5 Year Old Checkup

Nathan was so happy that he did not have to get shots. I was almost sure he would have to get shots before Kindergarten and so I prepped him for the possibility. He was so apprehensive going in the exam room, that was the first question he asked the nurse. He was very relieved for the rest of the exam except for when the doctor started to lift his underwear and then he demanded, "What are you doing?!?!"

Natalie is Seven!

Natalie celebrated her seventh birthday yesterday. She wanted to have her party at a bouncy house place here in town and that is what she got.  She also got another cake when Brad got back from work. She was excited to get a cd player and blinged out Hello Kitty headphones. Her friends and family were very generous, and now she will be kept busy until school starts playing with all of her new loot. She is growing up so fast!

Classroom Prep

Nathan is going to be in kindergarten this year and so I am going back to work full time. I have been hired at Turpen Elementary, the same school that brought me to Gallup 14 years ago. I will be teaching fifth grade and Hyrum will be in my class. I am so excited to do what I love doing and maybe even more than that- get a paycheck! I have been prepping my room, trying to get it organized, clean and decorated so that I can focus on planning and curriculum when the other teachers get back. My kiddos have been a big help, it is so nice that my older boys are getting soo strong and capable. Once I get my mini fridge to school and stock it with Diet Dr. Pepper, I will be ready to go!
