suntec/millenia foodie goodies

e auditoress was continuously stationed in e city hall area for e past mth, n she found some food tat she likes there.

indonesian cuisine @ fountain terrace foodcourt

it's at suntec B1, can go in frm e Carl's Jr wing.

i like e grilled chicken with special indonesian sauce (forgot e name of tat sauce). tried it b4 at riverside indonesian restaurant, tis one at e foodcourt is comparably yummy!


hokkien prawn mee @ food republic


suntec's convention centre side, 1st floor.


long queue for e prawn mee wor, but i tink it's not say fantastically wonderful. pretty value-for-money tho, a normal portion of mee with 3 fresh prawns for $4 oni.

e thing i like abt tis food republic is e decor lahz.

theme is library. olde school retro-looking chairs, victorian table lamps... i kept asking my audit team mates why we'r eating a library. LOL~

u noe they've got cheongsam/suit-wearing young ppl (blur moving figure above) to clear e tables for u?? we were shocked.

green tea latte @ starbucks millenia walk

e green tea latte looks veri pretty frm e poster, hence decided to try it. hahaha~

e beverage's green in colour, btw. not v evident frm photo.

tot there'll be coffee inside cuz i tot latte = coffee. then my snr kindly pointed out tat latte = milk, after i've bot it. bah~

quite a unique taste tho, not bad lahz. green tea + milk. but mrong wld hate it cuz it's super milky. haha~

seafood soup @ koufu foodcourt

millenia walk, 2nd storey. it's a small foodcourt, actually. not as packed as fountain terrace.

lotsa liao in e seafood soup wor: 2 prawns, 2 crabsticks, slices of fish, veggie n ikan bilis! $4

e seafood are all veri fresh, hence awesome~

tink i ate e seafood soup thrice w/in 2 wks. wahahahaha~

there u go, e auditoress revealed some of her goodie food finds once again! hehehe~

e poor bdae boy had to organise his own bdae outing. LoL~

tats us in sushi tei. i din noe Sushi Tei @ Raffles City is mightily gorgeous!

quite in love with sushi tei recently. love their sashimi salad with sushi tei sauce, yums! their chicken katsu don is oso wonderful~~

while e guys were settling e bill, we gals camwhored beside e cashier counter. hehe~

it's a rooftop bar, completely alfresco on one half. im so amused by their newspaper-esque menu...

cuz it says it's a 'makeshift shelter' in e event of rain. haha~

see, me n ray demostrating e alternate use of e menu. quite dumb. seriously tat filmsy piece of menu is not gg to keep rain out lorz, right.

but e place is quite decent, gd view of e city hall area behind me n ray....

n nice tree to take photos with behind sissy n lulu. haha~

sissy n lulu were quite irritated by my constant flash photography there, cuz e place is real dark n my flash is real bright.

i ordered e white choc martini n hated it, cuz it totally reeks of vodka (i hate vodka) with juz a slight tinge of choc. ray's gummi bear cocktail is much better tho.

it started raining halfway thru our drinks, hence we moved to e air-con part of e bar. there're tiny partitioned-cells with cushions, where u can lie down totally. odd~

i captured tis while heading back to raffles city, cool pic huh?? e trishaw driver (retro) is totally oblivious to e hustle n bustle of e busy ppl n buses (modern). hehe~

they were still doing up e tree at tat time (so u noe how outdated tis post is, haha). we took a photo with e latest tree while waiting for traffic light.

revamped!

finally decided to revamp my blog template after 2+yrs. e old template realli looks old n alignment's all screwed up le.

but tis new template is essentially e old template lahz, as u can see. but simpler n broader (minima stretch) lorz. more text area, less frills.

still thinking of wat title to use as my blog header, so nw it's juz a boring font.

'the queen has spoken' sounds abit juvenile for my advanced age, but 'qian has spoken' sounds weak. needa tink of a powerful header, else juz stick to e former. any suggestions?

there's so much of cny hols tis yr! feels so shiok not to be wakened by my alarm clock for 4 days straight sia. hehe~

reunion dinner on cny eve for 5pax, credits to mrs chan. sumptuous!

initially tot i can get e whole cny eve off, but partner dropped a bomb on us (see prev post on my korean client). oh well~

da nian chu yi aka 1st day of cny!

e usual house visiting. taken after visiting my grandpa's cousin's family at redhill. i saw e shuaige again tis yr! realli v shuai lorz. ohohoho~

yeah i noe i blend in with e mrt.

ah ma hse looking festive, my ah gong decorated those lorz. surprise surprise. haha~

n yes, my bro is pr5 but he's still veri much a fan of cartoon. boys will be boys mahz.

qian n megan have e same hair! she's my cousin, fyi.

megan's newborn sister is oni 3mths old, which means i have a cousin who's 24yrs younger than me. -_-

then met e sistas for dinner at tcc raffles city (not much restaurants are opened anw).

i tink he arrived on cny eve late nite, then left for hk again on chu si. heng hk is near, imagine flying to/fro US juz for cny~

see, tat sissy horz... used my camera n self-portrait himself so many times....

equivalent to e no. of times i used my camera to self-portrait lorz. sissy is as vain as a girl (ie. me), but at least im using my own camera. -_-

qian's korean client

a-na-ha-se-yo! i audited a huge korean enterprise's singapore office recently n quite saa-raang it wor~ haha~

decent view frm e room tat client arranged for us in their office, suntec tower 3. my VT (aka intern) can see her sch (SMU) frm e audit room lorz.

realised alotta pwc ppl's are in suntec at e same time, alotta clients there. when my team logged into colligo, we can see another pwc team who's one floor above us lorz. cool~

tis korean enterprise has a veri interesting organisational structure:

.

- every head of dept is a korean staff sent frm korea HQ. finance, sales, MD~

- all korean staff sent to overseas offices muz be married n family will follow

- kor expats will go back to kor HQ at e end of their 4th yr at overseas office

- they'r usually promoted once they go back to HQ at e end of their term

which basically means there are lotsa koreans in tat office, but no cute ones. hmm~

anticlockwise: me looking like shit tat day, my gorgeous n tall senior, much sought-after A1 (heard alotta mgrs like her) n my v happy intern ('happilly' is part of her name).

most imptly, our korean client kept feeding us with food throughout e engagement!

e 1st mon we were there, client brot us to lunch at ichiban boshi. overdose of sashimi.

e same wk on wed, client treated us to a ribeye steak set lunch each at olio dome. forgot to take photo of e yummy steak, oni rem e cake. hehe~

they gave us a set of korean rice cakes as chinese new year gift e following mon. looks veri exquisite n appetising but none of us like it, actually.

n when e partner n mgr came down for review e day b4 cny eve, e whole lot of us went soup restaurant for a 8-course lunch. client paid for e $248+++. hoho~

mgr is quite okay, kept telling us gossips. n partner is veri charming, even my client (e snr finance exec) agrees. haha~

huat ah! we beat many ppl in lo hei b4 cny. haha~ sorry bad picture quality, sucky camera phone.

my korean client (e finance mgr) is so wonderful, funny, easy-going, always accede to our requests. it's juz too bad im not booked for nx yr's audit.

nite view frm e audit room....

we were ensuring everything's in order e nite b4 e partner arrives at client's place to review our work.

but e partner threw us a bomb e day b4 cny eve lorz, made us do more work n cant take full day off on cny eve. oh well~

but overall e job's veri fine. learnt alotta things abt korean culture when lunching with e client:

.

1) it is disrespectful to face husbands w/o makeup, so wives oni remove their makeup after their husbands slept (likewise in e morn)

2) korean wives gotta wake up v early in e morn to prepare bfast (rice) for their husbands

3) husbands' salary are credited into their wives accounts directly, e wives will then issue daily 'pocketmoney' to em

4) korean men smokes alot, it's like they HAVE to smoke

5) they entertain alot, n drinking is part of e entertaining ritual, like china lorz (heng tis client nv bring us drinking)

6) employees in korea do not take MC (ie. bring flu virus to work)

7) 5 days of annual leave is all they get in korea, n usually employees do not utilise all 5 days

.

so it's not veri welfare to work in korea, but if u'r an employee of their sg office u'll still get 14 days of annual leave lahz.
