olympic games i juz dont get

for this YOG, it's a combi of fencing+swimming+shooting+running.

seems to me like it's an event for athletes who are jacks of all trades but masters of none lor.

e shooting part is not even e orthodox air rifle shooting (which is an olympic event) lor, it's some laser shooting thingy.

actually i oso dont understand fencing. everyone's all wrapped up, cant even see em leh, i feel pissed tat i cant see faces. lols.

equestrian

modern day ppl dont ride horses anymore! such an ancient activity lidat, n mostly for e rich ppl who can afford it.

but i do recognise e difficult of mastering e "sport". u cfm cant ctrl e horse as well as u can ctrl ur own body, so in a way swimmers got it easier.

eh my colleagues told me abt tis pretty saudi arabian equestrienne, Dalma Malhas, won bronze in one of e event. loveeeee her electric green eyes man!

hockey

sorry tky n zzg, but i find there's toooooo many ppl n toooooo many sticks in hockey, n the field is sooooo big yet e ball is sooooo small, cant see! ahahahaha.

oh but i tink e hockey uniforms are very flattering on e girls. yumssss.

handball

neither basketball nor football, dont understand wat they'r tryin to be. plus, players' n esp goalkeepers' uniforms are sibehhhhhhhhhh fugly!!

gymnastics

is more of art than sports, but e gymnasts' moves are so pretty n they must possess immense strength in order to pull off their routine, so i'll give it to em. n i like watching gymnastics actually. hurhur.

diving

i dont understand hw they judge whether it's a gd dive or not. stimes e splash is big, but still high pts. stimes e legs are nt aligned, but still high pts. weirdddddd.

but hor, tom daley is soooooooooooo cuteeeeeeee!! lols.

e oni YOG athlete i came upclose was on e train, in front of me at e reserved seat. he's frm some middle east ctry de. doesnt look hot athletic-ish at all, n had his legs stretched out n shopping bags all over e floor in a crowded train. duhhhh. n i saw ZERO young cute hot angmohs in jurong pt tho everyone reported spotting loadsa em there!! BAHHHHHH.

anyways i noticed ALOT of YOG buses plying ntu-boonlay bus interchg, n they are ALWAYS EMPTY!! anyone noes why???

we'r early!! beefie went at 5+ to chope seats, i arrived at 6+ right after work.

The Float is packed de lor. my mum said there's a black mkt for e YOG closing ceremony tix, as high as 5x e original price. mine's $40 de, wld nv sell it for e world man.

our seats are pretty gd, near e stage n as centre as our light blue tickets allow. hurhur.

e ticket is 3-in-1: admission ticket, ez-link card (w 4 complimentary train rides n free unlimited bus rides for e day!) n cash card.

we sat right beside e YOG congregation, when they strolled in i was frantically searching for tom daley (omgggggg cuteeeeeeee), only to realised tat those are juz coaches n officials, no hot young cute athletes... -_-

when LKY built e Flyer, MBS, The Float, The Sail, Esplanade, n moved e Merlion, did he do all this in prep of such a big international event??? so tat e whole world can marvel at our splendid skyline??

so hor, no matter wat those few pampered n opinionated singaporeans might criticise abt Mr Lee, n complained tat we have no freedom of speech watever, witnessing wat we have nw, im veri thankful that we have Mr Lee. *salutes* hurhur no, i dont work for PAP.

found e YOG tattoos in e goodie bag n started tattooing ourselves!

there's tis hearty lights in e goodie bag as well, n Lyo hat tat blinks at e top! hurhur interesting. pretty gd stuffs in a free goodie bag, there's oso a muffin n bottle of water n poncho.

after waiting for almost 2hrs, e once-in-my-lifetime ceremony finally started! some sg rapper warmed up e crowd.

then after tat we supposedly went live on tv worldwide, but i donno why they spent like 10min herding e athletes. my guess is sth went wrong w the itinerary there, oh well.

alot were olympic protocol in e event, actually. nth much of original performance by sg. when it's time for e sg flag n anthem, there's a sudden swell of patriotism in me. i love singapore!! lols.

rainer ng gave a speech thanking e YOG volunteers, isabelle li marched in bearing e olympic flag, teo ser luck passed on e flag to nanjing where e 2014 YOG will be held. n then our olympic vortex flame was extinguished. awwwww~~

plastic white doves were released as a sign of peace. tho they juz look like a bunch of white dotty mess here. innovative idea, but wonder wat e environmentalists wld say. haha.

then e music came on for e athletes n audience to PAAAAAR-TYYYYY! atmosphere was quite fantastic, ppl cheering n dancing a lil.

n of cuz, spectacular fireworks for a smashing end to YOG 2010! awesome tons of fireworks! gosh, we'r rich! hoho.

there was a montage of e games, so touching lehz. hw i wish i was an athlete. too bad during my time there's no YOG, else i cfm sign up for national shooting team n train damnnnn hard. too lateeeeee~

everything has to end... sads. it lasted 1.5hrs only tho, wish it cld be longer lor.

e athletes left a trail of rubbish behind em, but our diligent "hygiene officers" were alr standing by to clean up after em. singapore mah, cleanliness freaks. lols.

beefie acting cute while we waited for e crowd to disperse. took us q awhile to get to raffles place mrt wor, e ceremony ended at 930pm, we reached mrt at 1020pm i tink.

WE ENJOYED THE INAUGURAL YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES CLOSING CEREMONY!! WELL DONE, SINGAPORE!!! WE LOVEEEEEE YOUUUUUUU!!! *screams*

tot tis intercontinental manicure will take damnnnnn long to dry, but i was introduced to quick dry top coat n it dried w/in 15min!! omgggg i shd have tried it centuries ago!!

a day as a spectator at the YOG!

we were at bishan stadium for e YOG athletics events yest evening! hehe. had to queue to get thru security b4 we'r admitted.

if u tink nobody cares abt e YOG, juz look at e crowd!! ppl frm all over e world, very re nao! e stadium is packed de lor!

it's juz towards e end when e events have ended tat most ppl left, tats when e camera starts to pan across e grand stand. duh.

see e mosque behind me? beefie tot tats e bishan sports hall where e YOG gymnastics competition took place. ahahahahaha.

MERLY!! n lyo of cuz, as part of e "warm spectators up" show. they only appeared for like 3min nia lor, sibeh gd life as mascots. lols.

one of e 1st events for e nite: 10,000m walk boys. one of e games i totally dont get, it's betw walk n run, simply weirdddd.

anyways e guy in yellow right in front won gold in e end. e could-be silver medallist was disqualified juz 3 rounds to completion lor, so sayang.

volunteers/games official (?) v enthusiastically risking their lives running to e javelin even b4 it landed.

oh i muz say e volunteers at bishan stadium were realli friendly n nice. they dont appear as bored as u tink u see em on tv lah, juz tired mayb.

in e end e boy from argentina won javelin. i saw e american silver medallist (in blue) outside e grand stand!

saw alotta other athletes oso, including e ukraine girl who fainted e day b4, juz 200m b4 e end of her 10,000m walk finals, n losing e gold medal. kelian max.

heng e evening wasnt too warm, beefie can make do w a batt-op fan. hehe. n damn heng no rain!

there's fireworks at e end of e event! donno why tho. but beefie caught it, juz nice! hoho.

if even athletics get fireworks, closing ceremony cfm will have hor? if nt i'll feel q lugi over e $40x2 tix tt i bot.

after i reached hm n watched e delayed telecast of athletics on cable, i saw us (yellow circled)!! hurhur. e camera panned on us thrice:

1x i had my back to e camera cuz i asked beefie to take e above pic of me w e track behind
2x we din noe e camera was on us so we were juz chillaxing
3x we waved!! but dumbly at e tv screen in e stadium instead of e camera
bah. there goes my 3 sec of fame.

we enjoyed e games!! Youth Olympics Games Singapore 2010 rocksssss!!! wahahahas.

took alotta efforts to file it to fit my nails, to add e blings on, to glue em onto my fingernails, n finish it w a top coat of lacquer.

but w/ in 12hrs, 1st casualty on e lil finger, fell out somewhere betw boonlay n raffles place mrt. -___-

then they gradually fell out one by one, some can be found n pasted back, some juz gone forever. bahhhhh.

n it's too long for my liking even tho i alr trimmed it short, poked my own eye when takin out my lenses. duhhhhh.
