Ten years ago this week, Bobby and I met. This November we will welcome our fourth child into our family. And in January we will celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. I had always heard that "you just know" when you have found the one. I did. At the time I did not know what it was about him. I just knew he was different. Now I know that it was the Lord. I have not regretted one day I have spent with this man of mine. His love for God, me and our children continually reminds me of how awesome our loving God is. God gives great gifts to his children, even the ones who are not worthy of such things. And I am ever thankful for it!

Recent Conversation
The other night after all the kids were tucked snugly in their beds Hannah gets up and comes into my room.
Hannah - " Daddy's got different germs than us because he has a different Mommy."
Me - " Well, he has some of the same germs as you because he's your Daddy. You have half of my germs and half of his."
Hannah - " WHAT?" She is really confused at this point.
Me - " Well, you have to have a Mommy and a Daddy to make a baby so you get both of our germs." The teacher in me does not know when to shut up!
Hannah - " How do you make babies anyways?"
Me - "Hannah, go get back in bed!" Thankfully the mom in me quickly remembered that it was past her bedtime.

It's A Boy
For those of you who have not heard yet... The Purdum family is expecting another BOY in mid November. We don't have a scanner anymore or I would post the picture from the ultrasound. Bobby says he is going to convert the DVD they made us so I can post it, but with all that is going on around here I am not holding my breath!
Also, a few people have mentioned that they cannot comment on here because they do not have a Gmail account. You can comment , you just have to choose anonymous when commenting. Just be sure you put you name in the comment box so we don't have to wonder forever who is commenting.
You can see some photos over at our myspace page of the kids. I will work on getting them up here.

Free Curriculum
"Rosetta Stone has been the #1 foreign language curriculum among homeschoolers for a while -- next week they are unleashing a brand new curriculum, and you can WIN the *all new* Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3… FOR FREE!
This is a $219 program and the winner gets to pick from any of these 14 languages: Spanish (Spain or Latin America), English (American or British), Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Irish, Hebrew, or Russian.
This will also include a headset with microphone, and students will participate in lifelike conversations and actually produce language to advance through the program. Rosetta Stone still incorporates listening, reading and writing as well, in addition to speaking. Many homeschoolers requested grammar and vocabulary exercises, and with Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 3, they're included! For parents, the new Parent Administrative Tools are integrated into the program and allow parents to easily enroll students in any of 12 predetermined lesson plans, monitor student progress, and view and print reports.
To win this most excellent program -- in the language of your choice -- copy these (blue) paragraphs and post it in (or as) your next blog post -- then to enter the contest, go to the original contest page HERE and leave a comment with the link showing where you blogged about it. And please make sure the link works to get back to the original contest page when you post it. And good luck! The winner will be picked randomly on March 26, and will be notified thru the link they left to their blog pg. And if you have more than one blog, you can post them and enter those separately for more chances to win. Yay for free stuff!"

Quirks
My friend, Wendy just started blogging recently. She tagged me to post 6 of my quirks. I think this is an attempt to get me to actually post something or to get you all to laugh at me. I am not sure which.
It was very hard to come up with 6 quirky things about myself since I am a the epitome of normal. But after hours of pondering I finally came up with these things.
1. I become extremely chatty as soon as I get into bed. This drives Bobby, and I am sure anyone who has ever spent the night with me, crazy. I can’t help it. My mind just works overtime once I lie down. I sometimes I talk until I am almost asleep and my thoughts and words become jumbled. I am positive this would crack people up if they had actually stayed awake to listen to me.
2. I hold my neck. I am not sure why. I started when I was in second grade and I do it more frequently when I am stressed or nervous. I stopped once for a few weeks when I moved to Georgia from Texas but then my mom mentioned it and I started again. I am so glad my kids have not picked up this habit.
3. I hate for people to call my kids nick names! If I wanted my son to be called Nick I would have named him Nick. His name is Nicholas. People do the same with Gabriel as well. Hearing him called Gabe makes my skin crawl!
4. I have a hard time being spontaneous. I like having a plan. If the plan changes, no problem I can adjust, but if there is no plan to begin with I can become quite irritable.
5. I cannot stand to vacuum! I will wash dishes, do laundry, cook and even do windows but I hate to vacuum. I am not sure why; it’s one of the easier domestic duties but around here Bobby does 95% of the vacuuming. I am teaching Hannah as well!
6. No one, not even Bobby, can touch my belly button! Yuck! It gives me the willies!
Okay, so now you know... I'm a freak.
I cannot think of anyone who reads my blog, that I know of who blogs but if you do feel free to consider yourself tagged. Anyone else who wants to is welcome to leave their quirkiness in the comments if you don't have a blog.
