Daddy

This is the DADDY in our home...He is a pretty dedicated daddy, and the kids love him! Can you see the enthusiasm in those kids eyes during storytime?
We took some pictures of the kids this week in place of the fact that we haven't done any professional shoots in a while. We had a lot of fun trying to get them to just play and not be too conscious of the camera.

Cdc has hit a stage where when he has a tantrum he loses body control. This one happened last Sunday, it stuck out about 1/2 inch from his head. Poor kid, maybe this is why he's having such attachment issues.
I love trying to get a glimpse into their worlds...all I really know from this is that Cpc loves yellow - I already knew that. It is by far his favorite color.Cdc fell asleep in the wave pool. He LOVES water.Cpc got a special Mommy/Daddy date this week to the bowling alley after therapy. He totally loved some alone time.Cpc's 3rd birthday is tomorrow, and for his birthday he got a special ride on the Heber Creeper. We surprised him and when he saw the train he was pretty excited.
Cdc loved the free ride too!Momsey and Grandpa Don joined us, it made for a fun ride.
Cpc's favorite part was looking out the window. So was Cdc's!
Cpc's least favorite part was when the outlaw's boarded the train to steal the money box. He was terrified.
Don't those three boys look good together?

So anyway, about the rest of our week. Like I said, Cdc is having some attachment issues - nothing new, I'm just reaching my wit's end on it. If I'm in the room he HAS to have me, unless nobody is home besides me and Cpc. If I'm not in the room, he really doesn't mind the fact that I'm not there. Agh. Cpc, well I think we're on his last week of occupational therapy for right now. He's doing so well. He's finally back to using the potty, and he's well regulated most days. If he's not, we know that it's because we haven't done enough (or anything for that matter) to help regulate him. Seriously, weekdays are easy, but weekends we just get lazy about it. Work is going well for Pmc, and he'll be doing a little extra work for his dad and his old job for this next month - so he's staying busy. I'm feeling pretty good about me as an individual, because I've implemented daily quiet time - and I'm actually doing some things that I want to do (like read books, organize Learning Circles, and work on my pre-joy-school program). It's beautiful. We just feel like such a happy family.

My little sister Ace is back from school in Washington, and she's living with us. Along with my little brother Hdhe hanging out here and there, we have a full house. It's fun to have my younger siblings around so much, and hopefully we can get along all summer.

I'm going to Bear Lake this week for a few days - two nights in a row without my husband. Have I ever done that? Oh yeah, I did last summer - I guess I can handle it. I will get to hang out with one of my best friends, as well as my dad.

I know I had lots to share throughout the week, but my brain is apparently a little fried tonight. So, I'll just leave it at this and be glad I updated!

It's Working

I am doing it! I am posting a blog post within a week of the last post. Yahoo! And the kids and I have had some really great days this week. Ahh, what a relief. I'm positive the sun is doing it's fair share to help, but I also think the work I've been doing to "unpack" my mind is helping a ton.

Anyway, so like I said, we had a great week. Mainly we are still spending lots of time at the park, as well as actually having fun around the house.

I managed to forget to post the picture from our trip to the zoo with my high school friend Hlp last week -

We had a family fun night watching "Princess & the Frog" at Pmc's work. I don't recommend that movie for little kids - it should definitely be PG.

Cdc is learning how to feed himself with utensils. I love watching this stage.

Cpc is super pro at writing his name these daysm and  Cdc       isa pparently learning  howtotype.O rhow to prevent me from doing so.   But really, Cpc is great at writing his name. And he can recognize it from a mile away!

I seriously think my boys in their cloth diapers, and with their bedtime dogs, are cute!

We went to hear my cousin Eva Timothy speak down in Springville, it was fantastic. Look at those links over on the side for "Lost in Learning" and "Finding Freedom." Fantastic perspective there. They had a little craft table set up there for the "kids."

We set up our sprinkler the other day to play in and cpc got all wet of course, and was cold when he came inside. So I told him to go lay his towel out on the sidewalk so the sun could dry him off. I came outside 2 minutes later and found him laying in the shade because that's where there was sidewalk! So obedient! So we of course got him into the sun!

Now here's a little video from right after therapy one week. You don't get to actually SEE Cpc sitting on the chair for five minutes - but really, he had never done that before and I felt like I had to video it! Then there is one video of Cpc singing. - not great quality, but oh such good singing! He's taking after Aunt Cse since she's living with us (Cse nearly drowned when she was 2 trying to find Ariel.)  And last but not least, one of the flooding we are experiencing around here. They keep fixing things in the park only to have to fix it a couple days later.

Dapper

The other day we went for a morning walk around the park - a couple of women who were walking near us commented that Cpc looked "so dapper." That sure made me smile. I think so!

We also went to Wheeler Farm that day with our friends Hn and Rn. We're considering lining Rn up with Cdc, what do you think? Isn't that lamb beautiful too?

Pmc got some extra temple time in last week, and just adored the flowers down at temple square. I did too on the day I got to go with him!

These two are very into cooking lately - at least when it's cookies!

A nice evening romp in the park with daddy.

This is the only picture we got of our trip to the cabin last weekend. Boy was it a nice relaxing weekend. I read half of a book without thinking once about all the things I needed to do. I LOVE M.O.M.

Short and sweet this week - but oh so completed! Sometimes you just gotta get things done right?
