We know so many of you keep up with our family happenings through this blog. So it IS with much sadness that I make this post. Eric's Dad, Grant (Bud) Quinney, passed away unexpectedly last night at his home in San Gabriel, CA. We don't have much information but it seems to be of natural causes. We are all still pretty much in a state of shock. As soon as we know more we will let you know more. THis is the last picture we have of Papa Bud. It is of him holding Bryson before his first surgery on his blessing day.
WE LOVE YOU PAPA BUD. YOU WILL BE MISSED!!

Too many pics for one post
Oh What Fun!!!
Here are a few pictures from our Easter weekend. It was my Dads 60th Birthday and we gave him a surprise party and spent the day together. It was fun even though we missed having Greg, Megan, Amie and the kids there. I guess living in Texas and Montana are a pretty good excuse for missing. :) We had alot of fun!

The Rebound
Well it has been a week since we have come home from the short hospital stay and Bryson is doing better. We have been giving him some normal saline treatments to help his croupe and it seems to be working. Bryson is starting to get back in the rountine of sleeping times although he seems to pick and choose when he feels like eating. We have an appointment to go back to cardiology in a couple of weeks for a follow up and hopefully an echo to see how things are going. His being sweaty and clamy more often seem to indicate that maybe his heart function is down a little. It would just be nice to have some way of knowing that things are alright.
Life is busy with scouts, Jr Jazz, dance lessons, and today Jen was called to be the secretary in the Relief Society. The shop is crazy which is great and Jennylin is getting ready to embark on her semi-annual scrapbook weekend retreat. I am not sure if it is the scrapbooking or just getting way from the craziness for a few days that is more appealing. Anyways, this next weekend will be Mr. Mom around the house, I hope it is still standing this time next weekend.

Going Home
Well Sunday morning has brought us some good news. Bryson is doing well enough to go home! Three days of steroid treatment has allowed him to turn the corner with his breathing. He sounds a lot better and they are going to send us home with some more steroid medications and we will taper him off over the next few days. One other issue that they have been watching has been his heart rate. While he sleeps it is dipping down into the 60's, which is low for his age and normal baseline. His perfusion and stuff still looks to be ok! The regular doc's were going to run it by cardiology, but they do not seem to be too concerned.
Over the last week or so, we noticed Bryson getting more sweaty when he sleeps and when he gets better, if he is still sweating and having heart rate issues, we will schedule an appointment with cardiology and see if they will do an echo to tell us what is going on. His next surgery is not supposed to be until the 2-3 years old range, but that is not something set in stone either. We are glad to be going home and having adverted major problems by getting him in when we did. It is hard to know sometimes what to do when so much other stuff (croupe, cold, flu) can have so much affect on his heart condition. We are just waiting for his RSV shot and discharge orders before they will let us leave. That should give the sun enough time to come out and help get the roads in better shape.

Hospital Update
Well Bryson had a fairly good night, although his breathing continues to be a bit labored. He still makes strider sounds "wheezing" as he breathes although it not as fast. The steroids they have him on are seeming to do the job. Bryson is a bit stir crazy as he can't move around very much and there is no chance of taking him on a wagon ride because he is on precautions. That means that those that come into his room must wear a gown and mask to protect Bryson from having any bad germs brought into his room. Also a wagon ride or something outside of his room would expose Bryson to all the other sickness that roams these halls and we certainly don't want him to get anything to make his situation worse.
So the doctors want to watch him another night and if things continue to improve and he is not having to work as hard as he was to breathe, we should be able to take him home tomorrow with some oral steroids meds to continue to help him after we are home. His heart seems to be tolerating all of this ok, they do have him hook up to the cardiac monitor to make sure. We were originally scheduled to come down here on Monday for Bryson's RSV shot, and we are trying to get it coordinated that he can get his shot while we are here and avoid another trip down here.
So all is going well, we are thankful for the prayers and thoughts. These heart kids walk on a fine line and it does not take much to send them into a tailspin, but their bounce back capabilities never cease to amaze us.
