I just wanted to let all of you know that my husband is now a published writer! He was recently hired as a writer for the sports section of the Utah Chronicle. Here's his first article!

Big Dreams
I thought for sure that with me only working a few afternoons/evenings now that I would have so much more time to keep up on things. The problem is I forgot how involved I get in projects. Now I am getting all my projects done, and hardly anything else!
So, pmc is back in school....oh, but I forgot to mention that he was out of school. Yes, he was. He finished finals with great grades, and got a short little week to pack in all the projects he had been putting off, before jumping back into classes. Luckily these classes are only for 5 weeks, with finals the week the baby is due.
So what have we been up to for the past three weeks without informing our little journal/scrapbook? To sum it up, I think we've been fulfilling our BIG DREAMS of living a simple life and totally enjoying it. Here are a BUNCH of snippets with pictures! Don't feel bad for skipping over them!
~We helped my little sister with her campaign for a senior class office! "I'm Thinking Aubrey!" She didn't win, but we sure had fun!
~We enjoyed the beautiful spring weather, which quickly turned to hot summer weather, too early for my perfect pregnancy plans.
~We attended my cousin Eli's wedding. Eli is 3 weeks younger than me and we grew up living less than a mile from their house. I've been so excited for him to get married, especially because this girl is just right for him!
~I've been doing some "Millcreek String Quartet" gigs, including playing at Eli's wedding reception. I really enjoy the chance to play with my siblings, as well as make some decent money!
~My sister and I have had a few joint baby showers. We really enjoyed the one with our Eyre cousins, since they were all in town for the wedding. We got so much good advice and cute stuff for our babies!

~Pmc has been getting his motorcycle fixed up!!!! I must digress here to tell you, I have always loved guys on motorcycles. I don't know if it's because my dad had one and would take us on little rides around the neighborhood. It doesn't need to be something fancy, just something fun. My roommate and I used to walk across campus after class past the motorcycle parking and admire them. Well, pmc was recently given this really old Honda with really low miles....and it's been so much fun to see his boyish excitement over getting it running properly and getting to ride it!
~We bought a new Frisbee (after I left ours at the ballpark one night....pregnancy sure does funny things to me...I never leave things places!) that glows in the dark, and have been totally into "extreme night Frisbee" with our little glow bracelets.
~I've been nannying for the family I used to nanny when I first got home from my mission. I absolutely adore these kids and love working for them. I'm so grateful their replacement nanny finally quit so I could hang out with them a bit before my baby comes! Then, my sister is going to take over with them, as it's been her dream job for a while! Anyway, meet "Baby", seriously that's what we call her. This little girl was a baby when I started, now she's 2. She's every bit as "spoily" now as she was back then.
~We got some time to play the Wii with our niece and nephew...it was so fun to watch them play MarioKart!
~I enjoyed my first Mother's Day. Pmc is the type to totally take advantage of any chance he can to spoil me and make me feel special. So he gave me gorgeous flowers and made me an excellent brunch, even after my false alarm trip to the hospital! Yup, I woke up at 6am on Mother's Day with 6 contractions that were very consistent, and even though they didn't hurt, we decided not to take our chances and headed up to the hospital. Of course they stopped as soon as we got up there, and everything looked just fine. But I had to sit on the stupid exam table to be monitored for like 90 minutes. It seemed like FOREVER! So we came home and slept, and went to pmc's family's ward.

~We were privileged to be able to talk to pmc's brother on his mission in Uruguay! We had him on speaker-phone for about an hour. It was so fun to have everyone gathered around that phone just asking questions and learning a little from him.
~We got to go up to the cabin with some friends. Pmc and Mike enjoyed the morning playing horseshoes while Hayley and I babysat them! As we were leaving to come home, the muffler fell off their car and made the car jolt so hard that Pmc's hat left a permanent dent in the ceiling of the car!
~During the most recent baby shower, pmc went with my brother and brother-in-law to the batting cages. He was so proud of this picture he captured of my little brother's hit!
We sure have had fun! All of this seems to make life look so fun. It's not everyday, but doing a big post like this will of that fun stuff sure helps us see the big picture....the one where most of the time life is pretty good!
I hope that I have enough projects, and pmc enough school & work, to keep us busy while waiting for our little son to join us! Pmc is very convinced the baby will come early, either that or he's just too excited and impatient to believe I'll deliver late. I'm just as sure as ever I'll go overdue, as it seems to be the trend in my family. I definitely have reached the point though where pregnancy is no longer fun, I'll do my best to enjoy it though! It's sometimes hard to wait though to see one of your biggest dreams fulfilled, and our child is definitely that!!
