Today I searched the junk and antique shops in town and found a few goodies! Some small pillows with white pillow cases, $1 and $0.50. A super old easter basket $0.50!! Then at TJ Maxx a super Bunny on a pink box. A small local store had a sweet paper bin (pink) with pink paper easter grass and I bought 3 small blue eggs for it's little nest. That was a whole $2! What FUN! I'm sorry to say my camera is not working. May be leaving it plugged in to comp is draining battery. So I will have ot share pictures later.

My first PINK SATURDAY!
HI!! I'm so excited to be a part of Pink Saturday! It is fun to visit everyone's pink items, it does give me too many ideas of things I "need". I have always liked pink. I still stick to Purple as my favorite color and Red and White are the best, Greens also fit in. So as you can tell I have pretty much a rainbow at my house. I just love colors. But back to pink isn't FUN! I know many that hate pink (I don't get it) which is sad. Pink is cheerful and homey. How can you not like it? I hope you like my collection of pink items! See you next week!
Friday!!!! and The Bears
TORANADOS! I'm in North Carolina and our are is very stormy with Tornados this evening. My family is safe at home, Thank God. All except my mother who has ventured to Teddies Spring Show in MD. She is there with all our oldest and dearest friends. The show is tomorrow. Our friend Robin is the the show host so when we go we are behind the scenes. It is just great to see all the teddies and other critters that come for show. IT is even BETTER to see their creators. It is still amazing to me no matter how long it has been they remember me and the lovlies that that created. I just know my friends are chomping at the bit to see everyone show up and then to see their creations. If you have never been to an artist bear show, GO. I just cannot explain how exciting the world is. There is even a gentelman who writes a mystery series based on these events, the artists and the bears! The stories are all fictional but even more fun if you know the featured artists. You will see one of my bears in my Pink Saturday post tomorrow! She is really sweet. One of many that will show up in my Pink Saturday Posts. If you have never seen a Pink Saturday Post or have and wondered about it check out the link on my page and have a Happy Pink Saturday!

Where did it go?
I was wondering around Wal-Mart today looking for Easter Baskets, and I decided to journey to the magazines. I had already been told that Mary Engelbrite's Home Companion is no longer being published and that Country Home was leaving us too! I know times are tough but there i a need and lots of want for these! It's sad to see that they folded because of lack of Advertising! I just hope someone somwhere can find a way to get these up and running AND help the ones still there. It was also sad to see the ones left (all great magazines don't get me wrong) are ALL advertising! Where are the features? I personally know SOOOOOO many great artists and even small business owners that have really great stories to tell. Lets hope this corrects itself. Never thought about being a publisher but I can look into it!
p.s. a big thanks to chris for helping with the photos. more original ones to come!

Easter Egg Hunt!
I was thinking yesterday, as I feverishly searched eBay for Easter items , that it felt like an Easter egg hunt. Eggs are great. Old/vintage papermache, tin, sugar... they are just too much fun. Decorate them with vintage flowers or dresdens and they are just so much better! You can also make them of fabric or wool and add just about anything to make them better! And since they are just Great to begin with the add-ons are gravy!!!!
But if you have eggs don't you need chicks, ducks, and BUNNIES?????
Of course you do! I found an absolutely perfect basket with eggs and a bunny!(ThanksLaurie @CharmingDesigns) I have been collecting chicks from PrimPenny(must see!) Egg Pockets from Huckleberryhandworks: just such a great idea! THEN.....
I had to search "vintage easter", so I'm getting small chenelle chicks and gloruious Post Cards!
Now I also have look for every chick and spring bird available: Check Jennifer Murphy and Bethany Lowe designs. I just love my little treasures. I feel like the Mail Man is my new best friend! You know when you anticipate their arrival and are almost breathless to talk to today. I also have become Best Friends with a few REALLY great Artists! That is definately GRAVY on the Easter Egg Hunt! But we'll get to that one another time.
Have a fablous Hump Day and do some Easter Egg Hunting it's too much fun not to!
