraving in our book of life
We will continue to walk with you as you grow
Our undying love nurtures your emergent heart and soul...

Happy Birthday to our sunshine boy,
You are the gift of love and love of our life
No matter at which stage you are
Remember Daddy and Mommy will always be there for you to hug…

Randal: A heartfelt thanks to my dearest Fengyan Shen-shen and Zhiming Shu-shu for the yummy and very nicely-designed Thomas & Friends' 3-D cake...My best cake ever!!!

Most Enjoyable Birthday Party of the Year - Zachary Di-di's first-year birthday party held at Civil Service Club.

Look at the 3-tier birthday cake and all the efforts that Shu-shu and Shen-shen put in for the party...I thoroughly enjoyed the event; the best birthday party I had ever attended...

Dry & Wet Playground in Sembawang Mall

Daddy had found a new playground for our little boy while on his reservist - the new dry and wet playground inside Sembawang Mall!

Together with Uncle Daniel and family, we took MRT train to Sembawang before transiting to a free shuttle service bus from the MRT to Sembawang Mall.

Again, our little randal did not showed any sign of excitment during the travelling trip. Not until he reached Sembawang Mall and saw the huge and colourful dry and wet playground there. Immediately, his eyes sparkled and ran towards the area where the water was splashing high up in the sky. He was totally oblivious to the dry playground at the front section. He was so immersed with the water play that he didn't even want to try anything else.

And here's the picture of little Prince Charles, Uncle Daniel's adorable and handsome young prince. Little Charles is actually younger than Randal about a year but he is already as tall as Randal. Bet must be his Daddy's and Mommy's good genes.

Some pictorial updates - Jan - Mar 09

Some pictorial updates for the past 3 months since both Daddy and Mommy were too busy (lazy) to update the blogs already.

05 Jan 09 - Randal's first day at Apple-tree playgroup. According to his Nai Nai's updates (Nai Nai was the one to send Randal to playgroup instead of Daddy and Mommy!), Randal simply had no problem accustomed to the new environment and was able to mingle well with the young kids in his playgroup. We reckoned that he may be too bored and could not find much amusement at home, especially with his tiresome old folks like us!!! We are indeed very much delighted that he is still enjoying his playgroup session and eagerly looking forward to the playgroup every day.

01 Feb 09 - Exploring the cultural village of the River Hong Bao at Marina Square. Our little boy had not much interest in the cultural village exploration. His eyes only sparkled when Mommy got him an ice-cream. Nevertheless, we still managed to complete the exploration with a super patient Daddy carrying a stodgy boy throughout the walk.

21 Mar 09 - A mini threesome outing together at Clarke Quay. Again, our little boy simply has no interest in our attempted leisure walk along the quay nor is he interested in the G-Max Reverse Bungy that was catapulting high up in the sky. Guess the only place that will catch his attention is playground, playground and more playgrounds...

Little Indoor Playground at The Forum Shopping Mall

Just got to know this great little indoor playground at the Forum Mall from none other than my Cousin Zavier's family again...

No stopping for me when it comes to great fun and play. You can see me grining from ear to ear, especially learning that the little playground is created there just for little kiddos like us. No excuse from Daddy and Mommy for keeping me indoor at home cos the playground is wet, anymore!!!

Rainforest Kidzworld in the Singapore Zoo

Another big time at the Singapore Zoo but our boy was not interested in the main attractions (animals) in the zoo at all...

While everyone was happily enjoying the wild discovery trails like the tigers, boars, baboons, reptiles and the star animal shows of the funny orang utans and the splashing seals, our boy was, however, not as enthusiastic and energetic as his cousin Zavier and Ashlyn mei mei.

Not much smile and engery level throughout the trails until we reached the Rainforest Kidzworld which was deemed the most anticipated highlight of the day; especially true to our boy.

He was all smiles and having so much fun playing in the water-theme park area that he would not want to move on to the other playground which was dry. Even Mommy and Daddy were fascinated by the sudden massive flow of water tipped over from the bucket in the water play area, not to mention our little boy.

We were drop-dead tired after spending half a day at the Singapore Zoo but our boy was still very energetic even through to the evening after dinner at Novena Square. Maybe could be due to the presence and fun company of little Zaiver...

Outdoor playground at Pasir Ris

It was an exciting day for me last weekend. Daddy decided to take me to the big outdoor playground at Pasir Ris Park.

It took us more than 1.5hr of bus-rides to reach the destination, inclusive of 20mins waiting-time for the feeder bus service from the Pasir Ris bus interchange to Pasir Risk Park.
Anyway, no complaint after reaching the big playground. I enjoyed myself thoroughly with the climb, slide, swing, see-saw, bumpy rides, bridges, etc.

I was drop-dead tired after all the fun activities and fell asleep on the bus journey back home.

Picture of Father and Son staring at the tiny light across the horizon before heading home.

A big hugz to Daddy who make the effort to bring boy-boy out instead of "chaining" him at home with two boring old souls. ;p
