Fall!
Rewind.
Ira enjoying his last (Summer Vacation) supper.
Eliot's first day of 2nd grade
Ira's first day of 4th grade
Robin is still small for his size: somewhere between the size of a popcorn bowl and a fire hydrant. I keep asking him how he got so cute, and he hasn't come up with a satisfactory answer yet.
Esther experimenting with berets.
I was able to knock out three births for DONA certification. It was wonderful...but this is my "pulling another all-nighter" face.
Hike with the Barneys. I should create an album just made up of Esther holding hands with her friend Noelle.
Sharon's Birthday
We ate at Seva's
Esther's First day of Preschool, 4's class
Esther and Robin started music classes, and Robin especially LOVES it.
Eating raspberries in the garden
The Climate Strike in Ann Arbor
Gotta protect the planet for this little guy!
I hope Anthony and I grow up to be like this rockin' couple in their 90's.
Heading back with Shelby.
In September I officially started working as a contracted doula with Ann Arbor Birth and Family. I'm loving not flying solo any longer, and working side by side with such amazing women.
Esther's field trip to Wiard's with Dad! He took some time off, so I could attend another birth.
Esther's Birthday Party (a few months after her actual birthday)
The kids made fossil imprints
Pretended to be paleontologist using paper...
and ice.
Hands on Museum with the young ones
The Fun Run
A trip to the University of Michigan Art Museum with my friend Taina
Ant's whole wheat sour dough bread is delicious and getting prettier
Dad forgot something at home, his phone maybe?...so we visited him.
Reunion for my very last Bradley Class. Sad.
Little Loise and I
Robin and Evie
This is probably my favorite Esther drawing. It may look like a bird, but it's actually a friend of the family named Logan, with a blue beard, and "many fingers and toes."
Fall Soccer
Apparently this is the only angle and pose I can catch Ira in.
Eliot's Team
Esther with some of her besties. I like to refer to them as Hermione, Ron, and Harry.
Date night! It was super windy, o.k.? ;) We went to see The Magic Flute performed by Isango Ensemble, a group from South Africa. It was an impressive and fun juxtoposition of South African culture, and Mozart's classic. I mean, look at Ant. We were totally blown away.
Our Fall Photoshoot with Brittany Bennion
Ira was less than cooperative, but check it out. He's looking straight into the camera!
Halloween
3 Newsies (the kids are currently obsessed with the musical), a dalmatian, and 2 Egyptians (one behind the camera)
We used the holiday as an excuse to try making a tape sculpture. It was pretty fun, but took way longer than I had predicted. But check it out! We won 2nd place for the Trunk or Treat at church for trunk decorating.
The kids were great models. Most of the body was Ira's, the feet were Eliot's, the hands Esther's, and the head was improvised, because for some weird reason no one volunteered to have their head encased in packaging tape.
Esther trying to keep up with the boys and learn chess.
Ira showing off his muscles
Esther got her hair cut and is happy to see that she looks like her good buddy!
Anthony's Birthday
We were snowed in, which was a cozy excuse to stay in.
Mississippi Mud Pie
Check out those pipe cleaner specs!
Cinnamon Roll French Toast
Robin's first time sledding!
Ira, Anthony, and sometimes Eliot have started Saturday 5k runs with Parkrun.
Thanksgiving was lovely. We had the Barneys, Webbs, Bolingbrokes, and the Bolingbroke's friends Betsy and Michael over. They brought their banjo and violin and let us listen in on an awesome a mini-bluegrass jam.
Robin loves finding hats to wear.
And snuggling.
On to Winter!
