Ok, something IS wrong with me.

The normally dreamless me,
ok lah, even if have,
also is those nonsensical ones.

But lately i keep having nightmares.
Worse still, it's always about someone's death.

So dammit eerie, can?

What kind of normal person goes about dreaming about death?!

As if dreaming about MY own death was not enough,
i dreamt about my mom today.

It must have been pretty frightening for me.
I remembered crying really hard in my dreams.
Then i woke up.
I realised my hands were clenched tightly.
For a moment i thought i was crying for real too.
But no lah. Lol.

The nightmares aren't realistic at all.
As in, so fake till they won't happen in reality.
The thing that bugs me is why i'm having such dreams.

Disturbing leh, i tell you.

I'm a slave to my love of hotels !

I even love the cheapo 3-star motel in Kun Ming, Yunnan. And the toilet doesn't even work.

There's just something so dammit classy about hotels. I can't resist it. :O
Just like how SPGs can't resist caucasian men.
Bwahaha.

I like how hotels always have some super nice view.
I like the hotel service.
Ring-a-ling, and they come over to your room!
I like the air con, the dim lamps, the amenities ..
Oh yea. And the goody food. :D

Happy 21st birthday to my cousin, Mun Hong!

He's the guy on the far right of the picture.
I think he looks like a Japanese boy now!
Haven't seen him in a long time.

My 2nd uncle held a celebration at the Straits Kitchen @ Grand Hyatt Hotel (next to Far East Plaza).
$40++ x 15 people = $600.
Small amount to my rich uncle. :X

I was hoping it would be an international buffet.
Sadly it wasn't.
I prefer western and japanese food.

Everything there is like, local food !
Char kway tiao, fried rice, laksa
And a whole load of spicy meat
i eat something like tom yam fish -_-
and this chicken was fried malay-style,
so **** hard, dry and full of chili oil !
no offense to the malays lah.
i just don't like overly fried meat T_T

I also had some Indian food.
I like Indian food.
The spices very xiang de!

My 4th uncle specially ordered a Halal fruit cake from Bengawan Solo.
The waiters and waitresses brought it over after lunch.
They even sang a birthday song,
to the tune of Rasa Sayang Hey!
Super adorable xD

Everyone left after lunch except my family and my aunt's family. But my cousin, Gerald wanted to go home too so it was just my aunt and Valerie.

We then walked around Tangs.
The 3 adults couldn't stop talking la.
Make me and Val walk around the men's section 4 times.

After the 4th round,
ME: "the only thing we're seeing here are men's briefs and boxers!" >:x

Why are briefs so dull-coloured and panties so brightly-coloured? :X

Then we went to the toys section.
Val went to push Winnie the Pooh's nose into his face until he was nose-less Winnie!
Then she did it for 2 other small Winnie.
I made the big Winnie hug the 2 smaller ones.
"The noseless Winnie family" !

After that we went to Centerpoint.
Nothing much there.
Skip skip!

Walked to Dhoby Ghaut.
Legs killing me liao.
Went to Daiso for fun.
Then went for dinner.
Only me and Val can eat.
The adults were too full from lunch.
Hehe.

I admit i'm not one for camps.

Not with the crap they call food,
smelly dirty beds they call our bunk,
and the damn ungodly waking hours.
Any time before 8am is ungodly to me !

RED Camp 4 must be the best ever.
You get yummy fast food for your meals.
You win cool prizes everyday.
You get to see once-in-a-lifetime stuff.
You tease your SL and sabo other teams.
Fun fun fun ! :D

We had like, KFC chicken burger + a piece of chicken + whipped potato
and pizza hut 1 slice pizza + 2 spicy drumlets + garlic bread.
Everyone's drooling for lunch luh .

School of Business & Accountancy
Li Ping and i were 1 of the 5 winners of the Nivea Design a ZO card competition. Got a bag of some Nivea products.

But frankly speaking, BA ain't much of my thing. :)

School of Engineering
I can't believe aerospace stuff interest me. It was so cool to look inside a real A-4 Skyhawk (i hope i got it right?)

& we got to fool around with LED, resistors and etc etc. We got to design this light-up badges. Like those kind you always see people wearing at Orchard on Xmas days. Rofl.

School of Humanities
We got oreo cookies to eat! And it's related to psychology! *squeals*
The way you eat shows your character and behaviour.
I so, so, so love psychology !
Really hope i can enter this course!

Got a puppet show by the Early Childhood Studies department.
They got sooo many puppets !
Even have Old McDonald's Farm all on 1 glove lah !
Shu Rong gave puppetry a try ;D

Then everyone tried chinese calligraphy at the Chinese Studies showcase.
I was never good at calligraphy even though i learnt it in pri school.
We were suppose to draw a panda,
the mascot of the humanities school !
His name is Hammy! *i hear Esther laughing*
The lady there (not sure if they're lecturers) said my panda was cute :D

And there's a new course, Business and Social Enterprise. Quite related to those charitable organisations, i suppose. Maybe we'll have less cases of monetary scandals in future. -_- Useless bums who squander public funds for their own benefits.

School of Film and Media Studies
:O
TV shows, radio broadcasting & the works !
& this building is like a freezer =.="
Rong requested for Jenny by the Click Five during lunch.
:D

School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology
my 2nd most fav .
nursing is so cool !
even though their COP is among the lowest.
we learnt how to administer IV drips, CPR on infants, blood pressure tests and be a midwife.
giving birth is so..
walao. must snip THAT AREA.
sibei gao wei =.=
i wanted to ask if that CPR thing works on infant cot deaths.
but didn't ask. oh well.

they also have this SUPER high-tech dummy,
which we all named Mr Botak .__.
he can breathe, blink, has a heartbeat etc.
exactly like a real human.
oh yea. he dies too. :D
all of us learnt to revive a 'dead' person.
quite scary, actually.
our lecturer was so pwah!
she so full of energy. lol.
my group funny luh.
someone said, just let him die lah.
it's his time to go already.
LMAO !!! xD

We were shown the room where babies were kept too. All the incubators are so cool. I wonder why those babies never get cooked alive lah. o.o
& ladies, NEVER drink alcohol when you're preggy.
You don't want your baby's cries to sound like a ghoul -_-
Sibei eerie i tell you.

We fooled around with liquid nitrogen in life sciences.
cryogenics is so damn cool :D
the old guy dunked fruits into the liquid N,
which turned in a ice solid,
then he smashed it with a hammer,
& it went CRACK !

Anyone wants to try with their finger? ROFL .

Liquid N + F&N = slurpee
Yup. It's really edible. Tried & tested.

They even gave us biscuits dipped in liquid N to eat.
You really can see steam coming out of your nose!
Loads of laughs.

For molecular biology, we had to squeeze 10m long of thread into a tiny capsule, like those medicine pills you take.
Trick was to twist it.
Think of your DNA.

Ninjas & Spartans are actually allies! Teh spanjas!
We kinda roared at the Apaches, Vikings & Centurions.
The other 3 formed a last minute alliance to fight back.
Teh Achukings!
The emcee (dunno his name) called them a horny pokemon with a gender issue!
Achukings kena pawned by him :D

He also said Paul Twohill has two hills,
but he has two balls.
Oh my Gawd. >_>

And he thought if our urine was the same color as what we drank, then if guys drank milk, their urine will be.. white. >_>

Sick jokes la!

<3 Thomasina, Geraldina, Sha, Coolio & all the other SLs.
<3 Ninjas (yata!)
<3 the horny vikings !
<3 spartans, apaches & centurions!

NP is just so much fun :D

Mistaken Identity

I was shocked that a stranger would know my name (although i DID put my RL name in my forum siggy). So i asked him who is he and he kept mocking me. Finally he asked me which class i'll be in next year and i was like, i graduated already. -_-

Then he realised i was the wrong Charmaine. The hell. =="

Arguing about map ownership. Sick & tired of immature brats who think maps belongs to maplers.

My first level after semi-quitting.

Nice HP. 987. Sounds like my favourite radio channel, 98.7FM. :D
& grats my buddy RainyMaggie for leveling.

Training with DkPanda and my didi, aerialHEAL.

Strangely enough, i confided in aerialHEAL & calvinhwa.
I want to thank them for being patient listening ears and worrying for me.
This is the first time i confided in people.
I usually don't like sharing my problems.
Even if i confided in others, i don't think they will have the experience to know i feel anyway. Nuff said.
I don't want to talk about this anymore.

I'm taking a short break for now!

Effing sad .

Wednesday, November 14, 2007 | 8:07 PM

Finally got my silver clutch @ Bullet Fashion at Far East Plaza. I decided against going for those express manicure. I don't think they will help you to do fancy designs if it's suppose to be a quick job. Pffft.

The DIY designs they sell are costly too. $12 for a packet of those stickies. What the fish. Like trying to earn my money just because i want to do it myself. -_-

Then i thought, eh, DAISO sure got a lot of cheapo goods. They sell so much barang barang, nails de sure have also!

And i was right. :D

$2 only! Siao bo. Save $10 leh. They have some reeeeally nice stick on nails, 3D patterns and rhinestones there. It's damn good, considering it's $2 only.

In the end i bought some tiny, 2mm in diameter, flat, round pieces. Got hot pink/light purple/white/light green. I already got some nail art ideas from various pictures.

AND i'm back to mapling.
But seeing everyone around me looking for a job makes me feel so..
Make me feel like a bloody FREELOADER !
Maybe all of us are until we work. Whoops?
BUT the money i spent on Acash comes my allowance.
So don't bullshit to me about anyhow spending my parents' salary.
MY allowance. MY way to spend it.
Heh. >:)

So the big 'O' is finally over.
Piang eh.
For all the hoohaa anticipating the end of mugging misery
I'm not screaming in joy.
More like i'm tired.

I'm bored (cos i got nuffing to do)
I'm lonely (cos nobody wants to talk to me 24/7; all too busy)
I'm irritated (ok maybe i'm PMS-ing here)
I'm annoyed (at the prospect of meeting someone in a possible gathering)

SI BEI PEK CHEK leh like that !
Heart also feel heavy with so much negative emotions luh.

Last Sat when i was at Orchard, when the food i wanted don't have, i UNCONSCIOUSLY banged the counter. Not that dramatic kind. Just smack my fist on the table. And then i realise, oh shit, i become violent liao. Violent when i'm frustrated.

Somehow this anger violence is an inherited trait in my father's side.
I'm more afraid of nice people becoming violent when angry as compared to those already violent people.

Those violent people always use violence to settle their problems.
But nice people try to settle things nicely before they reach their boiling point. By then they are unstoppable. Maybe they don't even need a reason to humtam you by then.

What am i rambling about anyway? -_-
Definitely too much on my mind now...
RAWR.
*meditates*

Saturday, November 10, 2007 | 10:38 PM

Manage to get a gold and silver flats at Far East Plaza (again) today. It can be a pain shopping with my mom sometimes because we have different tastes. Then again, i usually need a second opinion when i go shopping.

Couldn't decide on a clutch though. I was spoilt for choice. But i think i know what i will buy when i go back AGAIN next week.

Saw this super nice purple clutch with crystals at Tangs. $300+. Can't afford it lah.

`Mei: I'm sorry..

`Li Ping: Somehow just don't feel like going. Hehe.

I know that's my biggest problem but i don't know how to deal with it this time.

Friday, November 09, 2007 | 10:49 PM

I spent $300 over the past 2 days. First, there was my shopping trip around Far East Plaza with Esther, Ping & Pong. And just yesterday, i went to visit my hairdresser before he takes his week-long leave. Oh yea, i bought my prom dress too.

The majority, namely my hair and hair, was paid for by my mom. Must have been $270++.

My own cosmetics were no joke either. I bought them from a few shops, such as SaSa, Missha, Watsons, John Little. The most costly being the liquid foundation. $29.90.

Most of the make-up are glittery! Like my glittery mascara and my glittery silver eye shadow.

My colour theme will be purple and silver, which happens to some of my favourite colours luh.

My hair looks a wee bit weird now. At least it's neater compared to my old hairstyle. I have many frizzy strands of hair, you know? Frizzy and curly. URGH.

I had to endure 30mins of foul chemical treatment for that. It's like being forced to inhale ammonia. The damn gas stings my eyes as well. Basically, i kept thinking 'SMELLY SMELLY SMELLY!!!!!!!' for 30mins straight. -_-

I was originally thinking of getting my dress from Valerie or Cherrie from Far East Plaza. But i happened to notice this tiny shop at Toa Payoh. It's the kind of small shop you wouldn't give a second look at. I have a knack for noticing things that people tend to overlook. :D

I tried on 3 dresses and i like the purple one the most. Somewhat a spaghetti strap dress with a V-shape neckline and a silver ornament at the center. Not too sure how to describe it. But i think it beats paying a hundred bucks for some common plain dress with just ribbons and frills. Personal preference lah.

Think i will get my silver clutch bag and silver flats at Far East Plaza tomorrow. I'm going to Orchard again tomorrow.

NON-PROM: I'm glad Esther, Ping & Pong and i are all on the same group for the NP RED Camp. Shiokazoo. Otherwise will be damn lonely during the camp. :D

And i don't think i'll be going for the class chalet. My second uncle is organising a lunch for my cousin who is turning 21 that day. But that's not the point. I'm just keen to go for the chalet, i guess..

Personal reason. I have very strong views that make me disagree from most people, i guess. Not many people think like i do. :)

Oh, bless the pinkishness of the template.
I have no idea why i decided to pick it.
So super girly and childish.
But i like the rainbows.
At least they are decent looking.
I don't like those black layouts.
'Cos i don't like anything too teenage-ish.
They are too angsty for me.

I have a reason for creating a new blog.
(I didn't delete the old one ya)
I HATE IDIOTS.
I ABHOR PEOPLE WHO WASTE THEIR LIVES DOING SHIT.
Why can't they do something nice and contribute to the society for goodness' sake?

I'm not talking about convicts or anything. I have nothing against them. I believe in freedom. You do what you want, i do what i want. Just don't get in each other's way and i am fine.

I'm ranting about morons who just waste their time doing nonsensical shit.
(Rolls eyes at someone)

Don't want to talk about it already. Pui. -_-

I didn't put much info about myself in the template column.

ABOUT ME

Hello! Nice to meet you! I'm Charmaine. I graduated from NYP with a Diploma in Food Science, but I'd rather eat a smelly sock than go into that field. I'm hoping to become a psychology undergraduate this year. In the meantime, I'm working as a waitress at SoHo7 Cafe & Bistro (I may just be the one serving you!). Do pop by for our freshly roasted coffee and yummy grilled food, and say hi to our cheery (and somewhat gaga) team! :D

CHARMAINE CHEONG.

I’m a somebody and a nobody. I’m rational and emotional. I’m critical but I’m non-judgemental.

I like my things categorized by types and chronologically. I like taking photos to preserve the moments of my life. I like dystopian literature. I like reading Wikipedia articles at random. I like travelling to foreign lands and seeing the world. I like long conversations over good food. I like pop and classical music. I like guitars. I like cats. I like writing random, mushy letters and notes to the people important to me. I have a whole long list of things that I like, but you’ve got to get to know me better to know them all.
