twyford 1985

Back in the 80s I had a few favourite locations, mainly chosen because they were busy and not too difficult to get to. Twyford in Berkshire was a couiple of hours away from Littlehampton, and was decidedly exotic compared to my diet of EMUs!
In a few hours there would be around fifty trains through ranging from HSTs to the branch trains to Henley. In 1985 there was still a fair amount of loco hauled passenger trains mainly in the hands of class 47s.
