Two staff from the Drainage and Irrigation Department (JPS) clearing up rubbish that has blocked the drain at the state mosque in Jalan Masjid Negeri. The water level has reached 2.8m in the morning which has past the alert level of 2.6m. - 30 September, 2008

Anyway i think Gurney Plaza's new wing is going to open soon this year end. More shops and larger shopping spaces. I wonder if the Penang Times Square will be able to make it this year end too ?

Friday

Class ended about 9 am which is after my Population Genetics class. 10 am reach hostel. 11 am reach Penang. Quite tired as i did not have enough sleep the previous night. So after my brunch i lay down onto my nice comfy bed and quickly dozed off minutes later.
About 3 pm, suddenly my hp rang. Mum was on the line and the conversation goes like that :
Mum : Roy, what are you doing now?
Me : I'm sleeping lo.. That's why my voice sounds like zombie talking to you..
Mum : Oh so indirectly it means you are quite free la. Since you are so free, can you please go to Citibank and make the appropriate actions to withdraw all the money and bank into other banks because Citibank's current status is not quite stable now. A lot of people has been drawing out money from Citibank for the past 2 days.
Me : Huh? What do u mean?
Mum : As you know the Lehman Brothers and AIG in the US were in deep financial crisis now and it was heard that Citibank might be in trouble too.
Me : Citibank can meh? It is one of US biggest bank wor.. Can easily go bancrupt ar? Moreover the previous time the US government had pumped in a lot of money to Citibank in order to sustain it already. Should be ok la i think...
Mum : Nevermind lah... since you got nothing to do now just help mum a bit..
Me : Ok i try la because very hard to get parking at Citibank there one.
Mum : Ok thanks.

So there goes my beauty sleep. I crawl up from my bed. Went to Citibank. Indeed many people were there and NO PARKING although i waited for 30 minutes. Suddenly my mum sms me : " Don't have to withdraw money d. I think it should be ok lah"

Saturday

Crawl up from my bed about 6 am. Having class at 8 am. Parents fetch me all the way back to AIMST for my recombinant DNA class. About 8.10 am, the lecturer came in. He told us he got meeting at 8.30 am. Therefore he is going to "rush" through very fast. 8.30 am class ended.
As if i benefited from the 20 minutes class.
There goes my beauty sleep for the day...

Thats all for now. Got to wake up early tomorrow about 7.30 am to go for breakfast. Going to have Hokkien Mee at One Corner CAfe situated behind Cold Storage. That Hokkien Mee sells like hot cake. Have to wait for about an hour for your turn and if you reach the place about 10 am, it will be sold out... >.<

Hey all.. sorry for the late blog entry.. Anyway i'm back to my uni.. yeah holidays are over.. back to a student's most non-pleasurable chapter which is studying..




As for this sem, my timetable is hectic.. Classes starts at 8 am everyday except for wednesday which is 9 am and ends on 6 pm most of the days. Worst that working.. Sobzz...





Well today had my EPP lesson which is English for Profesional Purposes.. My last English paper for my course. Was surprised yet contented when Mr. Thilagaray stepped his foot into my class. Well he is one of the most lenient lecturer in the CGES department though.. Therefore i am happy and the whole class is happy too.





As usual, Mr. Raj starts to talk and intro a bit about the outline of the EPP course. As humourous as he can be, he stress on the importance of the course and stating that it was even more important than our core subjects. He told us that this is the subject where we will be an asset to our family or a liabilty to our family, a good son or a "good-for-nothing" son in the future, so on and so forth. Well, a few of his lame jokes did made us laughed though..





Anyway most of my friends were back to uni.. Haven't really catched up with them yet. Anyway thanks to my beloved PKJ for the lovely pressie..
and thanks to dear wolfie Kelvin for swapping the MCD olympic mug with me. Now i have the complete sets of the mugs..

Omg i am getting lazier to update my blog.. Anyway during my holidays in KL, my beloved kah kiat had kept on sms-ing me on when want to go out "yumcha" as i had promised him before the holidays. So therefore, yesterday (wed) i went out with him calling together abby and guan yu to go queensbay mall for a movie.

Hey all i'm back from Genting/KL trip.. well just a short trip.. nothing much can be done in just a few days over there. Anyway the trip was enjoyable however i think it will be better if it is not raining throughout the whole trip.. LoL.

Stayed a night in Genting.. 2 nights in KL. In KL, went to midvalley, LOT10, Sungei Wang Plaza, The PAvillion, Times square.. It was more to a shopping trip instead.. Didn't manage to go to Petaling street as it was raining so therefore i did not manage to get you all any souvenirs.. :x

Anyway below are some random shots :

At Dain Ti Hill, the restaurant was cozy.. nice ambience.. services were really good.. From the restaurant, one can see the city view of KL. As for the food, we ordered some unagi rice, stir fried seafood noodles, chicken rice, some spicy seafood noodles, baked cheese escargot (the cheese taste had overpowered the escargot.. but still it is nice), mango glazed prawn emperor roll (the portion is huge and it is very tasty), yam sago dessert, mango dessert and some glutinous ball in red bean soup. Food presentation were pretty and there are lots more of nice side dishes but we were too full to try it as there were just 3 of us (mum eat like mouse only coz scared fat =.=") Overall the lunch was satisfying and bill was around RM200 for so many dishes..

Ok i am leaving BUT not on a jet plane.. LoL. Will be going for a short holidays with my beloved dad and mum. Will be leaving Penang about 4 am in the morning for Genting Highlands. It will be a night in Genting and 2 nights in Kuala Lumpur.

Went to Jusco Bandar Perda today.. My dad drove us there. At the beginning i was so enthusiastic to learn how to get there but after a few turns here and there, i gave up. So hard to go there one.. well my sense of direction aren't that good though.

I bought 2 BROS water bottle. The big one is RM 19.90 while the smaller one is RM 15.90 excluding 10% off.

Thats all for now.. going to Bandar Perda Jusco for shopping tomorrow. Hopefully there will be more pics in the next post..
