Some of you wanted to see this bigger, and you can't do it on the left there, so click on this picture!

Tuca Tuca Stop Stop

For anyone who has never experienced a Suzuki Camp, you would really be amazed! We say this because that's what atec has been doing non-stop for ten days. She attended teacher training for Suzuki Violin Books 2&3, and actually came out with a different agenda than you'd think. Now she's decided she wants to see if she can start coaching youth string quartets. However, the truly exciting thing about Suzuki Camp is that you get to see hundreds (about 800 this year) of children of all ages (literally starting at age 2), all on one stage playing the same pieces together, and it sounds good too! The only drawback is that by the end of the week you get pretty tired of hearing Twinkle variations, (one of which is fondly called "tuca tuca stop stop") as this is the beginning piece that everyone learns first. Apparently atec got EXTRA tired of hearing it.....
This past week also marked the beginning of atec's 25th year, which was well celebrated. pmc took her to Ruby River Steakhouse for dinner, and a viewing of Oceans 13, a great movie which pmc was ready to see again the very next night. pmc also gave her a Red Sox hat, photo-coloring markers, and some beautiful black pearls (in honor of Pirates of the Caribbean....not really!).
This coming week also marks the first showing of pmc as Rocky in Damn Yankees. Just in case you still have not heard.......
atec could not be more thrilled for this week, as it means by the end of next week she will get her husband back full-time!
We were still missing one Sunbeam this week, but we thought we should at least take a temporary picture in case we never quite get everyone there. So here's our cute sunbeams class!
From left to right we have: pmc, Saydie, Lily, Wyatt, Gretchen, Hailee, Jacob and atec

Hickory Dickory Dock, the Cundick's really Rock!

Dun, Dun, Dun, ... another one bites the dust! The good news of this week is: Only three weeks 'til the play (Damn Yankees) is over and pmc has a life again - and more importantly atec has a husband again. If I only had a dollar for every time one of the Eyre's asked when it'd be over, I'd stop being bitter for this show being VOLUNTEER! Next time, I'm doin' it for the money.
Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's who are reading this. It's been a good day as we saw pmc's family (including Grammie and Boba) at dinner, and then saw atec's Dad and siblings afterwards for dessert (Blackberry Dumplings). We got atec's Dad a family pass for a future Bees game, and for pmc's Dad, we blew up a picture. (Sound's like fun, eh?) OK, but really we had a great picture enlarged at Costco and framed for Dad's office. It's this one, taken at a Utah football game. It's pretty sweet.
Last Sunday night we got to go over to Uncle Rick and Aunt Linda's to visit about family stuff and to spend some good family time. It was much needed and enjoyed entirely. (Partly because we brought the rest of the Papaya Salsa atec had made for dinner and everyone devoured it. It was SO good. I'm grateful that she cooks so well.) That's where this photo came from.
We're mostly very grateful these days for the gospel, because with the hectic schedule (Tenille started Suzuki Teacher Training this week) we appreciate taking time out to read and pray together a little bit more. We're enjoying this special time in our life to appreciate one another and continue to learn and grow closer. TGIT, KTFB!

You wouldn't guess as much, but....

We recently succumbed to the idea that we would not be able to return to visit our mission-field for at least a year or two. However, through atec's faithful daily checks of Southwest's Ding fares, we stumbled upon a fantastic deal! Although we will have two layovers each way, we will both be flying to Baltimore in September, for a total of $300. We could not be more thrilled. Not much has been planned for this trip except: we will be going to the Red Sox vs. Orioles game at Camden Yards, as well as attending church at the Frederick Ward where we served together! Among other less exciting, but still noteworthy happenings atec had a shopping spree this week. We know, this may sound like a white lie to some of you. However, with the coaching of her friend Andrea, her little sister Aubrey (deemed as the personal shopping advisor), and of course pmc who helps her find desire to look cute, she bought shirts, socks, shorts, shoes, and a skort! She even came home from the ordeal with a smile. pmc even got to enjoy a fashion show that evening.
We really don't have any other news. But we did decide it was time to have some good head shots of us individually. Don't we look good? :)

The Daily Grind

It turns out that even without school, there can be a daily grind. We're learning what it's like to just have the normal work week. We go to work in the morning, come home have dinner, and atec cleans up a little while pmc goes to rehearsals. Nothing too exciting there. We have to make big efforts to get a little time together, but gratefully it makes that time more special. Weekends come to mean a little more as well.
On Saturday we took some friends up to the Cundick cabin. We had the Severinsens, Mathesons, Naylors (to be....they get married June 30th), and us. We went up and cooked ourselves some dinner. Then the women watched the boys chase potguts (ground squirrels) with slingshots. atec was the only girl to shoot at some as well. We spent the late hours playing games and enjoying one another's company.
On Sunday atec got to show pmc the inside of the house she grew up in. We went with all the Eyre girls and wandered the house, reminiscing about each room. Of course, those who've been in it can understand how long that might take, but pmc and Sam (atec's sister Chelsi's husband) finally got to see the infamous house/project that holds all our memories.
We also got a chance to have dinner at atec's mom's house, with the future step-family, getting to know all of our new step-siblings, and make a few plans for the July wedding!
We failed to get pictures with our friends, or at the old house, but did get a picture of all the step-siblings!
