Trevor and Sara

Saturday afternoon, 11 January, Trevor Boynton and Sara Reheis were married. We were pleased to be able to join them on this great day. The weather was beautiful (the natives thought it was cold; we thought it was delightful) with clear skies and warm sunshine. Both Anna and Katy, who could not attend, asked for lots of pictures. So here they are!

Having just arrived, we ran immediately into the groom and
his mother (notice the draped photo booth in the background)

Emily caught this wonderful picture of Trevor sorting out Blake

This was a really fun weekend. Special thanks to Bonnie for putting us up in her lovely home. That's all for now.

January in Arizona

Thursday afternoon, 9 January, we flew from Provo to Mesa for Trevor and Sara's wedding. We had a day or so to play around before the festivities, so we visited, went to the movies, ate, and shopped a tiny bit. Friday afternoon Kris and I drove to Peoria to eat dinner with the Youngs. Em and Lizzy had arrived in Peoria by the time we returned to M&G's house.

Later Saturday we traveled way south in Gilbert to the wedding. It's crazy how big "The Valley of the Sun" is.  From where the Youngs live in the north to the southern end of Gilbert is about a two hour drive!

I will include wedding pictures in the next post. That's all for now.

Early January 2014

The holiday cheer just kept on going into early January. We started the 2nd with an early-morning walk along the BYU canal. Later we visited the current exhibit at the BYU MOA. That evening was the "friends-and-family" opening of Waffle Love, Colton (and Emily's) newest endeavor. The 3rd was Harry's 7th birthday party with his cousins. Anna and the Reno gang left early that morning and missed the festivities. Anna's boys stayed at Phillip and Meagan's house and Meagan and all the kids discussed pheromones. The boys got all excited and did some research on the matter and devised an experiment to see if mothers could identify their offspring by scent. Sadly Tucker and Anders missed the experiment that took place later that evening. After various dinners out (M&G with friends at CPK and Pippy's family and us at Thai Village) we met back at the ranch. The amazing thing is that the mommas scored 100%! The Youngs headed home on the 4th and P&M went to SLC for a getaway. Ollie and Meg stayed with us.

Everyone has returned to their homes, work, and school. Life is quiet and normal -- whatever that is. We are headed to AZ on the 9th, so that will likely be the next adventure.

That's all for now.
