February started a little rough. Cdc had a cold again that he just wasn't strong enough to fight on his own. He was lying in bed all day just like a couple years back when this happened. We were tracking his oxygen to be safe and sure enough he got where he just wasn't keeping up. So in the middle of the night off I took him to the ER. They were telling me I'd probably need to take him down to Primary's in SLC - which I really didn't want to have to do with other kids at home to take care of. Lucky for us, when I asked if we could just take him home on oxygen they were more than happy to do that as long as I was comfortable with it! So by morning we were home with an oxygen tank! Cdc had a pretty good attitude about hauling that thing all over the house with him since he didn't have to go stay in the hospital again! He also tried really hard to eat his food so that he wouldn't have to go back.
We finally got a good snowman-snow-storm and the kids were pleased as punch to use the snowman kit I made them!
Moving to Park City and taking care of this property has allowed Pmc to have his own toolroom and space for fun projects. So we have made a habit of taking the kids to the monthly Home Depot kids' workshops to learn how to make stuff. It works well since we already have to go to Home Depot about once a week to get stuff for property projects!
Arc was pleased as punch that her friend AJ could come up for a visit. We took her with us to princess storytime at the library and they were pretty thrilled to meet Belle - Daddy's favorite princess.
The boys on the other hand were happy to meet Jack Frost - even though they hadn't yet seen his movie. We made sure to remedy that the same week!
These Cundick boys got pretty wrapped up in a Utah game during a little family get-together. It looks like we hadn't bothered to take down the Christmas trees yet though!
Cousins!
School experiments.
Arc really likes to dress herself.
Moose poop means we still have a moose - even though we haven't seen him in a while!
Can you find our Hawk?
Also, February turned out to be a pretty trying month. After a rough couple weeks at work, we were thrilled to be going out for a fancy dinner the day after Valentine's Day - only to have Pmc go to work to lose his job. The culture at work had been rough for a while - a very pressured dynamic with no room for mistakes. This was very hard on Pmc with his depression, and though he tried his best, it seemed like the more he tried, the harder it got. The environment had become very toxic to say the least. We canceled our fancy dinner. I had just received an email a few weeks before about the local music conservatory looking for violin teachers. So I went ahead and called to see if they still had a need. Sure enough they did and before the end of the week I had a job. So we decided that with a little violin teaching by me, and unemployment checks we could make it just fine while Pmc took the time to look for a job he really liked and wanted.
