Shi Hui and I had originally signed up for the NTU talks today. Ended up not going because of the mounting school work. It is madness. The moment we finish one, another few pops up; it's never-ending.

Had lunch at Just Acia. I'm nuts about this place. There's a great variety of food (not all are nice) and there's free flow of drinks, soft serve and ice cream if you get a set meal. All for as low as $5.90. I tried the new dish called Creamy Tom Yum Spaghetti. Just talking about this pasta makes me crave for it again. It's nice! (:
We walked down to Bugis after lunch. Took awhile to find Sunshine Plaza. We went there to our groups' project posters printed. That itself took awhile. Killed the time by watching the shop auntie's son watch some HK drama on the computer and observing other customers and their works to-be-printed.
Did a bit of mugging at the National Library. The Study Lounge on the 5th floor is so nice. It even has vending machines selling snacks, sandwiches and drinks for the people studying in there! Maybe if people learn to clean up after themself, NYP wouldn't object to letting students munch in the library, huh?

Great ambience. Bright, spacious and peaceful. I'm tempted to come here to mug because of that, but nah. Just thinking about the traveling time to and fro turns me off.

Fooling around with our project posters. Those things cost $7 each to print!
Roamed around Bugis for a bit. I laughed in disbelief when SH suggested going to the temple to pray! Caught off-guard by the impromptu and unexpected suggestion. But yeah, we made a quick trip there. Explored OG and Bugis Junction too before heading home.
I've a super busy week coming up. Argh. It just means more sleepness nights. I want the coming week to be over as soon as possible.
And yahoo, Esther's back in Singapore! Welcome back. Shall see you super sooooooooon! (:

It completely slipped my mind to write in my diary or update my blog. The past two weeks passed in a blur. There're many exciting things I could have blogged about. Like the interviews my advanced food chemistry group did with two local yoghurt companies, SourMilk and The Yoghurt Place. Or my Seoul Garden lunch with Nabilah. Or my attending the Australian University Open Day to check out the universities. Or my steamboat dinner along Liang Seah Street (that's Bugis, if you don't know) with Woon Ching. Or my interesting interview for a volunteer job.
Guess I didn't have the mood to. Had more important things to take care of. People have been pouring their troubles to me. Even my own parents. I'm not going to air all the dirty laundry here, but I won't deny my parents' estrangement are driving me mad. And there's all the crazy project datelines to meet. I was an emotional wreck, but I scolded myself and got my act together. I'm my own counsellor. I can't show my weakness if I want to be other people's pillar of support. (:
Depending on where I'm posted to, I may end up being busy till mid-March. I'm thinking of signing on for more activities subsequently. I want to meet new people and drown myself in work. I don't want to think about problems that can't be solved anymore. (:
Life's too good to be spent idling or 'emo-ing'!
Yours sincerely,
Charmaine

My Christmas present from Raymond and Hanisah. If Fiza hadn't complained that he hadn't bought all his 'daughters' their birthday presents and that he'd better get us something for Christmas, we wouldn't be getting anything at all! I'm wondering what to do with the Christmas crackers he got us. I won't be pulling it because I hate sudden, loud noises. Maybe I'll just cut it open.
Had lunch at Far East Plaza (yay, tomyum ramen again!) as we had an interview at 3pm. We needed to interview food companies for our advanced food chemistry project. And since my group is working on yoghurt, we had to interview yoghurt companies. E-mailed a few companies and two replied.
MANY MANY THANKS TO SOURMILK FOR GRANTING US AN INTERVIEW! ♥

This is my second time buying SourMilk frozen yoghurt. Pretty much addicted to it. I went for Strawberry and New York Cheese Cake and topped it with colourful cereals. I thought the cheese cake yoghurt would give a 'thick' feeling but it was really 'light' and mild in the good way. Even Shi Hui, who isn't a big fan of yoghurt, liked it a lot. Haha. Woon Ching opted for the Original Tart flavour which is very refreshing and has an interesting sour profile.
I LOVE SOURMILK! (:
