Ella's Last High School Pop Show!

My favorite weekend of the year for Ella was this past weekend! I love the Choir's Pop Show. Showtime 2024!

She was in 9 of the numbers and did a great job singing and dancing!

She has only been in choir 2 years, but had a solo last year and this year she had one as well and sang "All I Want" by Olivia Rodrigo from Disney's High School musical. She did a great job!!! I'm in awe of her courage and bravery to just get up and sing! I would be terrified!
They had a song and slideshow for all the seniors which was sweet and also sad :(
She has developed her voice a lot in the past two years and I'm proud of her and am excited for her to continue to develop that talent!

Ella is officially an ADULT!

Ella turned 18 on May 5th and entered a new phase of life. She is officially an adult. Time has flown by, you blink and it's gone.

She had so many AP tests and rehearsals the week of her birthday so she didn't really want to celebrate much. Her actual birthday was on a Sunday, so we went to dinner and celebrated with grandparents the day before.
She loves cookie cake!
She opened presents and got a new hard cello case to take to college with her.
For her activity that night, she wanted to paint books of Mormons, so that is what we did! A fun family activity.
Ella will be leaving to SUU in the fall to study music. She is an independent girl who is strong minded and knows what she wants. She is intelligent and driven. If she chooses to be..definitely not when it comes to cleaning her room! :) She has excelled in choir and orchestra this year and has spent a lot of time developing her talents there. She still wears a lot of black but is stylish and her style is very versatile. She still likes goldfish, chocolate, and loves to make graham crackers with frosting. She loves all things music and she just finally was released as the youth choir director in our ward after a couple years. She is very helpful and involved in church and does a great job serving. She finished her last week of seminary ever this week and is a seminary graduate. She is a great kid and we look forward to all the things she will accomplish.

Channing is a TEENAGER!

Channing turned 13 on April 23rd and we celebrated her teenage era with a Taylor Swift party! She is always up for a party!

She loves any chance to be with friends and celebrate. She is our social butterfly.
She wanted a crown and everything.
She has fun friends to come celebrate with her.
They did a trivia about Channing, guess the Taylor Swift song, played games, and then danced and watched part of the Eras tour.
She loves Taylor Swift right now....along with every other girl her age.
She was counting down for days til her birthday. :)
She loves her new pjs and is always taking selfies on my phone!
She is still the kind, thoughtful, creative, helpful girl she's always been! She tried out for all the sports this year and made all of them except volleyball. She loves to be with friends and go to the stores. She loves makeup and Sophora right now. She still loves chips and music. She is always writing the most thoughtful cards. She loves giving hugs and always wants to be on her kindle to communicate on messenger kids with her friends. Heaven help us when she gets a phone. She loves all things pink. We just love her and are so grateful for her in our lives!

Ella's Senior Prom

Ella was asked to senior prom by Cayden a friend of hers over the years. Since they go to different schools, she went with him a week earlier to his Summercreek High School prom at Minute Maid Park.

She looked beautiful in blue and had a great time.
The awkward pose she was loving ;)
The even rented a "party" bus with red carpet and all! They had a fun time traveling to and from Downtown Houston.
I'm glad she got to have a fun high school experience.

Deacon's Soccer Season

Deacon finished his soccer season with the heatwave in April. They were the #1 team all season long, but then ended up being beat in a penalty shootout in the championship game so they were the 2nd place team. They played hard though and really grew as a team. All the players really worked together and they were fun to watch.

Deacon loves having Ragnar coach him and I'm glad they have soccer they love to do together. I love watching Deacon play and look forward to another soccer season in the Fall!
