SnOW fUn!!!

One of the highlights when we visit Grandma & Grandpa at Christmas time.....
IS
PLAYING
IN
THE
SNOW!!!!!
There is a slope across the street from Grandma's house, that is the perfect size for Noah. Although he calls it, "The BIG mountain I slide down!"
This year his jacket is slick & is perfect for sliding....probably better than a sled. Scott calls the jacket, "the big black bag." It does resemble a trash bag.
Nothings better than having SnOW fUn!!!

ALVINNN.......

Today we are celebrating Noah's fifth birthday a little early......so for the first celebration of the day......
Alvin & The Chipmunks II, on OPENING day....the VERY first showing....standing in line outside where it was 20 degrees, waiting for the theatre to open....thank goodness for a smart Grandma who bought tickets the day before while seeing a different movie {thank you Grandma}.....
Fun was had by all!

Look who's F.I.V.E.

Never have we entered a Build A Bear {until today}....but we wanted to celebrate Noah's birthday this year with something low key....

To be honest, I (Mom) did not want to go somewhere extremely kid public {Chuck E Cheese}, with so much sickness going around this year. I prefer to stay as healthy as possible. We've already gone to airports & sat on airplanes, but I need to do what I can. Call me neurotic...I don't care.....
So, Noah picked out his new puppy....
gave him some lovin'.......
watched as he became "real"....
gave him a bath & fluffed him up....
picked out some cool clothes.....
made him presentable for his big reveal.....
meet

Noah

and.....

BUDDY!

Happy Early Birthday Noah

Happy EARLY Birthday to our F.I.V.E. year old.

Hard to believe that he's 5!
He was very specific on what he wanted on his birthday cake...you would think after 3 "CARS" cakes over the years, that he would pick something different...but

Boys will be Boys!
It was a great day & it ended with a delicious ice cream cake & some fun presents.

Who could ask for more?!?!?

All Aboard.....

..........The POLAR EXPRESS
tonight we braved the cold weather and headed to Akron to board the Polar Express. We were a little taken back when we arrived & they told us our train car was full & we would have to break off in pairs of two in order to ride....BUT we had 5 people. I told the man, using a kind voice, we have 5 people, that will not work for us. He said, "let me see what I can figure out." Yes, I'm sure you'll figure out something. So, he was able to find us 6 seats together in a different car. This was the last ride of the season and it was FULL.

Come on board......and see the fun we had.............
Grandma Judi & Scott {aka Mother & Son}
Noah excited for the train to leave the station
having a jolly good time....
We listened to the Story, sung Christmas carols, had Hot Chocolate & Cookies...
HO HO HO.....look who came on board, once we arrived in the North Pole!! What a treat! Santa came and visited each child & took a photo with each one also.

It was a great night & now we just can't wait until he comes down our chimney!

Gingerbread House Party

Our neighbors, The Ryans, are our Party Friends! They like to have get togethers...and we like that!
Scott & Todd are Home Teacher Companions & are assigned to visit two families in our ward. They organized a Gingerbread House Making Party for their "visit" this month. We had a fun time, trying to make our houses stay together & look cute, without losing too much candy to certain little mouths!
{Noah & his buddy Madison, she wanted to be part of our "family" this night}
{Scott is pretty funny when he assembles the house...he has his way}

{I LOVE this picture!}
{and this one TOO!}
{our friends The Tanners}
{our friends The Ryans}

{I didn't get a picture of our friends The Tenneys}
{Noah & his Mom}

It was a fun night, with laughter, yummy treats, hot chocolate & friends.

We made it home with our "house"...walked it home down the street, put it on the counter....went upstairs to bathe Noah & came down to a COLLAPSED Home!!!

Ugh....oh well, it was a fun night!

I Saw Momma Kissing Santa Claus....

But No Worries!!! I kind of know this Santa!

So there was a very FIRST for someone in our family this year! With a "pretty please with a cherry on top", someone was convinced to play the Big Man in the Red Suit for the Breakfast with Santa party at church. Holy Cow! I was surprised that he agreed & still in shock that he did it!!!

And I must say.......HE'S A NATURAL! He did such a great job & the kids loved it! The best part was that people were "talking" and only a handful actually knew who it was. Funny.

Our friend Heather says, "he's jolly, he can pull this off!"

Well he was JOLLY!

Take a look at some of the pictures.....

{Noah, Madison & Buddy (my nickname for Santa's little elf!)}
{Noah had/has no idea who this really was, that was the best part!!}

{I loved this picture, he DID NOT want to be near Santa....Classic!}
