Yes i am growing horizontally lately.. getting fatter day by day.. all my jeans are like so tight and sexy now after wearing them.. i think my waist is getting big. My face is getting rounder now. I think my whole body is already in the process of taking shape into the "lau fu tze" assistant.. the short and fat guy one.. I really need to do somthing about it..
Exam results are released today.. I have yet to collect and check my results from the exam division though.. Not yet. Don't have the courage.. However i am still curious on how fairly i did my exam.. MIC education arm under probe
KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman Commercial Crime division director Datuk Koh Hong Sun yesterday said police had spoken to MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu on allegations of criminal breach of trust in the MIC's education arm Maju Institute of Education Development (MIED). He said investigations were centred on the alleged CBT and not into alleged construction cost over-runs involving MIED's Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology. -- Bernama

Two MIED execs under probe over missing RM5mil
KUALA LUMPUR: Two senior executives of the Maju Institute of Educational Development (MIED) – the education arm of the MIC – are being investigated for alleged criminal breach of trust by the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department.
The two, who hold senior executive posts, are alleged to have taken out more than RM5mil from MIED’s account.
Sources said the money was allegedly transferred into another account, purportedly belonging to one of them.
It is learnt that MIC vice-president Datuk S. Sothinathan lodged a report when he learnt of the missing money.
Sources said MIC top brass also found several documents missing during a routine internal audit.
Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Koh Hong Sun confirmed his officers were investigating the top executives but declined to elaborate.
According to Bernama, police sources revealed that commercial crime officers had spoken to Samy Vellu for five hours at the MIC headquarters on Wednesday and that some files on MIED were taken to aid in the probe.
“The Bukit Aman commercial crime division director is directly monitoring the investigations. This is a big case. We might also question several other MIC leaders on the case.
“Once investigations are completed, we will talk to anti-corruption commission if there was a need for further action.
“It is also monitoring the case and if we need its assistance, we would ask it to move in ... only if the need arises,” said a senior officer involved in investigations.
Samy Vellu, it is also learnt, has briefed the MIC central working committee on the visit by the police to the party headquarters at its meeting on Thursday.
MIED, which runs the Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology (AIMST) through MIED Capital Sdn Bhd, has been mired in controversy after it was revealed that the cost of AIMST doubled from its early estimate.
Last December, Tan Sri M. Mahalingam, a signatory of MIED cheques, was removed as MIC treasurer-general by Samy Vellu who said the move was part of an MIC rebranding exercise.
The party president had also said that there was a need to inject new blood into the party.
MIED chief executive officer P. Chitrakala Vasu, on the other hand, has been asked by Samy Vellu to go on leave since the controversy broke out.
Chitrakala had received and replied to several show cause letters from Samy Vellu.

Chakra Biotech chief executive officer Anthony Bishop said the company had allocated about US$8mil to kick off its operations in Penang.
“We have set up a 40,000 sq ft fully integrated neurobehavioral laboratory at Universiti Sains Malaysia, which should start functioning in two months. We will employ some 80 staff,” he told a press briefing attended by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
Bishop said the laboratory would specialise in running tests for new drugs used for treating central nervous system disorders.

AS a student of AIMST University, I am proud of this institution of higher learning. It has great facilities, lecturers and deans. Kudos to the teaching staff who are doing a good job. I have no qualms about the quality and affordability of the education services. In fact, it is probably the only reason for me to continue my education here.
However, AIMST has to buck up on certain issues.
I stay at the hostel and I must say that AIMST should hire better caterers. The food needs drastic improvement. This is a university offering courses in medicine, science and technology. Therefore, the management should know better than to serve us excessively oily, salty and spicy food.
I understand the need to serve spicy food to accommodate the majority of the students. But would it be too much to ask the caterers to serve a greater variety of quality food?
They should know that porridge with bits of fish, peanuts, long beans and omelette for dinner is not going to be enough, especially for growing young men. Very often, students are disappointed by the quality of the food, but we do not have a choice because we have paid for the food as part of our hostel fees. Plus, most students are required to stay at the hostel for three years. By the end of the three years, I would not be surprised if students suffer from health problems as a result of the food served in the hostel.
Another issue I would like to bring up is the excuses and false promises given to students. Students are asked to come back later for mail collection for no apparent reason. We were also told that food stalls would be set up, instead of the current system of food from caterers, but that never took place.
In addition, students are charged different rates for different types of hostel. I was told that the ones paying more are allowed to buy their own refrigerators.
I pay less for my hostel fees. But my hostel can accommodate 12 students so we pay more collectively than the students who are staying at the more expensive three-person hostels. And yet, we are not allowed to have a refrigerator, which is a necessity.
P.S : Kudos to the Aimst-er who dares to speak up and post it to NST. The whole article is just so so so true..!!
AIMST UNIVERSITY is time for a CHANGE~~!!!
