UBP Committee Meeting

Had a meeting to update each other on the progress of the Urban Beach Pageant. Met up at the newly opened SCAPE shopping centre (it's right behind Cineleisure!) and had the meeting over dinner at the White Dog Cafe. Food's really cheap and good. (: I want to try out the Music Cafe by Swee Lee next time!
We had supper too. Ice cream! There're quite a number of small eateries at the ground floor outside SCAPE too. The layout is terrible so you have to walk around to find them. I think the ice cream shop is called Marble Slab Creamery. We ordered a banana split along with a mixed one. Chatted randomly over hot fudge, whipped cream, and ice cream. (:

A Morning Walk Around MacRitchie Reservoir, Cow Tits, and more Xin Wang HK Cafe.Esther: The sunshine makes everything look beautiful.
Charmaine: No wonder people always have their wedding photos taken outdoors.
Because the people themself don't look all that good, lah, dey. OK, that's beside the point. The sun really does make everything look good.

Can you spot the slimy little critter hiding among the brown leaves? (:

I nearly banged my head on the humongous tree branch! Didn't think it would be that low...

Udders ice cream... Cow tits... Or cow nehneh, as I prefer to call it. Best ice cream I've had in Singapore! (Have yet to try out other ice cream parlours but I will one day.) This one reminded me of the Cold Stone Creamery ice cream I'd in Taiwan, though it is also far from it. Argh. I want my Cold Stone Creamery ice cream back! ):
Back to Udders. Their Orange Choc Bitters ice cream is GOOOOOOOOOD! Made using dark Belgian chocolate and an orange liquer called Triple Sec. Heh heh. It's a must eat flavour! On the other hand, their Green Tea-rrific falls short of my expectation. It's more on the creamy side. I happen to like my matcha bitter. :D

Need a cup of water to rinse your palate? Go ahead and squeeze the udders, uh, I mean pull the tab of the water dispenser! Don't you think this is a cute one? :D
To the person who wrote this: I can't agree with you more!

I've had a good day! It started the moment I took a lift down my block on the way to work. This little boy was asking his father why the lifts always stop at the 1st and 11th floor. A simple question like that made my day. I like inquisitive minds and logical reasoning. (:
Finally got the email asking us to choose our topics for the final year project. Was analysing the pros and cons, and possible resources for each topic before deciding. I really hope I get the one related to microbiology! I just love microbiology (even though others fail to see why I can describe bacteria as cute and mold, furry) !
May Ping and Mei Ferng are back from their trip to South Korea and Hong Kong! May Ping dropped by IFF to pass us all the souvenirs this afternoon while Mei Ferng had passed the stuff through Shi Hui. Thanks, girls! (:

Tomorrow will be another good day! (:
I've to become a better person. And I have a long way to go. But first, I've to take care of the past. Some memories needn't be dug up again, nor neither do they deserve to be shunned aside. I'm putting an end to everything. Then I shall face the future, even if it means I have to be alone to be happy.
One down, one more to go.

The older I get, the more perfect strangers would strike up conversations with me.
When we were young, the adults were always telling us not to talk to strangers. But those who come up to me aren't the shady kind. Most of the time they are people who I pass-by while eating or shopping. They would have observed me for awhile before starting a conversation. God knows what about me intrigues them so. At other times, they would tell me their life story.
They're all wise men who have been through a lot and have seen all kinds of humans. And I know they saw me for who I am - my good points, weaknesses, abilities, etc. They saw things in me that everyone else around me fails to notice. They know I'm one who knows more than I let on, and that the amount I know is a double-edged sword. They know despite my knowledge, I'm still naive. It's really complicated.
My biggest regret was probably not being friends with them. I should have gotten their contact info or something, meet up with them on other days, and just have peaceful conversations about the world, life, and the works.
I really need to meet one of these strangers again. I'm losing my sense of identity these days, wondering what my true personality is and what my mission in life is. I'm even wondering whether my abilities should be used for good or evil. With knowledge comes arrogance and boredom. I don't know anything anymore. I really don't know.
Dear God, please let me meet one of these wise people again on one fine afternoon so that I can have a good chat with him/her. Thank you.

I can't believe I spent the day shopping with Shi Hui. Ok, let me rephrase that. I can't believe what we did! We started at 12.30pm and ended at 7.30pm. She went home first at 8 while I continued till 9.30pm. Woah. The amount of walking done was wowie too. Here's a rough guide of my route today.
313@Somerset - Orchard Cineleisure - ION Orchard - Far East Plaza -
313@Somerset - The Cathay - Marina Square - Suntec City - Esplanade - Plaza Singapura
Had a good chat with some strangers too. Shi Hui and I were at (insert shop's name) at ION when the shopkeeper suddenly struck up a conversation with me. He's a real chatty and friendly guy. He told me he loved his job, that he likes meeting new people, and that he could see people from all walks of life where he works. He complimented on my eyes and thought I was a Japanese because of them.
Person no. 1654356472275762745413 to think I'm a Japanese. Is that suppose to mean that I don't look local? But it's a first that anyone has told me I have nice eyes. I've always been told my eyes are small. Lol. :D
When I went shopping at Far East Plaza later, another shopkeeper asked me questions too. This time, she thought I was a secondary school student. (
rolls over laughing) I'm that baby-faced, huh?
Some photos for the day. We had late lunch at Astons Specialties at The Cathay at 4pm. And sitting by Esplanade at the Singapore River to soak in the city lights and band music.
