All the Christmas things.

Long post loading...all the Christmas things!

{Christmas programs & class parties}

We kicked off the Christmas season with school parties and Christmas programs!  Owen had a wonderful holiday program at the Community Center Preschool.  It was so fun to watch him shine on the stage!
Auggie had his first ever Portuguese program this year!  It was amazing to see him sing in Portuguese, and I'm absolutely blown away at how well he speaks already.  I think a favorite memory has to be hearing "Bate o Sino" (Jingle Bells) all around the house for weeks and weeks.  He sang it so much that even Owen started to memorize it by the time Christmas rolled around.

"Hoje a noite é bela, juntos eu e ela
Vamos à capela, felizes a rezar
Ao soar o sino, sino pequenino
Vai o Deus menino, nos abençoar HEY!

Bate o sino pequenino, sino de Belém
Já nasceu Deus Menino para o nosso bem
Paz na Terra pede o sino alegre a cantar"

And on and on!  It was so fun.
Tis' the season.
{Nutcracker tradition!}

Every year we go to the Nutcracker production at the local high school, and every year the kids beg me to buy them their own Nutcracker dolls, and every year I tell them no.  Well, this year, I finally said yes!  I surprised them with their very own dolls before the play...and their thrilled reactions were worth the wait.
{Downtown Christmas lights}

Our friends from Pittsburgh, Heather and Mike, came and stayed with us for a few days during their most recent St. George trip.  They were here for a few weeks, which was really fun.  We took them to see the lights downtown, and they loved it.

I just love all of her outfits :).
This is basically the boys' energy vibe all season long.  Wild.
{Christmas Eve}

I crashed out on Christmas Day (like, sobbing uncontrollably in a dark closet kind of crash out 😂), but Christmas Eve was pure joy!  We had the best night showing the boys an edited version of Elf, followed by a spontaneous indoor snowball fight.

The boys are also in the phase of trying to prove that I'm Santa, so it was fun to find them hiding and whispering in the game closet.  Sneaky kids are the best.  I hung jingle bells on the door after that though, ha.
{Christmas morning}

Last year, Santa put lizards on the kids' stockings, and it was one of their favorite memories.  The kids were so excited he did it again!
This looks pyscho, but most of these gifts are from family and friends.  Santa brought very little of this pile, I swear!  Santa only wraps in coordinating purple and gold paper anyway 😏.

Right before my crash out.
We not only survived December, but dare I say we thrived December!  Merry Christmas.

Christmas Card 2026

This year, we had such a fun time taking our Christmas card photos!  I really wanted to do a moose + woodland theme because, why not?  I bought the boys moose sweaters and got matching plaid for Ginny and me.  The pictures turned out adorable.  I love a themed photoshoot sooooo much!

Nearly everything about December stresses me out, except for Christmas cards.  I don't know why, but I love them.  I love planning our theme, I love taking the photos, I love designing them, and I love receiving them.  It's my favorite tradition of the entire holiday season!

The only thing I regret this year is the pearl shimmer.  That's a very specific look that did not, in fact, jive with mooseland.  Oh well, you try and learn.  Overall, very happy with them!
Here are all of the pictures:
Six seeeeeeeeeeeven.  I do regret no putting this picture on our Christmas card!  I should have immortalized  6-7, ha.
They are both so cute and handsome!
Sweet Ginny!

Gobbler 2025

We had such a fun time at the Gobbler this year.  Ginny and I ran together...her first official road race!

What cute little runners we have!
