More random photos for now. My life has been boring this week. Apart from the daily dosage of havoc in school, nothing interesting happened.

The colorful swiss roll that Nabilah's mother made.

It turned out today's cell biology practical was meant to be e-learning. So whoopee, 5 hours of break and nobody brought anything to do because, hey, we weren't expecting any cancelled lessons.

Here's what most NYP students do in the library. We've a cosy library, afterall. It's funny how Shihui uses a thick cell biology reference book as a pillow.

There're two things I like about these stairs. Firstly, I like any sort of architecture with glass. Especially high, glass walls. Secondly, don't you think it's adorable how you can opt to turn left or right even when going down a flight of stairs? LOL.

There was a photoshoot going on during cell biology lecture. It's going to be an odd photo. It's not everyday you have all heads facing the screen and smiling, of all expressions. :O

Happy birthday to Rachel, Yuekai kor and cousin Gerald! :D
I woke up to a fever this morning. And the first thing I did was to sing Burnin' Up by Jonas Brothers in my head! Then i spent the rest of the day popping panadols and sleeping. I just about slept 16 hours straight, from 2am-6pm. It did me a lot of good because I'm back to normal now.
My cough's a pain, though. My stomach muscles suddenly cramped when I was coughing last night and it hurted like (inserts obscenity). Just now, I saw specks of blood in the phlegm too. Aaaarghh -.-

I only lose my temper when my friends are being bullied.
I guess I must lost my temper quite a few times in Maple. Especially in KS wars. Lol.
I'm glad all of my maple friends still remember me, even after so many months.
I love & miss them too x3

Dr Phoon turned out to be nicer than I thought. Maybe it's because he's stricter during lectures. But he's nice during practical. We just played around with molecular models
(http://www.molymod.com) and went through the answers together. So yay, no report to write for today's prac! :D
After the organic chem lecture, Woon Ching and I went to the library cafe. Recently, she's addicted to Kettle's honey dijon chips. We both ordered hot chocolates too. Perfect for a cold, rainy day.

We attended Musique La Fusione at Theatre for the Arts at 7.30pm. It's organised by the NYP Piano Ensemble. My primary schoolmate, Shu Jian was performing in it and invited me to go.

Half-filled.

Fully-filled now.

Thanks Shu Jian for inviting me to this concert!
Thanks Woon Ching for accompanying me to this concert!
Anybody else wanna join me to attend such concerts in future? Just tell me. :D

Ok, I finally got the blog codes right. The past 2 nights i was either too exhausted or busy to go edit it. I like the simplicity of the new layout. Especially the moving photos! I just like to be creative and differentiate myself from everyone else.
Congratulations to all NYP aikidoka on passing their grading! :D
Bye bye, white belt.
Hello, orange belt!
Yesterday, i also found out that Shiro quitted aikido. He might be quitting his polytechnic education at NYP too. Woon Ching & I bumped into him after the communication skills lesson. We were stunned for a moment. I don't think the possibility of a friend leaving us ever strike us lah.
Life doesn't always go your way. It's up to us to make life meaningful and fun for ourself. We keep saying "Life's meaningless", "Life sucks". So why not make things go your way? Just follow your heart and everything'll be all right. Even if your dreams or fruits of labour doesn't come true now, they will in the near future.
I'm saying this not as an optimist or pessimist, but as a realist.
Scenario 1
NYP Library, North Wing
1.20pm+
Charmaine: (Concentrating on her PSP game)
Unfortunately, she made a mistake towards the end of the game stage. Enemy takes advantage of the opening and it's GG the dunno-how-many time for her.
Charmaine: SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!
Now fastforward a little..
Scenario 2
NYP Library, North Wing
1.40pm+
Charmaine: YESSSSSSS!!
I finally cleared that stage! I attempted that stage so much until i can analyse the pros and cons of each option. Pffft. :D

I spent my weekend eating, sleeping & playing my PSP.
What a perfect weekend! :D
I tried out the game, Jeanne D'Arc.
& WOW.
I love that game so much.
I love the characters.
I love the storyline.
Most of all, i love the damn graphics.

This is one of the battles in the earlier part of the game.
As the game progresses, the battles gets a lot harder.
You've to think of battle plans & utilise every member's skills.
But that's what make the game fun!

& wooot!
Anime scenes in between gameplay.
I got stunned the first time i saw it.
It's like watching anime & playing an RPG at the same time..
The anime's nice to watch leh +_+
So back to Jeanne D'Arc.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joan_of_ArcTo cut a long historical story short,
she's a teenager who received messages from a few Saints, telling her to save France from the English in the 100 years' war.
& so she did.
Sadly, she was wrongly accused by the English & was burned at the stake when she's 19.
Damn! -.-

Met up with Woon Ching & Raymond to check out Little India & Geylang Serai.
Project 1's getting to be a pain.
It involves so much imagination & research.
& i got extremely annoyed while taking the escalator.
Imagine there are already 2 people standing on the escalator step.
And someone says "Excuse me" and tries to climb up by walking between the 2 people.
SO IRRITATING LAH!
I really feel like pushing her off the escalator -.-
Literally, i mean.
Why can't idiots like them just get up earlier in the morning and avoid rushing to work?
Woon Ching was late 'cos she slept through all her alarms.
Sounds like what usually happens to me :D
Except that i'll continue snoozing until 12pm!
Heh.
Raymond & I waited for her at the bus stop outside the station.
Then we headed for Mustafa.
There wasn't much to do there.
Went there mainly to find out about the various spices & ingredients used for cooking Indian dishes.
Took a train down to Paya Lebar next.
We visited one of the wet markets there.
It's been years since i went to one.
There aren't much in Sembawang. :/
So the smell of freshly caught fish & slaughtered meat was..
A bit too much for my nose :D
It was funny.
'Cos Woon Ching's feet & slippers were dirtied by the dirty water.
& a tiny slice of fish was stuck to my leg.
PFFFFFT ._.
Disgusting, i know :O
Went to Geylang Serai next.
Some Malay Village place.
I don't know the full name of that place.
& some school children were having NE tours there.

There was a guy teaching martial arts.
Makes me wish i could be with them to try it out :D

LMAO.
Raymond in a Chinese medical hall!
Makes you wonder what a guy his age is buying, huh? ;D

Mooooo!
We got Raymond to pose with his blur-looking relative! :D

We stopped by a kopitiam to get some drinks.
That's the iced teh tarik milo dinosaur Woon Ching & i ordered.
Mine was a lot sweeter than hers ><" But after drinking this,
our stomaches felt woozy.
It's like too much gas was incorporated into the teh tarik.
GAH!
I'm never drinking iced teh tarik again.
Ought to have it piping hot.

Raymond's iced teh tarik with horlicks.

We took a taxi back to NYP 'cos we don't have enough time to take a train.
Good thing too.
'Cos it started raining a few minutes after we boarded the cab ;)

Rain, rain, go away!

The lecture was pretty ok.
I don't have a problem understanding lectures this semester (yay).
My problem lies with memorising them ._.
The lecturer is good at explaining the hybridisation concept.
But his tone gave Woon Ching a big headache :3

This is the resident cat of my block :D
The Malay family on the ground floor adopted her.
I hope to be able to photograph her 2 kittens soon.
For now, watch her resting on top of the family's laundry rack.
LOL :)

Post Number: 1
Title: Just some random (& amusing) photos ;O
I first saw this cat during the NYAA camp night trail.
& i saw it again last Friday, 10 Oct.
That time i was following WC, Wan Wen, Jasmine, Yi Ting & Bi Xue to get school stuff.
Wait, no.
I HEARD IT, NOT SAW.
It was meowing non-stop yet i couldn't see it anywhere.
So i stopped walking & looked around.
Can't help it, i'm an animal lover :D
Found it hiding inside the canal.
I just stood there, hoping it would come out.
It kept staring at me & meowing lah x_x
Then as if deciding i'm innocent, it came out.
The cat was so cute.
When i took out my hp to take a photo of it,
it looked at me for awhile as though afraid i would harm him/her.

Still peeking inside the drain..

Looking around now.

MEEEOW!! :D
OMG I FEEL LIKE LAUGHING WHENEVER I SEE THIS PHOTO.
Must be the cutest photo i ever took.
Whenever i'm around animals, i either:
1) Go misty-eyed. 'Cos i love them to bits.
2) Smile to them nicely or laugh if they're too cute.
3) Cry if i see dying animals.
I'm not sure if i'll still cry for dying animals on the streets now.
I remember crying for a dying cat when i was a toddler or something.
I could only watch it die.
Was too young to understand death then :/
Oh yea, my parents decided to dine at Sakae Sushi on Saturday.
For no particular reason too.
Turned out the Sakae Sushi @ Sun Plaza improved a lot too.
Last time.. wasn't so great.
Now it's fascinating. :D

Ordered this teppanyaki special.
It had sticks of unagi, salmon stuffed with asparagus, chicken, scallop & prawn coated with a sauce.
I don't usually take sweet sauces but this sauce's good.

Fancy this.
A chawanmushi with a layer of onion used as the bowl.
Interesting!

Mushrooms cooked in the teppanyaki style.
I happen to like mushrooms too. Lols.

My dad & i kept drinking cups of hot green tea.
I'm trying to find a Japanese restaurant that provides you with green tea powder.
Most just give you a tea bag or diluted green tea. -.-
I just want the experience of drinking tea made with powder in a restaurant.

My dad helped me to take it off the conveyor belt 'cos he saw me trying to take a pic.
After taking this photo..
I PLACED IT BACK.
LOL!
It's untouched & safe for consumption ok?!
AND AND AND,
I FINALLY got to try out the cafe, OChaCha!
It's an all green tea cafe at Raffles City, B1.

Yep, all of them are made with green tea. :D

Green tea honeycake.
$5.20 a slice.
I only like the bottom layer, the cake.
The middle was green tea fudge.
The top was too weird for me. It's like hard agar agar.
Overall okok lah ;x

My matcha freezie.
Must be green tea powder, milk and ice.
It's nice for a cool drink.
But i still like Shokudo's matcha & azuki beans smoothie :D

First day back at school & already 'working hard'.
I can't believe i've another semester of A-maths.
I thought i'm through with maths after last semester -.-"

Weather's so fine!
I know you people are thinking, What's so nice about some plants, buildings & a rubbish bin?
Well, let's just say i can find the beauty of all things..
That's why i like to look outside windows a lot.
