time flies, seriously.

reminiscing 2005 in (almost) chronological order

- high fever on e 1st day of chinese new year.. e fortune teller on tv was saying ppl borned on e yr of rat will face health probs in e new yr... 'yah right!' was my response to e fortune teller... but he was realli right... -_-

- asthmatic bronchitis followed after e high fever, took me a mth to fully recover.. i ended my vday with a visit to my doctor..

- became e chairperson for ntu national invitational shoot

- broke up with my (then) bf

- scored AABB for semester 1 exam

- did attachment at AIA for 2.5mths.. had a great time working with fishy n geri...

- spent a bomb on my bdae party... abit regret spending so much $$...

- went brisbane to visit yul for a wk! had fun!

- cut my hair short (but not short enough)

- grew back my hair (so much for e change in image.. hehz)

- saw my ex doing roadshow outside JP n siam-ed him

- stupidly took up e huge post in ntu arc

- did aa206 proj with a bunch of nice gals... will nv noe em if i nv defer my aa206...

- had my 1st tuition kid.. n he scored an a1 for e subj i tutored him! btw anybody who knows kids who needs amaths tuition pls pls plss jio me k...

- had dinner with e bp ppl in can3... such a rare chance man..

- became mugging buddies with ryan... yes ryan, surprise surprise~

- scored ABB+ for semester 2 exams... now they have e pluses n minuses!

- moved outta hall... finally moved out after 2.5yrs..

- set up a blog... been wanting to set up one, but u noe... procrastination...

- spent an unprecedented amt of time with e sisters (we 4 alw stick together!) n brothers tis dec hols.. nice~

- worked in hp with all those crazy fellas... spent more time having fun than working, machiam like paid to have fun lidat...

- attended tons of 21st bdae parties.. with hong's as e finale.. happie bdae all 21-yr-olds~

- saw my ex doing roadshow outside orchard mrt... n i siam-ed him again..

- spent xmas eve at ryan's hse n new yr eve at miao's hse.. tis is e 1st yr we spent both xmas and new yr together sia...

- suffering frm cough... again... perverse version of 'all's well tat ends well'...

foreseeing my life in 2006

- less frequent blogging.. n number of boring posts to increase sharply

- getting another tuition kid... i need $$! pls gimme another tuition kid fast!

- finish my fyp... can we juz get it over n done with fast, so sick of it already... started much earlier than others but progress is nowhere faster than others..

- work & travel usa! new york here i come!!~

- spending my 22nd bdae in US... having romantic dinner with some shuai ang moh studying in harvard mayb... ahehehe~

- attend convocation... i hope im not e oni one in e morning session!

- step down n retire frm ntu arc... let e bloody club die, it'll no longer be my business... muahahaha~

- learn driving (hopefully)

- stop siam-ing my ex (hopefully)

- start work as a boring auditor

- becomes an unwilling slave to my work

- loses social circle cuz im juz too occupied with my audit work, unreluctantly

- spends xmas n new year with financial statements and audit software

- becomes all alone

- transforms into a true blue no-life boring auditor with no frens.

seems like 2006 is not so much to look forward to huh... haha~

i kept siam-ing u for unknown reasons.. im sorry but it's like in my instincts to siam u, it's unexplainable. but i hope u'r doing fine, in e pink of health, earning lotsa $$... if u'r attached, i'm sincerely happy for u. if u'r still single, hope u'll find a girl tat u love alot, n tat loves u back. mayb in 2006 i'll try not to siam u again k...

tis yr, i came to noe alot of new frens. became gd frens with some... developed feelings for a selected few (but not simultaneously okayyy)... but none worked out... i guess being fabulously single is still e best, no guilt, no disappointments n no heartaches...

relationship with old frens improved alot too. however, tats gonna chg as it's my last sem n when i start work i'll have less time to meet up with frens.. i was asking hong if she tinks tat i'll still be spending xmas and/or new yr with e sisters n brothers n she said no... haiz~ but whenever there's gathering muz still jio me k, if i can i will try my best to turn up...

scored pretty okay in e exams tis yr, hoping for a 2nd upper class honours. im not a competitive person when it comes to studies, but i'll still try n do my best. doing well academically doesnt mean much to me, cuz i tink academic excellence doesnt neccessarily means career excellence. like i alwayz tell my gd fren, 'getting 1st class honours doesnt mean i WILL be a billionaire'. haha~ e 2nd upper target is juz sth for me to work towards lahz, muz be a lil goal-oriented to make life meaningful rite... hehe~

looking back at wat e ppl around me went thru in 2005... a number of frens broke up with their long time lovers... some frens are finally attached again after so long, but one of em is treating her bf as her pet n another got himself entangled in a triangle... n a minority of frens continue to remain happily attached..

ting told me '2005 is a yr of breakups'... but i tink it's a yr of breakup for some of us oni lahz, other ppl are still happily in love... haha~ but yes, like ting, i oso hope tat 2006 will be a yr of love for everybody... happy new yr everyone!~

how to apply moisturiser on ur back

having veri bad sunburn on ur back? but cant reach ur back cuz u'r too inflexible? no gf to help u with it? part time gf not available (cuz, well, she's oni on a part time basis)? don wanna ask ur roomie to help u cuz u both will look so gay?? try these ways:

method 1 - if u happen to be frm e hockey team (hockey ppl are inflexible, i generalise), wrap one end of e hockey stick with tissue paper. dip e tissue into moisturiser. using e hockey stick to "lengthen" ur arm, reach for e sunburnt parts on ur back n apply moisturiser. if u do not possess a hockey stick... juz use any stick lahz! duhz.

method 2 - soak towel with moisturiser. stretch towel out with both hands. apply moisturiser on ur back using e "洗刷刷" action.

method 3 - spread moisturiser evenly on e floor. roll on e moisturiser-rich floor several times to obtain an even spread of moisturiser on ur back.

e 1st 2 methods are "invented" by me. tho method 3 might give a more even finish, but it'll be a chore to clean up e mess afterwards. whereas for method 1 u juz needa dispose of e tissue, n for method 2 u juz needa dump e towel into e washer. so i tink my methods are still e best. haha~

i spent christmas eve at ryan's house, n we had lotsa fun!~



tis is e christmas tree in ryan's house, v pretty. my own "xmas tree" is nothing as compared to tis man. but i still like my own. hehe~

ryan's family realli put xmas gifts under e tree lehz, even the maid has a gift. such a nice family huh...

it's bbq time! it's nice to have a big house lehz, can alwayz ask frens to go over for bbq..n n the maid will do all the preparing of food n cleaning up.. e food is nice, bbq-ing is fun too!

all she does is bring plates over to collect e cooked food. oh, she claimed to be a great help in testing whether e food is cooked - by eating e food. -_-

hong meimei had a shocking appetite yester nite, she ate like tons of food n had unprecedented cravings. are u sure u'r not pregnant, hong meimei?? haha~

joseph wore a singlet frm tis well-known local gay brand. n cuz of tat we made fun of him when we played the water game. it made him stayed silent for quite awhile. haha~

we gals bought a small log cake there, quite pretty lehz.. e present was a xmas gift frm miao to ryan.. where's ours, miao darling?? how come oni ryan has xmas gift??

i was e biggest loser during e game. had to drink 2.5 cups of water in one go, n it seriously din go well with all e bbq food, durian n log cake. damn bloated lahz... eewww~

after playing e water game n bursting everybody's bladder, we chit chatted abit, decided tat we'r hungry again, went for supper, chit chatted again, n left at 6am to catch e 1st train home. it was drizzling over at serangoon lorz, damn cold. n no cabs stopped for us, so we had to walk to serangoon mrt station in e cold rain. *shiverz*

zzg dozing off on e NEL. looked abit uncle-ish here, esp with tat pair of shoes of his. he muz have love it alot, wears it v often, even when going to e hall canteen to buy food...

i juz noticed frm e photo tat frm e reflection i can see me n hong. we sat opposite zzg n i was bending over to hong's side so tat i can snap a picture of zzg without e stupid pole blocking...

we were pretty awake after we alighted at outram n transferred train, so we chatted on e train while e rest of e ppl on e train were dozing off. there were quite alotta ppl on e train, surprisingly. but they'r mostly middle age ppl going to do their morning exercises or going to e wet market. i tink 30yrs down e road i mite be joining em on e mrt at 7am on a sunday...

i reached home even b4 e sun rise sia, tats like, such a miracle. im seldom awake at 7am de lorz.. but i slept till 3pm tis afternoon lahz... hehe~

it's one of my favourite hols! i like the festive lights n festive mood n festive movies whenever xmas draws near.

i still rem when i was young i hung a sock so tat santa could put my xmas present inside. when i woke up i found a sprouting onion in it, courtesy of my mum. -_-

no more socks tis yr! we have a "xmas tree" in da house! it's a farnie xmas tree, to be exact... not e typical xmas tree u'll expect...

few wks ago i noticed tat my grandpa bought tis tiny pine tree lookalike plant n placed it in the living room. my mum noticed it too, n joked tat we shd buy some xmas lights to decorate it.

a few days later i noticed some changes to the pine tree lookalike. my grandpa added holly lookalike artificial flowers on the tree. my grandpa is damn cute lahz, donno wat he's up to. but im quite sure he seriously don meant for the tree to look xmas-y. we were laughing at my grandpa's creativity.. haha~

e nx day, my dad came back from work with ikea's xmas lights.. haha~

he brought back 4 colours. e pink lights look like red, doesnt go well with the tree. e red lights look like chinese new yr. the blue lights simply clash with the tree. e green lights are e best, tho they look like yellow lights. frm e photo realli look like a xmas tree huh.. so prettyyy.. hehe~

i have a farnie family sia.. haha~

going off to have xmas bbq with the brothers n sisters soon, i hope it doesnt rain over there! merry xmas eve everyone!~

movie marathon!

earlier tis wk i went on a movie watching spree! already arranged to watch "perhaps love" with the sisters (yes we 4 alw stick together) in the afternoon, then last min my aunt had free preview tickets to "the family stone", so it became a movie watching spree! hee~

ting told me it's vv nice, like "moulin rouge". but i tink "moulin rouge" is much nicer, and e "moulin rouge" ppl can sing better. e perhaps love songs are not as nice, not even when e 歌神 is singing..

n tis person... wats his name? ji jin hee isit? he's like e joker in da show man. he kicked start e show by his singing. once he sang e 1st line everybody was laughing, cuz it's realli farnie for him to sing in mandarin.. n he doesnt sing v well oso. n for e rest of e show he's like an extra, popping out once in awhile acting as various farnie roles..

zhou xun. she can look quite pretty n glam n character at times, but can also look weirdly ugly. she cant realli sing oso, but can act okay.

ahhh... takeshi kaneshiro. he's e reason i kept my butt stuck on the uncomfy n cramped seat in lido throughout e 2hrs. i find it a draggy show btw, n abit too artistic for me to appreciate.

unlike zhou xun, takeshi looks good anytime in the show man. his eyes can electrocute girls from like 10km away. haha~

after watching the show i finally know why he said no when the reporters asked if filming tis show made him wanna cut a music album again. he cant sing. god is fair.

the family stone

it's supposed to be a lil like "love actually", but again i tink "love actually" is nicer. a pretty heartwarming comedy i muz say. it set lulu's tears flying at e end. haha~

the "perfect son" in the movie, dermot mulroney. he has tis weird charm tat makes ppl like him. i don tink he's the supeR gorgeous kinda guy (he has tis scar above his lips), but he juz attracts ppl with his unique charm in his various movies.

him in "the wedding date". v charming. i find "the wedding date" nice, but it's not a big hit movie. watched it twice on my 8hr flight back home from brisbane on qantas last hols.

him in "my best friend's wedding". he's the best friend, julia roberts' best friend. tats e movie tat sorta shot him to fame. yes i realised e photos cannot make it, but tats e best i can find. afterall, e movie's 9yrs ago lorz..

1) the extremely longggggg queue outside MoS yesternite, causing us to hafta chg venue to zouk cuz we tot it'll be less crowded there.

2) the HUGE crowd at zouk. it's so uncomfortably crowded in there tat we escaped at 1230, when e music's juz getting great.

3) listening to couples tat did not have a clean breakup n still 纠缠不清 now. juz end up making themselves feeling miserable.. n making their frens (me) feel sorry for them..

4) girlfriends who 'abuse' their boyfriends. okay mayb not irritated, juz full of pity for the boyfriend..

5) the stupid lousy search engine tat im testing in HP. tats taking sooo long to load.. i havent done much work since 11am today..

6) frens/colleagues who kept teasing me non-stop. grrr~

7) having to guess wat is implied by the whole conversation.. like means like, don like means don like, why muz infer sia?? irritating....

8) hopes tat were repeatedly dashed... wth, i tink i shd juz heck it lahz..

9) not being able to decide on which Prescribed Elective to take. n subj reg is tmr...

10) it's hols but yet there are so much things tat i wanna do but have no time to do...

11) my cough. n it's getting worse...

12) forgetting tat i hafta go my ah ma's hse for dinner tonite. seriously getting senile..

13) seriously needing someone to sayang me now but there isnt any..

e grasshoppers!

my mum was browsing through the tv channels in the living room yester while i was in my room slacking.. suddenly i heard familiar music coming out from the living room, so i dashed out n saw e grasshoppers performing on e channel 8 charity show!

havent seen em for soooo long u noe, tot they retired or wat.. seeing em performing again brought back all my childhood memories sia.. hehe~

i was a HUGE fan of theirs when i was in upper primary.. yes upper primary, tats how old r grasshoppers are... i went to dig out all their albums from my cupboard, n realised i have quite alot of em.

top left: e 1st ever cd i own in my life, it's a pirated cd but it has all e vv nice songs of e grasshoppers. 10yrs ago pirated cds are rampant le okay, cheap n gd mahz..

top centre: my fav grasshoppers cd, 爱不怕! they were damN 红 then lahz.. i tink remus choy looks v gd in tat album. he's e one in e centre. by then i was like totally crazy over em le.

top right: i bugged my mum to buy it for me cuz i din noe it's a cantonese album.. din realli have an affinity for cantonese songs at tat time..

bottom left: it's a 精选辑 with all their classics... but it's scratched n e music kept skipping.. =(

bottom right: e last album of theirs tat i have.. tink after tat they nv released anymore mandarin albums.. until e recent 精选辑 with e super ugly cover.. by tis album their popularity waned le, so i tot they retired after tat. but juz now i was surfing the net for em, n it seemed like they'r still v active in the hong kong showbiz..

my my, they are damn old albums sia... abt 10yrs old... n they still look the same 10yrs later!

my fav guy is remus choy, e one in e centre! i tink he's e shuai-est n most charming among all.. nicest bod n nicest voice! hehe~

remus choy n calvin choy (right) are brothers, edmond soh (left) is their cousin or wat i tink.. calvin is in charge of producing their albums, remus is in charge of doing e lead singing n charming the crowds (tats why he's alwayz in e centre u see), n edmond.... i tink he's juz there to make up e numbers.. he abit cmi lahz.. haha~

when i was in primary 6, i was so crazy abt em tat i bugged my dad to bring me to tis outdoor mini concert of theirs in sentosa. we had to smuggle in cuz we had no tickets, throughout e whole concert we were so scared we'll be exposed n get thrown out man.. haha~

cuz we cant sit in front n attract attention, so we oni saw 3 ants dancing around throughout e concert...... -_-

e balcony

went to the recent 'in' place yesternite with the brothers n sisters. 'in' cuz it's like everybody's talking about it recently. i din see the legendary swings, but i did see the jacuzzi n went to the legendary unisex toilet tat was pretty dirty (isit cuz e guyz are using it too? haha~).

while we were there, there was tis grp of ppl sitting on the couch-like bed... bed-like couch... wateva. after hanging out on the couch/bed thingy for awhile they all stripped down (different frm stripped naked) n all jumped into the jacuzzi pool tats in front of our table.

there were 2 gals with em, who stripped to their bikinis. e sisters tink those 2 gals have average looks n average figures oni, but e brothers were having such a good time ogling at em lorz.. my god... 男人都是贱货...

oh, e mean qian was at work again tat nite, but tis time it was unintentional. b4 e brothers n sisters met up, ronnie called me. here's how e conversation went:

me: suntec crazy midnight sale (it's realli crazy i tell ya)
ronnie: im at raffles city. later we go balcony together ok?

at tis moment e nx thing i wanna ask is if he drove, cuz he usually drives n fetches us when our gang hangs out together. but b4 i cld ask...

me: (blurted instinctively) then u call me for wat??
ronnie: ......................

oops... sorry ronnie, i don mean it. haha~

but usually ronnie don call me n ask to go to e gang's meeting place together de mahz... so i tot mayb he drove n was being nice by offering me a lift... hehe~

on my 1st day of work as a 'tester' in HP, cuz my stupid fujitsu laptop oni accepts the LAN point tats far frm e rest of my frens, i hafta sit alone n far away from em. tis fellow temp staff happened to sit in front of me. so when i faced probs with my work i'll ask him since he worked there longer than me n he's nearer to me than my frens.

we conversed a little. he asked me if the expresso frm the nescafe coffee maker in the pantry is bitter (free flow of nescafe drinks!) n i kept asking him how much more stuffs there are to finish.. i oso noe he's frm SMU doing business.

but today, he suddenly came up to me and said "hi, 可以认识你吗?"

the mango war

i shop v often this hols, but i alwayz end up going home empty handed. except for today, when i finally bought some stuffs! =)

me n my nbs buddies met at 9am in the bloody morning, juz so tat we cld be e 1st to snatch the mango stuffs tat were on sale. but hundreds of females woke up earlier than us man, we even had to queue juz to get into mango.

on our way to shaw mango we even saw females walking from taka to shaw, with a mango plastic bag full of clothes already. in case u don understand, it means they are done grabbing the taka mango stuffs and are moving on to grab the shaw mango stuffs...

it was like a war zone inside mango man. females can be realli kong bu, seriously. we spent like 2hrs in in the mango war, and came out feeling as if we have lost the war. cuz the 3 of us oni bought a pair of jeans + a jacket + 3 bags in total, when every female who came out of mango carried with em at least a big plastic bag full of mango items.

having a headache now man, all cuz of having to wake up at 730am. but end up oni bought a pair of jeans.. hehz~

i finally figured out how to upload my profile pic.. n inserted links... updated my profile data... added in a tagboard n statcounter! muahahaha~

i copied e nice titles n replicated them to create additional titles. see the statcounter and tagboard titles? i did em! muahahaha~

sometimes im amazed by myself, i can figure out wat the messy alien html codes are roughly about and extract the stuffs that i wan n replicate. hehe~

now my blog looks more complete, finally. thanks sissy a.k.a. the encyclopedia for the help given! (apparently IQ 133 donno how to read html, but IQ 127 can! =P)

mahjong session at my hse!

having to travel all the way frm boon lay to sengkang all the time for mahjong, i decided tat i had enough. it's my mahjong kakis' turn to come to my hse for mahjong!

u noe sissy is alwayz e biggest loser in mahjong, so with him around i'll nv be worried tat i'll be e biggest loser... haha~

he was still e biggest loser on tat day. -_-

see how they messed up my room.. my room is abit too small for 5 ppl to mahjong, sorry for e uncomfy-ness folks.. i wish i cld be richer too.. haha~

after mahjong, time for dinner! lulu was craving for ramly burger n pasar malam food, so we dabao-ed e food n settled down at this 'pavillion' below my blk. if u havent realised, i superimposed 2 pictures into 1. not a gd job, but will do lahz huh...

everybody's enjoying their food! sugar cane juice, tea eggs, tapioca cakes, fishballs, etc etc etc.. *droolZ*

tis is e 'pavillion' i was talking abt... quite nice lahz.. al fresco dining in a twisted sense.. haha~ but lotsa mosquitoes n lizards.. i cant stand e mosquitoes n lulu was freaked out by the lizards, so we left soon after we gobbled up our food.

quite a fun day i muz say. hey mahjong kakis, u ppl shd travel to boon lay for mahjong more often yeah?? =P

hong's bdae partie!~

it was hong's bdae partie yester! at maysprings, quite a nice club house they have there. me n ryan reached there quite late, cuz i had to do OT until 630 n ryan donno why die die oso wanna go there with me. tink cuz he wanna steal me to be his partner eh.. haha~


e sisters! with e bdae princess in e middle with her lovely tiara n e lovely pink-princess dress which we combed e whole orchard road for... -_-

hong's jc frens.. apparently the smallest grp of ppl at the party.. desmond's such a nice person, he drove us to lash lehz... then he went home after he drove us there... -_-

after tat i tink e lot of us took the merlion joke too far n made miao quite upset.. she din order any drinks at lash.. n we kept asking her to take picture with e reaL merlion outside lash esplanade.. sorry miao darling... =P
