3 days of cny!

i always tot my hse looks exceptionally bright and sparkly on the 1st day of chinese new year. gong xi gong xi gong xi ni~~

ahh e usual, visiting relatives' hse to bai nian on chu yi. n as usual, im still not sure how they are related to me. haha~

oh but perk tis yr! spotted a cute guy! supposedly a distant cousin, i presume. realli gd looking, can visit em more. woohoo~

ah ma! wat a unintentionally candid photo of her. LoL~

i photoshopped away most of my ah ma's crow's feet lehz, cool huh. hehe~

my dad got himself a new pair of glasses (rayban de wor) which look exactly like mine, but $300 more ex. vain~

went sentosa flowers with my family n my auntie. took e newly commenced sentosa express there. n it was damn packed can. gosh~

n sporeans are realli kiasu lahz, esp e aunties. aiyooooo~ i must NOT be like em when im middle aged - repeat 1k times

e svc rendered by e sentosa staff was great, realli friendly n helpful. did an excellent job at ctrlling human traffic too. thumbs up!! hoho~

nth interesting abt e flowers, realli. they'r juz like a bunch of tiny wild flowers to me lorz. but e colourful sight was quite soothing lahz, suits e occasion.

e rascals. havent been to such a chaotic n noisy outing in awhile. moral of e story: STOP AT 2. LoL~

e bogus angmoh kia (but he's 100% sporean), my auntie's youngest kid. v cute, esp when he poses for photo, but oso v terrorising.

if u realised, tis is e 1st time im praising a kid in my blog. n tats oni cuz he looks angmoh. haha~

shopping solo!

my shoes are wearing out faster after i started working. mom said it's not auspicious to buy shoes during cny so muz buy b4 cny, but nobody's free, so i went shoe-shopping alone. hoho~

bot e fake adidas bag for juz $15 at bugis village. intended to use it as a laptop bag cuz it's v light, but i oni realised it's not big enough after i reached home. -_-

accomplished my mission by buying 2 pairs of shoes frm mondo @ far east plaza tho. v cheap, $36+ altog oni. but abit regret buyin e white one cuz i have similar shoes.

realli hope tat 2 pairs of mondo shoes dont hurt too much sia.

solo shopping = speed shopping sia, i spent oni 1hr each to finish combing bugis village n far east plaza. initially tot there wont be huge crowds on wkdays, but it was still v crowded lorz. crazy cny shopping.

also, besides shopping for new clothes n shoes, chinatown is a must-go during e cny period! juz love tat place sia.

but it's a lil sad tis yr, cuz i oni have time to visit chinatown on wkends. preceding yrs' visits are always on wkdays when it's less crowded. one of e many minuses of being an auditor eh.

anyways, realli felt e festive mood after visiting chinatown. everybody's looking so happie cuz cny's juz round e corner! =)))

my (twisted?) beliefs

- if u took chinese exams in a sg sch, u muz be at least moderately gd in chinese. sg chinese who claim tat they cant speak chinese are quite bullshit.

- sg is an island, so sporeans muz know how to swim. if msia decides to attack us one day we can all swim to indonesia. LoL~

- being rich doesnt mean u can step on everybody else. hehz~

- a pms-ing gal doesnt have e perogative to throw temper at everybody. learn to ctrl it, babes.

- gals are meant to dote upon cuz they'r such lovely creations. hoho~

- guys are made to be testerone-driven egoists. so juz give in to their ego at times, n slap em when their testerones get overboard. haha~

- male chauvinist pigs are out. pls wake up your idea, it's e 22nd century now.

- vicious cycles will continue unless someone breaks e cycle. so stop bullying ur junior!~

- e more u'r paid, e more of ur heart n soul your boss expects to be sucked by work.

- im not wrong if u'r blocking e way n i knock into u while tryin to get thru. in fact, i do purposely knock into ppl who's blocking e way.

- insomnia is irritating cuz it's a complete waste of time. but over-reliance on slpin pills are not gd either.

- a person do not need to slp for 12hrs everyday, slp 7hrs n use e remaining time to do sth more constructive. hello, life is short!

- long longgggg baths makes e skin wrinkly n has little value-added, in my opinion. but daily baths are still essential! haha~

bangkok @ nite

bkk chinatown was a totally different place at nite!~

there were alotta food stalls by e road sides, n suddenly e place was bustling with lotsa ppl greedy for food!

we passed by tis stall selling bread, n their bread looked so yummy! like ya kun lidat sia.

their durians are huge! damn huge durians, twice e size of those we used to see in sg.

it's juz a push cart stall, full of durians. v retro feeling, i like. haha~

durians r packed using tracing paper, how special. ah cai gor gor bought one for us to try, but i din like cuz it's too fleshy, v gerlaat.

then we went nam sing for bird's nest. among all e bird's nest shops there, i tink nam sing looks most likely to serve authentic bird's nest.

200B/bowl, on e cousin's tab again. tastes realli nourishing. cheers to smoother n prettier skin! thx ah cai gor gor!~

e cousin's range rover-ish car, gd for driving up e mountain areas where all e mines are. (he works for a mining company, may i remind u) e cousin offered to bring us to visit his mines e nx time we visit. hoho~

travelling with aunties can be quite frustrating at times, but thank goodness for ah cai gor gor!~ heee~

since it was our last nite in bkk, we decided to sneak out (we bluffed e aunties) after bird's nest n went nana!~

it's a clubbing place. we wanted to visit the bed supperclub, but cant seem to find it.

tat seems like a damn happening place frm e photos lorz, a shd-go. =(

so we found a decent (there were quite afew sleazy clubs) lounge n chilled out there instead. name's zanzibar btw.

i ordered sex on zanzibar (tastes like sex on e beach) n yul ordered singha beer (bitter aftertaste). cheap lahz. e drinks i mean. hehz~

did u notice e same waitress in e backgrds?

she's amiable enough to win e G.E.M.S. award (if they have it in bkk), but somehow she juz had to appear in a ghostly manner in all my photos. hehz~

bangkok continued

prepared these remaining bangkok posts long ago, juz nv had e chance to post it... until now. hehe~

i forgot to mention e bfast at asia hotel. i tot it was pretty gd, esp e eggs! n yul actually hates eggs, aiyo.

those are e various bfast yummies there, pancakes, eggs n watermelon! oh e milk tastes gd oso! hee~

then we took a cab down to pay respect to e famous four-faced buddha..

their taxis are so colourful n cheap!

most taxis go by metre now n all e drivers we met (all fervent buddhists) are honest ppl, nv once attempt to cheat our money.

heard tats e restored buddha, e prev one was disfigured by a mad man. tink me n yul looked like beauty pageant contestants. haha~

it's realli gd to have a faith, which i believe is wat made e thais vv kind ppl. as long as faith doesnt turn deviant n blind, e world shd be a better place horz? hmmm~

we oso took their skytrain. nth extraordinary, except for tis...

e thais are actually queueing up for e train! so orderly lorz! unlike in sg where we juz push n shove. hehz~

ahhhh~~ e veri popular MBK shopping centre~~

it's always crowded sia, mostly with sporeans n angmohs. super alotta angmohs there, n most of em had a thai female companion. hmmm~

e backs are back! haha~

anyways tat place is like far east plaza in sg, but messier n far cheaper.

sporeans definitely hafta buy some bras frm MBK! cheap cheap!~ hee~

some food consumed there..

lunch: thai fried spicy noodle n pork knuckle rice. e noodle was nice!~

dessert: e bird's nest was a cheater of my 100B, but e baskin robbins choc cheesecake n strawberry cheesecake ice cream was fantastic! much better than e ones in US, bah~

dinner: jap ramen with curry sauce which was not bad, jap spicy dry ramen which sucked.

ZEN - don ever try banana honey juice, it sucks. haa~

shuaiges!~ saw tat thai pop star (left) on e tv in MBK n was mesmerised by him instantly. thai guys are generally gd looking, higher quality than sporean guys lorz. LoL~
