I told you that we were bored to death this week!! This is what happens when you are stuck inside...you get loopy! We had some fun with "Photo Booth" on our computer. You choose different functions to totally distort your face. It is hilarious! If you are ever in need of a good laugh, come on over and play with "Photo Booth."

Ode to Gymboree Bubbles
So, unfortunately we have had a very slow week and by slow I mean extra boring and full of school work. Fortunately, a couple of weeks ago we went to the mall and picked up some bubbles from Gymboree. I learned from Music Makers (a group of Mom's and kids that get together at the Stake Center and sing songs and read stories) that Gymboree has the best bubbles, so of course I had to get some. Because of our super boredness we decided to try out our Gymboree bubbles in the house. I do not recommend this because it made the carpet all sticky and we had a bunch of bubble goo in our hair. Aside from all of the stickiness, we had fun with our new bubbles. When we got up the next morning there were still some bubbles left on our kitchen table and chairs! They really are good bubbles! Since our camera doesn't take good pictures inside when there isn't much light, we only got like one good picture...

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter to everyone. I love this time of year and love the Easter Holiday. I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and also hope that everyone was able to keep in mind the reason why we celebrate Easter. Enjoy the pics!
Here are a few of Ella in her Easter dress. Thanks mom---it looks so cute on her!
Brown Park
Since we've been having only one or two nice days out of the whole week, we decided that we would take advantage of the nice weather while we could. We picked up some lunch at Panera Bread (Very Yummy) and set off for the park. Ella had a blast being able to run around with other kids and enjoy the fresh air. Here are some pictures from our day at Brown Park.
Ella and Dad
Ella's first time down a slide!
Ella was just so excited to be out of the house that she couldn't stop running!

The Zoo
This week was spring break for both Brad and I and since I didn't have to work today we decided to go to the zoo and enjoy the beautiful 65+ degree weather. Since just last week we were stuck inside do to 8 or so inches of snow, we were itching to get out and had a great day. We talked the Shepherd's and the Harper's (two of our neighbors) in to joining us. It was so much fun!
The gorillas were out enjoying the weather as well. They were really playful with each other--chasing each other around. This one is totally checking out Ella, but she is doing what I have taught her and playing hard to get.
Brad wanted to show us all the he is almost as big as a gorilla
Brad and Ella got to feed nectar to the parrots. Ella loved the birds and kept trying to grab them by their beaks (this is why we can never have a pet bird). Miraculously we made it out of the exhibit with only one poop dropping on us! Alright:)
We have nicknamed Travis "the bird man." This is why
This is the gang after our fun day at the Louisville Zoo!

Sweet Spots
Ella is such a character. She has found many "sweet spots" around the house. Here are a few of them...
She loves to stare out the window. Unfortunately she has been doing that a lot since it has been so cold :(
I caught Ella making herself comfortable on our pile of clean laundry during laundry day
Ella loves her Bumbo that she got from her aunt Jodi. It is so funny to watch her climb into it. It takes a lot of effort so she is always very proud of herself when she finally gets in!
This is another one of Ella's favorite places to be. We call it her "library." She climbs in her Bumbo and choses a book to look at. It's so adorable!

Ummm...I swear I left Utah
This weekend we had a huge snow storm in Louisville. I could not believe how much snow we got!! Our bushes by our back patio were covered with snow and I even saw people out riding their snow-mobiles by the train tracks. I kept asking Brad why those people even owned snow-mobiles. Does anybody else think that's weird? I seriously thought that we left all the snow behind when we moved out to Kentucky, but I was so wrong! Needless to say, I did feel right at home with all the snow. But come on, isn't it spring yet?

Yummy Chili
On Friday we were supposed to have a chili cook-off and an auction at the church, but with all the snow it ended up being cancelled. Since the Shepherd's, Courtright's, and Cloward's had a lot of chili and pies that couldn't go to waste they called us to come finish them off (they must have figured out that Brad will never pass up anything that has to do with food)! It was very delicious and fun to visit with good friends.
