1) 4th (actually 5th..nyjc got 2 top four then can only receive one prize) in micromouse competition
2) 1st in Computron!
3) Failed (i mean expected to) my chem lecture test

Anyway for computron i won an all-in-one printer haha(the team got 3 pple, each person won 1)...got print, scan, copy and even fax!

But i havent played with the printer yet..cos it doesnt come with the USB cable -.-''
Anyway i got no time to play oso la..

Tomorrow is NSC....down at singapore poly...this is the biggest, most important(i mean to me la) competition among the 3...cos this is the competition i have been preparing for since the start of the year...going to sch every sat, carrying laptop around, getting my head cracked up solving problems.....

Yes, its referring to vjc..and the part about blogging being 10% of promos results is true also..cos its a computing assignment given to us(yes, including me) by our computing tutor.

Well, if case if you don't know, its a hive of activity (and anger) at vjc recently (more accurately, Victoria School, but u know the link between the two la)

Why suddenly so re nao?

Because, vs is thinking of going co-ed!

Yup, they are thinking of taking in girls, apparently to 'raise the standard of vs' and 'become a main feeder school for vjc'.

Of course, just like the time when ahs simplified her school lyrics, it met with violent objections.

After the article appeared in TNP on 17th aug, an online petition, a blog, and a forum were set up on the same day, and later, a letter to the today newspapers, a report in the straits times, and calls to oppose against the decision.

You can't blame them actually. They are very proud to be the 'last all-boys government school in singapore', and more importantly, their '129 years of tradition'(129 years you know!?!Your parents werent even born yet!).

Actually a similar incident happened in vjc not too long ago. You know, vs and vjc shared the same school song ma, then there's a verse in the song that goes 'thy sons are we'.

Our principal thought its a bit sexist for vjc, so played around the idea of changing it.Haha the same happened, and i think in the end they decide not to change.

I am not a victorian (i mean vs victorian), so therefore whether vs becomes co-ed or not is actually none of my business.

However, i truly apprecitate their school spirit, their willingness to stand together to fight against a decision(in just one afternoon!). Can see that they are very united, a strong sense of brotherhood in them.

The only thing i don't like is a comment made in vjc's blog on campusmoblog.

"As far as I know, with the exception of Dunman High, there aren't really any co-ed secondary schools with outstanding school results. As far as I know, most co-ed secondary schools have about as much school spirit as the seashells you can find at the beach."

Hey they cannot stereotype like that de lor..ahs has outstanding school results oso de ma.(we are in the same band as vs ok!?!) And what about schools like cchms? They certainly don't lag behind us! I personally think that it doesn't matter if a school is co-ed or single sex. Its more of the quality of the students themselves, whether they are willing to study or not.

As for school spirit, i also think cannot say other schs no school spirit. When one person stays in a particular place for so many years hor, sure bound to have feelings for the place de ma...its this feeling that makes up this spirit.

I don't blame the person who made that comment(i understand his feelings), but i thought he should be more sensitive about what he says.

Whatever it is, regardless whether vs becomes co-ed or not, i think the vs pple has already succeeded in making vs stay single sex. Why? I think they scared all the girls off liaox.

Hello to all.

Well yesterday morning i went to sch (as usual) for programming..(competition's coming and i stil suck at programming!).

After tt went to 7-11 opposite to have a quick meal, then went back to college for micromouse(haix).

Set off at about 3.30pm, not for home, but to raffles mrt to meet frens to watch performance..outside sch took bus 36 taking me to suntec..i tot sia la, i sure first to reach there de..

Reached suntec liaox had to walk through the crowd..then vv heavy traffic..

When i reached the bridge linking to citylink mall, i realised wah lao! It links to City Hall mrt!

In the end i reached raffles mrt 20mins later than the agreed time. Haix.

Anyway the performance was at the arts house at old parliament...

The drama was nice, though abit too short and abit too ex(even more ex for me because i dropped 10bucks haix)

The drama brought back beautiful memories for me...haha..for example the monitress standing in front of the class and wrote names of pple who talked..i still rmb back in pri sch days my class monitresses all vv commanding de..they stood in front, my classes all tiam tiam de...want to talk need strategy de..haha..they got tcher as kao shan ma..one of them was even the head perfect!

Then there were scenes of kids playing the pepsi-cola-one-two-three..then kicked each other's legs..

There was also the classic santa claus christmas tree, santa claus give present, santa claus cannot talk and cannot laugh (chanted in chinese)..haha..then the pple playing would stone..hahahaha.

What nice days. All disappeared since the first day of secondary sch(in fact p6...gotta prepare for psle who got mood to play such stupid games)

Come to think of it, those games really stupid sia..hahahahahaha...but it sure brings smiles to my face.

And nowadays, who else can silence the entire same-age class by just standing in front of the class and threatening to write names of those who talked?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!

I loved this drama.Haha.

After the drama went to singapore river to walk...

It suddenly dawned on me that all these while i have been looking at buildings, humans, words and words and words, computers and so on...so much so that i have lost touch of things that have evolved around me.

The singapore river is such a beautiful sight..the river is what attracted me.

The slow moving water was so calm, so comfortable to look at, the boats moving slowly..it was a joy simply to stay there and just enjoy the sight.

Later we passed by the fullerton hotel..and i realised it was also a beautiful building...so majestic, so grand, so posh...plus the bricks and concrete that made up this building and gone through quite alot of singapore history....

There was also the merlion...another structure that caught my eye for a long time....

Maybe i sua gu or something, but i think i should go back more often(i think after the exams ba).They are a totally refreshing sight after staring at vj buildings for such a long time.

I need space to truly relax and rest my eyes and thoughts. My eyes need to look at something d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t.

Reached home at about 11pm...of cos tio my mother scolded la..one of the fiercest times..this morning i woke up she still scolding.

Well, i'm a typical teenager. I do look forward to the day where i can really go out until the late hours of the night and not needing to worry about pressure building up in my house and blowing up in my face when i returned.

Really want to apologise to my fellow pw group members for not being able to go today's meeting..i have been grounded by my mother....really very very sorry...

With the end of this entry, i shall also declare that i will cut down on blogging so as to spend my time more wisely. Promos timetable is out, competitions are coming, and a farked up pw, no time to blog (almost) everyday liaox..occassionally i will feed some short info..but definitely no more long posts(like this one) until after promos..

Just a breakdown of what will happen me in this couple of months:

1)this tues: Micromouse compy at great world city..prelim round.
2)if (IF!) get past prelim rounds, thurs got final round.
3)This sat: Computron round 3 at NUS.
4)next sat: National Software competition at singapore poly.(no more presidential polling le)
5)28/9: GP paper, that week also spa week.
6)4/10 to 7/10: Promos,(luckily one day one paper only)

Hello.

Now i'm in the robotics lab using (taking advantage of) their comp haha.

Something happened todae(actually yesterday).

Last night my mother told me to eat a pear...then she went sleep liaox...so late at night i went to dig out the pear from the living room fridge(i have 2 fridges, one in living room, one in kitchen. Tt time the living room fridge spoilt liaox, so went to buy new one, but later the old one fix liaox then can use oso) and ate it.

This morning i woke up with my mother yelling at me for not eating the pear. After i explained to her, she told me she nvr left any pear in the living room fridge. She left it in the kitchen fridge.

I cant be dreaming..cos i watched the project superstar results after eating tt pear. So....
What did i eat last night?

Frankly speaking, if u see that i have become a totally different person ah, be sure to whack my head hard with something so that i faint, then chant something or pray or whatever ok?

Then again, maybe i'm just making a NUS out of PAP kindergarten.

Haiyo....now the ngee ann pple tell me they nvr receive my registration...luckily the person say can directly email her the names.
Actually i prefer email..those online registration stuff are so unreliable.Haha.

Wth la...the mouse tt we sent for repairs last week is spoilt again! Last time went to repair they replaced the bottom (bigger) circuit board....now the top (smaller) one is not working!

Those mouse are old liaox..they are obviously dying la..yet we get blamed for spoiling the mouse..say we nvr handle them properly...wth la...i dun see them thanking us when (if) we win something for the college..all the cost for repairing the mouse are almost enough to buy a new one liaox.
I feel like quitting robotics..when u are the odd one out in the entire cca u wun enjoy the activities at all..the good old ahs days are gone.....

Argh..now next tuesday is competition liaox..then now mouse spoil...not my mouse somemore lor...haix.

FInally completed the 2nd question of my coursework..actually still got the output part..but there should be easy...now left question 3...looks tedious..

Ni men hao!

Todae sch holiday, so stayed at home. Tried to do hw(read:Tried).

About 9.30am i set off to the tamp interchange to meet my fren. He borrowed my notes on sunday then he returned them to me todae. On my way home met another fren(whom i think is going library to study)

Later in the afternn went down to AI to collect the repaired micromouses.
On my way there i suddenly realised that i would have a problem bringing it home.(And as i expected, i really had a problem.)
What problem?

Well, the 2 mice were put into a big transparent box and i had to take tt big box home.Thanks to the terrorists who blew up london buses and trains, now everyone bei gong she ying. So throughout my journey home, the whole world stared at my box, worrying its a bomb.

People who were disturbed by my presence(or rather, the box) included:

1) several people at a bus stop i walked past

2) a boy(presumbly same age as me or slightly younger) at the bus stop i took bus 23(he looked at me twice)

3) the driver of bus 23

4) several aunties on the lower deck of the bus

5) i didnt take note of the people at the TP bus stop where i alighted, but i think some pple took notice of me

* the whole time i was carrying wif one hand, but after i alighted i hugged it with both hands as gravity got stronger *

6) This uncle who crossed my path on my walk home from the bus stop. He stopped dead in his tracks and stared at my box wif real big eyes.

* i avoided the shops and walked on the outside, i didnt want to block people's paths and attract more attention *

7) my own mother when i reached home.

Finally i got home (safely)..haha..and boy was i glad no one got too suspicious of me and called the police or something!(i was worried the bus driver would do that then a police car would follow the bus or something)
I was also lucky that i didnt have to take any train to go home, otherwise i think i may not be able to get out of the mrt station alive!
Now i am praying that there will be no terrorist attacks in singapore!

Or maybe, i'm just making a pacific ocean out of bedok reservoir. Haha.

Tml is thurs aka slack day! But got computing coursework..hope i can finish question 2 tml, then following 2 sessions finish question 3, then spend the last 2 sessions polishing up everything. Actually i dun like to program code in separate sessions. Whenever i go back to continue what i left off the last time, i will need to spend a few minutes trying to understand what i did. Its just like writing a compo then u stop halfway..when u continue the next time u need to get urself into the compo again.

VJC is in round 3 of computron!! (I'm not too happy actually) Hey they say can get supporters there leh..anyone interested to go and support me(to lose)? haha got door gifts and lucky draws for u all leh(i'm guessing its a mousepad haha)

Oh, i too, recently got to know a hidden secret of my class..and its also not a good secret...a dark one i should say.....

Its early at 8am and i'm here again!Same reason as last time la, last time reach home too late so went to sleep, so now then use.

Anyway yesterday went to the carnival at tampines...together with my love(again!) and my friends(again!).Tio conned go there to watch ndp...cos reach there liaox everyone dunwan watch =P Was about to go home when a fren called and joined me.

The place was so crowded that there was no place to sit...so we stood most of the time throughout the parade. Some cool moments include the fighter jets flying past us, hte fireworks, and of cos the mobile column! The show itself haha..its about the same every year la.But tio conned(again!) by fren..left the place rather early to go watch the mobile column..missed out the last parts of the parade..then the column only came after the parade! -.-''

The mobile column wasnt a letdown la...saw all the military equipment for the first time...the soldiers on those tanks oso vv friendly, waved to us as they went by.

Hmm...i find that national day celebrations are getting bigger and bigger every year...last time is just a parade at stadium or padang, now got celebrations at the heartlands, invite all the foreign stars to come, on radio can hear them wish singapore happy bdae etc..

What a weekend!??!!!!!
I dunwan to make u all(and me myself) bored with all the crap, so i just briefly list them down..

1) As expected, i was scolded for not doing spanish judge questions.

2) My first time slapping the PM..oops sorry..i mean doing survey. I was the lousliest among the members...got the least surveys..but hey, at first i thot of suggesting me guarding their bags while they do survey k...so its quite an achievement given my shy nature =P

3) The CC has very very friendly pple...they are willing to sit down and discuss with us over our PW, and gave us ideas etc...in fact they let us put our bags(including my laptop!) in the CC b4 we go do survey.

4) Must mention this *&#%!)&_&@)!&^#@( @ guy. My grp was gathering together talking, then there was this middle aged guy walking towards us(going to walk past us). Then he scared we approach him to do survey, so when he neared us, he took out his hp, said 'hello, erh' into his hp as he walked past us.
WTF LA! U DUNWAN DO OUR SURVEY THEN SAY LA...NO NEED ACT UNTIL SO FAKE LA!

5) Reached home at 7.30pm.(went out at 8.30am, reached home at 7.30.WHat's the diff between my sat and my weekdays???)

6) Sunday morning. WEnt back to the same CC to do survey...but done half heartedly. WEnt to Heartland Mall but little progress. Reached home at about 5pm.

*Side story* I took this train which was advertising silkair flying to cultural destinations.Then the entire floor had floorpaper(as opposed to wallpaper?) of tiles on earth..then the railings oso got fake leaves coiling around them...its vv nice. Actually i think our trains should have themes in them so that everytime we take train, we have a different feeling ma. *end of side story*

7) Evening went to meet my friend to pass him my notes. Then went with him and his little bro to the carnival at tampines..walked ard, sat down and watched performance.

8) Reached home at 9 plus.(WEnt out at 10am, reached home at 9pm. What's the diff between my sun and my weekdays???)

9) THis morning woke up with vv jovial mood, cos i noe todae no lessons, go sch for fun nia. Grabbed my sunday bag and went to sch.

10) About half the sch in uniform, the other half in red tops or enthic costumes. There was this guy (read: male) who wore the singapore airlines girl dress and attracted alot of laughs.

11) Halfway throughout the singing of national anthem, the national flag dropped down while rising halfway.

12) After concert, went to TM to meet up with my love and my old time friends. Had lunch at TM mac b4 going to fren's house to play.

13) Reached home at 6.40pm.

*Another side story* I thot the variety shows done by channel 8 recently are quite good..like the monday jack neo game show and the tues show showing unique buildings in singapore...quite nice and refreshing... *end of another side story*

15) Happy National Day!

Its early in the morning at 7am and y am i doing here?
Haha cos last night i reached home too tired liaox, so last night nvr use net, todae wake up then use.

What did i do yesterday? What else but micromouse? My teammates' mice are spoilt so i had to take them down to the company to repair...
Its going to cost over 200bucks....
So we had to carry so many boxes, take 2 buses there, after repair take 2 buses back to college...reached college only at 7.30....the time tt others are leaving the college..haix.

Yesterday was ahs 2.4km run at east coast...i didnt go of cos..was trapped inside a classrm..but in the afternn when i went to parkway to have lunch and even later in the afternn when i went to repair the micromouse, i saw quite a lot of ahs pple...at parkway food court i even saw the entire grp of non-teaching staff having lunch together!

So y did i wake up so early todae? Cos todae is going to be another busy day.
Going to sch later to continue my programming thingy(my senior is going to kill me for not doing spanish judge questions!).
After tt, going to meet up with my pw grp and some ulu place to do house-to-house survey....
Well u noe i'm shy around strangers de ma..then now they asking me to knock on doors and ask questions!?!
Its like asking to me to give the Prime Minister a slap!(aka impossible)
ANyway i proposed to do in pairs.(Err, i mean go door-to-door.Cant slap the PM even in pairs)

Late in the evening i meeting a sec sch fren opp my house..he wants my notes and mid yr papers to study...(wtf..my mid year papers are like shit, how to show him?!?)
But i'm not sure if i can meet him not...i already postponed the meeting from last week le..hope i can la..long time nvr see him liaox.

Yay monday celebrations until abt 10 only...can go off after tt...but i dunno wat i going to do after tt..there are talks of a class outing, but nth's confirmed.
I tot of going out with my sec sch frens, but it appears some of them have their own class parties liaox.
I tot of going back to ahs...but then it looks funny tt i go back alone..besides go back like nth to do also..

ALamak! Why did they put presidential voting day on a sat?!? Should have put on a schday then we no need lessons ma!
But my college going to be a voting station, so the principal was saying the day before tt sat(means fri la) we gotta clear the sch by 12 so they can prepare.
