Green Acres

This school year has started out pretty busy.  But it is keeping this boy out of trouble.  You saw we have soccer and now we have added Horseback Riding Lessons to the schedule.  This is something this boy has wanted to do for awhile.  He's always asking to go riding and talks about it a lot.  So we looked into it and this week was his first lesson.

 

 

I know the pictures don't clearly show it, but he had a huge smile on his face for most of the time.  He was a little apprehensive in the beginning, but he warmed up to it.  This place is great, they get the kids right in there, working and grooming. 

 

We are hoping that he enjoys this and it does not become something

he HAS to do.

 

Soccer

Soccer, soccer, soccer.....

We have asked Noah every year, for several years, if he would like to play soccer. 

 

 

NO, that is always the answer.  Absolutely NO!

 

 

This year he came to us asking if he could play soccer.  We jumped all over that!

 

 

So...we have jumped right in and #9 is playing soccer this season!  So far, so good.  It was pretty warm on Saturday morning at our first game, and we had a 9:05 game.  Those poor kids who had the 11:15 games!  There is a heat wave coming this weekend....so this weekends game will be pretty warm.

Good Goalie!  Luckily when the ball was down by him, he was NOT doing this! 
He was a good Goalie....he took the job serious.

Second Grade

Here's to hoping that 2nd Grade is a good year.  So far so good, but it has only been 1 day!

Gathering Together

Every two years we have a Bradford Family Reunion.....

we just returned home & we had the best time. 

 I love my family! 

 There are 200 members and we had around 120 in attendace.

I'll write more later when I get caught up on laundry and life in general!

Summer Activities

Swimming, Swimming with cousins, Swimming.....

we LOVE Grandma & Grandpa's pool....

we only wish it wasn't an hour drive! 

But it's fun to have swim days with Noah's cousins!

oh and sometimes we throw in other activities...the beach, the library, miniature golf, movies, cousin sleepovers....and the dreaded summer worksheets (gotta keep up on our learning skills!).

We love summer!!

Summer Garden

A friend of ours wanted to take a peek into our backyard.  But he does not live in California.  So we took some photos to share with him.  It always amazes me how during the winter the yard is so bare and then come spring, things slowly start to perk up.  But, by summertime.....it's BEAUTIFUL! 

Scott is definitely very talented when it comes to flowers.  He's a natural and here is proof....

Our Garden...it has already produced a ton of lettuce, cabbage, onions...and we have had to share with friends because it's way too much for the two of us to consume.  We also had apricots galore....but they are done now.

 Now since our friend cannot just pop over for a visit, those of you who can, you know you are always welcome to come and visit!

one hair at a time....

It was time again to cut this boys hair!  But he was not too happy about it.  So Dad made him a deal....how about you do it yourself!??!

 He did great until the "clean up" part, he wasn't so happy with his Dad doing it...he said it hurts.  Whatever!

 But then I got this!  Cute boy.
