fwahahaha i just finished the series! omgggg i loveeee it! hurhur.

it's about a rich man's eccentric grandson (Kim Joo Won) falling in love with a poor stuntwoman (Gil Ra Im), in summary. haha.

i like how Joo Won falls in love with Ra Im at first sight and immediately openly pursues her. ahehehehe. slightly different from the usual kdrama plot mah, where the protagonists slowly fall in love with each other as the story develops kind.

Secret Garden took not just me, but also the whole of Korea and Asia by storm wor, can see alot of its classic scenes being spoofed everywhere:

1) Jeju-do long bench kiss

2) cappucino foam kiss - abit cheesy though

3) sit-up scene - my favourite scene!! wahahahaha awwwwww~

as requested by Fussie, this is a comparison of my eyes before and after:

actually i had eyeliner and mascara on when Rihan-ed, and the "No Aspirin" photo was no makeup de, but then i dont think makeup helps when u swell like that huh.

eyes are ok now, no worries! but Aspirin still freaks me out! *shivers*

nah just kidding, Beefie is perfectly non-violent lols. i was having a realli realliiiiiiii bad allergy.

here's wat happened last nite:
8pm - reached Holland Village to meet Beefie & gang, dory fish dinner at NYDC
830pm - ate 1x Aspirin for headache
9pm - yogurt at Frolic
930pm - drank mocktail Shirley Temple at Wala Wala
10pm - left eye started swelling
1030pm - right eye started swelling too

therefore, i assume it's the Aspirin, since i've eaten dory fish and yogurt b4 with no issues, and there's no alcohol in Shirley Temple. and for 27 years of my life (omfg im getting old), i've nv consumed Aspirin b4.

sibeh scary, think i scared the hell out of my mum and dad too lols.

initially i wanted to go buy Panadol for my headache, but Gayry coincidentally just bought OTC Aspirin from the pharmacy for his flu. so i thought, why not.

11pm - Beefie sent me home from Wala
1130pm - realised tat EVEN MY LEFT EYEBALL WAS SWOLLEN, panicked
12am - quickly went to a 24hr clinic and got anti-allergy drugs, total cost $130 sighhhhh
1230am - took 4x Prednisolone and 1x Loratidine by the ah beng midnight doc
1am - home, bathed and proceeded to watch kdrama (wahahahahaha)
2am - left eye swelling started to subside while still watching kdrama (LOL)
3am - slept after kdrama
.
honestly i was feeling absolutely fine besides the uber swollen eyes, just a little itchy and teary. well, on the bright side, at least my headache was gone hahahaha.

nx day morning my eyes were much better, still abit swollen but ting tot it's frm crying at the sob story in the kdrama duhhhhh.

and now my eyes are almost back to normal le.
.

all within 24hrs man, my whirlwind baaaaaaaaad romance with Aspirin. -__-

doc says my allergy is quite serious but it's not life-threatening cuz i dont have breathing difficulties. so pls note: GO TO THE HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY IF U'RE HAVING BREATHING DIFFICULTIES FROM ALLERGY!

i would advise everyone to try not to consume any meds which u havent tried b4, just stick to the usual ones if they still work for u.

so now, whenever the doctors/nurses asked if i have any allergies, instead of saying nothing, now i have something to say: "ASPIRIN". bah.

there's a way to get realli cheap broadway tickets in nyc, for some shows it's easy, but u need ALOT of luck for ONE particular show.
.
yep that's Wicked.

so wat u do is queue behind the many many people 1.5hrs before the show starts, write down your name and how many tickets required on a piece of paper.
.
then 1hr before the show starts, that same guy wearing sunglasses when night had alr fallen will pick out the winners lottery-style. 26 tickets to give away each time, $26.25/ticket after tax.
.
well, we tried 5 frigging times n didnt get it. frigging popular show, always tons of people entering the lottery. BAH.
.

we did managed to get lottery tickets for this show on 1st try, however. both our names were called, so theoretically we had 4 tix which we could have sold 2, but we juz surrendered the tix lah.
.
Next To Normal is a Pulitzer winning book made into broadway, about how a family deals with a bipolar mother.
.
though as usual, i fell aslp at 8pm NYT, the intense buildup at the later half of the show woke me up. very touching end to the show, and the actors were superbly brilliant. fantastic experience!
